Should i sell my alt coins ? coz block halving is in just 29 days and i think if i sell all my coins now then i could be able to make some good profits after halving (fiat) am i wrong?

Yeah you should sell all your altcoin right now before you late.. the price of bitcoin is increasingly fast and i think more price increase will come..
But if  the price of bitcoin is increasing withou effect for the price of altcoin.. just hold your altcoin and don't sell..

I always sell them on the fly. When I acquire some from airdrops or some form of payment, immediately to exchange I go and sell sell sell :)
Never was sorry that I have lost some small bits because of price drop or price increase.
For me its just to much to worry about to hold them alts on exchanges or separate wallets.
But that's just me, you should do whatever your reason dictates you to do.
Sell before halving? I would do so. Re buy later on? I wouldn't :)

i think depends what of kind alt coins you hold now. if that alt coins you hold seems doesnt have any future, better sell that now before the price will more decreased because got affected by BTC rising.

Yes Yes Yes .you can rebuy once BTC settles after halving.

I'm not so sure. There should have been a 'don't know' option.

I do remember LTC swelling it's market cap beyond 1Billion$ when the BTC $200 to $1000 rocket happened.

It could be that alts generally move up proportionately more, if BTC heads towards $8-900 only to have a long bear after - in which case better to hold short term.

Or it could be that a select few alts rise dramatically and the rest see a bear market short term.

good old USD from ebay and paypal ...then to BTC or LTC .......again its a win/win if sell all the crap I have up there (about 5k i figure) and  all crypto goes tulips i have a rec room to mope in :(

Looks like the big exodus from Alts to BTC hasn't started yet. The price increase is coming from the outside at the moment. Do you think, once that stops, people will start to sell their Alts for BTC?

Holding BTC makes the most sense while it's rising. I don't know why anybody would be holding altcoins right now. Best to trade to BTC now, then trade back to altcoins later.

All alt/btc are going down, so meaning you will be able to be more of your favorite altcoin in the future.

I agree with the above poster. It depends on which altcoins you're currently holding and your overall objectives.

The world is big enough to support several cryptocurrencies. And when these currencies become commonplace, the values will be much higher than they are now.

Absolutely not, bitcoin already increased 3 times in a few months, profit prospects are extremely low. Besides, this is not a "natural growth" but a huge pump & dump. As you can see here, almost 85% of btc trade is made on 2 0% fee chinese exchanges. And since they control most bitcoin and 70%+ hashrate its easy to understand why, they pump only what they control (build strong mining equipment and mine with it with 0 cost, while selling it to suckers later for thousands of $) aka btc, ltc, and some other small cryptos.

Altcoin is all red right now and may keep at current level or at some dumped level before halving. Selling bitcoin at halving and buying altcoin with it at that time will be nice move i think.

If you didn't know you should be dumping the hell out of alts then you shouldn't be trading.  The only reason scamcoins like Ethereum haven't imploded to nothingness yet is because the single entity pumper that controls price has been blowing thousands of BTC trying to prop it up.  They'll eventually throw in the towel, then you'll see them drop the hammer causing a flash crash.

as many people said trade bitcoin would get more profit than altcoins currently because the prices grow up with pretty fast today and possible too the prices will more increase than the current prices after halving and i think that's why many people has hold their bitcoin

There are a few good altcoins out there, but i wouldn't bag holder them right now.
With bitcoin price increasing, they will probably drop more and more.

Alts are rising against fiat money. Dumping your alts is pure impacience. The only thing that needs dumping are these ico-scams before they let the air out and burry you.

- did you see the LTC/$ price? i am still waiting to sell them.
- have you checked ETH/$ price? I sold the half of my ETH today.
- ....

what will you do after halving? sell all your BTC?
and then? buying back the alts at a higher BTC-price?
