Since halving is still 28 days away, is it a good time to buy bitcoins now and sell it after halving?
Though the price just rised rapidly.

People have been asking this since Bitcoin was 200 dollars.. so you can buy now or keep asking when the ideal price to buy Bitcoin is.

Also good luck when trying to sell, you may miss on having a ticket to moon when you think you are doing a great short.

the halving date is not the day to watch, (although there may be a small bubble then)
about 4-6 months after the halving is when things should get interesting

The price has considerable raised today. but still if you are serious to get the benefits after halving you can still buy bitcoins, though now it has a little risk. The price is 640$ now and it if managed to raised upto 800$, you will only get a profit of 160$. There are those people who have invested in it when it was only 300$. So you can think of how high profits they will be getting.

even though the halving will happen only after a month i believe that it might be a really great time to buy your bitcoins at the moment because it will allow you to make some decent profit soon

not only the halving will make the price increase really significantly but also the interest of all the people who will buy bitcoins thinking that the price will go up and make them some good money

You never know. It can go up or down anytime before or after halving. I personally wouldn't buy any more after it touched 600 today. I also don't think you will make significant profits by buying in right now, so would suggest not to.

I would answer your question with yes. Because the price is not only driven by the upcoming halving, it is also driven by economical uncertainties like the Brexit poll or the bad development of the Chinese economy resulting in flight of capital. And some of the capital leaving the country is exchanged in Bitcoin what causes the strong growing of Chinese Bitcoin exchanges.

Saw the same question few days ago when the price was around $540 and people hesitate to buy since the bitcoin price had recently increased

I have heard this same delima from other members where price was around 300 to 400 level and now when price is already over 650$ you are asking same. I suggest you to buy now only small amount and keep half of your fiat in fiat form to grab more bitcoin if price get dumped by little.

it probably would have been better to buy a month or two ago, but if you want to play the market and make some money right now without having to hold for aa while, you could buy now and sell when there's money on the table for you, and then wait and see where everything goes after the halving. Bitcoin shouldn't double from its current value, and probably wouldn't have doubled from even $500, however I have no idea if that is accurate.

If you think that we are going to have a halving pump then a big dump, you should buy and sell at most in the halving time, because, if there will be a dump, will be right before the halving or before.

Yes it is good time to buy now, but buying is easy part. You can buy when ever and how ever. What is hard to make a good plan what you wish to do. Hold that coins for next 10 years? Do you wish fast earning, so when it jumps 100 $ to sell and have some money in pocket?

Make good plan, inform yourself what can go wrong. Be aware of everything and then make purchase. Better preparation means much higher earning.

nobody knows for sure. but you have to either take the risk an stop regretting because you missed the rises or you should just stay away and don't look at what you are missing every day.

Everytime i see the price go higher than a price ive bought at before i say to myself im not buying at this price. Then a few weeks or months later i look at the price and its higher and i then kick myself foe having not bought more at the previous price.

i have been seeing threads like these pop up when the price was just around $250!! stop asking yourself this question and get yourself some coins right now in order to not miss out on potential profits. if i was you i would buy right now with 50% of the money that you have for investment purposes, and keep the other 50% for when the price goes down as it will allow you to buy more coins at lower rates. this way you'll benefit if the price goes up, because your coins go up in value. and you'll benefit when the price goes down as it gives you the opportunity to decrease your average buying price by buying at lower rates.

Yes I think its pretty good to buy some bitcoins these days because the bitcoin has a good future a head with the halving this year.

Absolutely happen to me I was thinking to buy some as rate touch 575$ but then I drop my idea for some more up and down but now its almost touching over 640$ and I am kicking my self what shit I done

i guess you should hold your bitcoins for a while before selling in order to make reasonable profit out of them

It's your choice, if you know that the price of bitcoin is low enough, you can choose to buy.
But in my opinion, the price of bitcoin is high at the moment, although after Halving it could go higher.

I'd say buy now. The risk is really high currently, but it may be worth it in the long run because there's currently a hype and the halving is near. Although we do not actually know if the price would still increase by the time of the halving or will it go down.

You can indeed buy some bitcoins right now although the price is pretty high it will rise to a higher amount very soon due to the halving that is coming this year!

There are so many reasons, why people like us are not equip to answer this type of question... one being that none of us can predict the future. We can go with historical information based on the

previous Halving, but that might not be the same as this Halving. I think the current spike in price has more to do with Capital flight going on in China, but that is still speculation. This might also be just

some Chinese people with a taste for gambling, that might be betting that the price would skyrocket and they would be making millions. $200 a year ago were low.... we might see $2000 this year, and

If you believe that bitcoin is going to have a really good future then yeah it is still a great buy at this price.  in the short term it might not be a good buy but i think longterm it is a really good buy.  ;D

Buying the bitcoin can be good indeed but keep in mind that the future of the bitcoin itself is unsure.
Because of this its still a big risks to invest into the bitcoin if you are asking my opinion.

I personally dont buy right after high price spike as well, and I preffer to wait whether correction comes to buy bitcoins a bit cheaper. It doesnt work best all the time because you cannot predict Bitcoin price movements all the time, but it works for me often enough.

I think the halving is long term effect on the Bitcoin price where miners getting only half of what they get today, so there is chance with reducted supply from mining the bitcoin price can slowly increase over next years. If the demand for bitcoin keep the same, thats it.

if you are not sure what halving will bring, high price or low price, sell part of your bitcoin. but If you're sure that the price will be higher, hold your bitcoin then. or you may sell some of them and hold the others.

For short term profit, maybe it is not the best time to buy. However, if you are looking for long term gain, the risk is much lower and we can expect a much higher price in the coming years.

Don't know when is the best time, but you can buy some each week fir the next 4 weeks. Then dump it after halving.

This is based on your believing that halving will increase the price.

It would probably be better to sell just before the halving, in my opinion, because that is likely when the value will be at it's highest point (unless everyone starts buying) and you will be able to sell to the people still trying to get in before the halving happens. It's like dividend stocks, they are valued to most before the date of the recording occurs.

yes it is a good time to buy bitcoins now.. since the halving is almost one month from now and I think it is  a little far .. so if you will buy coins now chances are you could double your money now but   dont be so sure that you can gain a money  bitcoins value can go up or go down better check it out time by time.

I would buy at these levels still but be careful. Don't go all-in. Keep powder dry as there will be extreme volatility and retraces that will allow yo to cost average favourably

There is still time to buy some coins because it seems it is just beginning of the new era so only hard believer keep buying this in every condition, when price was around $220 last year than so many people bought this and kept it into safe place for brighter future and very soon it is going to the moon when it will touch its all time highest price.

Actually this is good time to sell your coins because all ready Bitcoin price is increasing day by day that too huge increment that we not expected like this much high amount we see for 1 Bitcoin. So better those who have coins sell and make some money don't know coming days what happen if suddenly it went down means it is huge loss only. You could still make some profit from this halving hype, however please do cashout when the price seems a bit too unsustainable. The last thing you want is to have all your savings evaporate.

I think it's always a good time to buy though, if you're a long term buyer.

Around this time it will be bad if you are going to buy some Bitcoin and that is because the value of Bitcoin is going to be more higher and that is nice.

I think it depends on each of us. If indeed we did not need the money (Enough) then it is better to use a portion of the proceeds to enjoy bitcoin now, if we are indeed in need of money it is forced to sell 80% of the bitcoin we have or sell everything to meet those needs

I don't think that it is the best time to buy right now, simply because the price is a bit too high at the moment. I believe that we'll see some adjustments in the short term, so buy when there's a dip.

And as with selling, I think selling just before halving is probably going to get you the best bang for your buck.

it's a confused situation if i say no but the price keep rising high day by day and if i say yes would be dangerous because the price can fall down anytime. in my view the price of bitcoin has rise so higher.

I think its no dude at this current rate.Bitcoins price is still pumping at this moments since high demands on btc before halving,but there are times that there are spike downs on its prices just put small offer and wait.But if you will buy at current rate that will not be worth.

If I had the money, I wouldn't buy at these levels right away. What I would do is wait for a price pullback, which I am sure is going to happen. I am not sure when that would be but bitcoin has been known to have wild price swings and the patient ones are those who are rewarded for waiting, not for the perfect time, but just at the right time.

what you told is correct who have purchased btc at 300 to 450$ price range have done their profit and i think they have sold it at $700+ range and this correction is healthy and in next week we will see the btc price above 800+ confirm.

Really its a good time to buy because large users were thinking to buy and due to sudden increase in price missed the buying at lower price. So now they can buy at a good profit and grab the profit on halving.

Exactly. There's really no 'right time' to buy coins as it would depend whether the person wants maximum profits with high risk or low risk but small profits by waiting out whether the bitcoin value goes up or fluctuates further downward.

when the price was at $750 and down to $670, I think it is the right time to buy, but then after I bought at $670 and today fell further and further around $585, and I got stuck. but I did not panic, keep waiting for rise back, even I think now the right time again to buy.
