When did you get into Bitcoin?  :)

I get into bitcoin in Early dec 2015 , My friend invited me long time ago but i didnt respond in his invitation. But when i see him own a brand new iphone , I was shocked cause he earn it by using bitcoins only. That was my first time of trying bitcoin

The first time I hear about bitcoin is about 9 month ago, when my litle brother know about bitcoin from his school friends, but I'm not to interested and then my brother teach me about bitcoin. After I'm understand about what amazing bitcoin I'm start to earn bitcoin by faucet.

I got into bitcoin few years back when bitcoin was popular at the cloud mining area, but before that i heard about bitcoin on the ads/popups and the name of bitcoin was curiosity for me and i searched about this new thing. I can say that it changed my life and the opinion about cryptocurrency.

The first time i heard about bitcoin is when i'm search on google how to earn money online and i found 1 article about bitcoin and since that i know about bitcoin.

at first I heard bitcoin from my friends some years ago, and my friends tell me about bitcoin giveaway in some alt site and then I try to get some BTC from here, So , after that I'm interested in getting more info about bitcoin.

I think it was January of 2015. Just like pocarime32 I have typed in to google something about earning money online. Results directed me to bitcoin article's. Soon after reading I have checked what exactly a faucet is.
That was my start with BTC. Epay.info was the place where my first account and bitcoin address where generated.
I think that week later with first epay payout I have had to create the actual wallet on my hdd.

I heard it last year when my friend told me about it, and he insisted me to join signature campaign and my my first earnings came from signature campaign.

I first heard about it, the turn of January 2013. I had been planning to build a badass rig, but only ended up doing it a year and a half later... And I was watching videos on the gist of how it all worked, what mining was. etc, etc. It did seem very cool to me, but I didn't have hardware capable of mining at the time. Worst part is, I was able to afford it, I just kind of put it off because of school, time constraints, etc.

At that point, I'd have been getting almost 4 BTC/month with the same rig I'd later build (and am currently typing on now). And it's not like I'd have made much in BTC, because that's around the time the difficulty started to skyrocket, even when GPU's were being used. Still, it would have been better than struggling for a handful of BTC like I am now... lol

Guess you just gotta keep moving forward. :P

I cant really remember exactly but i think around the end of 2014. I found it difficult to buy bitcoin because i wanted to use paypal to buy them.  Ended up buying linden dollars and then converting to btc on virizo or whatever that site used to be called.  Took ages to actually be able to withdraw them as well.  I say them i think i bought around 0.1 or something,  can't quite t remember.

Google search engine linked me to bitcoin and I think many people get into bitcoin with the help of google only.

I don't think so, majority of people are into bitcoin only because of their friends, as its really difficult to trust everything that you come across on google, but you can afford to trust your friends.

The first time I heard about Bitcoin was early in 2013. I think the media coverage was still scarce back then and I found out about Bitcoin by reading technical blogs online. As I was kinda skeptical at first it took me some time before I wrapped my head around the technology and learned how to use it and my first purchased coins came around the summer of 2013. Unfortunately I didn't invest a lot back then and missed out on the insane price increase to $1250 in the winter. I wonder how my life would have changed if I had bought more cheap coins.

I heard about it in the late 2013 just before the hype  ;D A friend told me that he bought 100 LTC at 3$ and he will make a huge profit and that was the part which got me interested. At first I was like "dafuq is this shit", but later I started mining some alt coins with my shitty Nvidia - 1 month later the price skyrocketed and I saw the potential that is behind the currency :) The only thing that I regret is, not knowing about Bitcoin back in 2011 or something - my friend knew about it back then, but didn't told me about it and he didn't buy any at that time - such a pity...

I think this question has been asked two time before you in this forum, a lot of people have replied their answers at there, you should have to check on the searh of this forum.

Well, I got into bitcoin at around 2011 when the price was still really really cheap. However, I didn't realise what bitcoin's benefits are and why it could be such a good replacement for fiat currencies.

I bought my first bitcoins at around 2013, when the price peaked...

I heard about it mid last year when i saw my fb friend posting about an investment and need to have a bitcoin wallet because the payins and payouts are through bitcoin. so i began to search what is bitcoin and how does it works. i first bought my bitcoin days after.

I got into bitcoin last january 2016. Because nobody want to teach me how to start bitcoin i did some research and i found this forum and i start to reading some threads about bitcoin especially those tutorial on how to begin in bitcoin industry and i earn my first satoshis from a faucet site that is called claimbtc.

I saw my brother he is earning bitcoin an I asked the websites he told to me. And it was my first time I got my bits

first time i heard about bitcoin was back in 2011, but i did not take it seriously until last year. after reading reviews and speculations on bitcoin price specially on  how it might go way up this mid year, i decided to buy some coins using a chunk of my savings, price was around 200 usd then. And now, thanks to the huge increase in price, lets just say im glad i made that decision ;D

hmm i start bitcoin in year 2015 december and i get my first bitcoin or satoshi in faucet websites that i answered captcha or by entering a captcha so that i can earn free bitcoin or satoshi and i heard that here in bitcointalk you can also earn bitcoins by joining in signature campaign and now im here i want to try my luck here to earn more bitcoin for my future also :)

I've heard about bitcoin from my friend in 2014, at that time my friend tell me about bitcoin giveaway and advice me to try it and then I try this and I get my first bitcoin. and then using search engine I learn about bitcoin and now I have a much experienced about bitcoin.

I heard about bitcoin from facebook and when the price reaches $1,200. then I am interested to get it. my first bits of the faucet. but a few months later I get a giveaway of stellar with a great result, more than 0.5BTC

I heard about Bitcoin at the end of 2014. I only earned my first bits from faucets in the middle of 2015. After that, I bought some Bitcoin and then started using a signature campaign.

I heard this from my friend back in 2012 but im still too young that time so i dont have interest on earning money by myself.I recently get into bitcoin just december last year and untill now.

After I saw it on one of my friends making money on the web thru trades.

Honestly I started to do trades before entering this forum to get some more additional infos on other method. :)

It was dogecoin that introduce me to cryptoworld, first quarter of 2014, I happen to stumble on too many "wow"  pages and picture of dog and a title of DOGE, then some link directed me to a giveaway thread.  I don't know that it was a faucet, then another link to the bitcointalk.org forum.  I stay in altcoin page coz there are alot of giveaway thread that time, i earned my first satoshi trading (selling) my reward from giveaway.

I only start a month ago  ;D ;D hehe yep i just heard the bitcoin over facebook and i got curious about it so i'll try it and now :D  im earning and i just bought a domain :D

Im looking for a job that time and my friend told me about bitcoins so I got interested on it . I made some researches  about it for me not to be dumb on bitcoins . Well interms of my  first bits it came from a faucet site .

The first time I heard about bitcoin from one of my friend he asked me to join a faucet site and said that now it is the time of bitcoin and also told me that I can earn a bigger amount with bitcoin.

Same here. For the first time I saw a faucet site advertising on a PTC site and so when I searched about bitcoin in google and learned to adopt it then I got my first bit from a faucet site.

I saw it on Facebook during 2012. Watched the whole video and was amazed not because of the benefits but actually the graphics.....
And in 2014 I decided to get some bitcoins because I am starting to get worried about my future.

I was introduced to bitcoin last May 2015 by my bf. He encouraged me to sign up to a wallet and earn bonus reward. I saw him earning with bitcoin and he taught me how it works. He was the one who guided me all through out my bitcoin experience, actually up to now he is still teaching and sharing me more about it. We were both hooked into bitcoin  ;D

Accidentally search it on google,and my first bitcoin comes.from diffrent faucet. I spend 1 week in faucets just to have free btc..ive collected 30k satoshi after 1 week,, not enough for my effort

I got in to Bitcoin about 2 years ago a a uncle of a friend of mine was always making use of Bitcoin and he taught us both how to use it and stuff.

I have seen bitcoin in few places like 2-3 years ago but didn't bought any or try to collect some. After few months i tried faucet and got few bitcoins which i stored in blockchain.info wallet, but the amount of my first bitcoin is really low.

i think it was last year that i have heard about bitcoin.
and it took a while to read about bitcoin and understand how it works and if it is good or not.
but now i can't imagine not using bitcoin any more.

i started on bitcoin last 4 or 5 months ago ? i don't remember . and i am working hard just to claim on faucets even i am too bored solving the captchas and after 2 weeks i started to earn my first bitcoin/satoshi . and i am still finding a way to earn more  ;D ;D

I hope you not just solving 1000's of Capthas in a day to acquire a few Satoshi's? There are loads of other more profitable ways to get Bitcoin. I once cleaned out my garage and sold all my second hand

stuff, I rarely used and then used that money to buy some Bitcoin. {This was when the price were $200 - I have since sold those Bitcoin at $600 and tripled my initial investment.} You just have to

think outside the box to profit from Bitcoin.  ;D .... I should have listened to the geek who told me about Bitcoin 7 years ago, and I would have been a millionaire by now.  ;D ;D

I started to work on signature campaign last year and I got my first weekly payment and I was very much happy and satisfied to see my first earning from bitcoin.

My starting history i am looking for a side job online in any forum in my country and i found bitcoin which is bitcoin is money according to a thread and how to earn it he suggest faucet and got bitcoins just claiming and solving captcha.. and now i am here and looking for other source and study bitcoin..

I first got to know about Bitcoins in 2012 after watching a show on National Geographic Channel on TV. I watched it and forgot about it until I researched about it in 2015 and got to use this cryptocurrency. I have also shared the information about bitcoins among my friends and some have started using it.

it was early in the last year when i got into bitcoin but i have already known about bitcoin because i have heard about it from one of my friends but it took me a while to start using bitcoin and realizing what a good thing bitcoin really is.

Majority of us are here only because of friends, I never heard about bitcoin but my friend told me about it and showed me how he was earning from signature campaign.

i was heard about bitcoin on cryptocurrency blog and since that i had use bitcoin till now and i got my first bits when i'm using a faucet and my first experience from faucet is i using freebitco.in to get more satoshis every day

I heard bitcoin in 2013, when it was actually very very busy discussed, perhaps because the price reached $1,000.
but quite sad if I told you when I first got my bits. I play faucet for a few weeks and just getting around 10-30k sat. indeed perhaps when it was very small and a bit because of the high prices.

I already read topic and threads about bitcoin  but i never got interested about it before because my view from cryptocurrency that time is not like what am i viewing cryptocurrencies now.I just used bitcoin last december 2015

Same was the case with me my friend told me about it in 2014 but at that time I was so busy with my job that I couldn't try to know bitcoin but when I got jobless in 2015 then I started to use it  ;D

Probably December 2014, when my friend told me about this cryptocurrency. And after that I started to earn Bitocin with faucet, which is the worst thing I've ever done. :D

I heard it for the first time from facebook when one of my friend share the moonbit link. It was at July 2014. First I collected satoshi from a bunch of faucet sites and then move to gambling sites till now but I never risking my real money at gambling sites.

I was searching for online jobs and how to make money online on youtube and there I found many videos related to bitcoin and then I started to know it better.

First time I heard in news when the reporters were shedding light on this evil creation called bitcoin that allowed drug dealers to accept payments.
I got interested and googled it and since then, there's been no looking back.

It's sad how people ignore the good things about bitcoins, like anything powerful, it depends on the user how he uses it.

I first saw it in a gaming forum. That day i was searching thread because i am gonna sell my Account that day, And i saw this thread wherein He is selling an account also and He write on his payment method that he is accepting paypal,BITCOIN,bank transfer. so i got curious there what is Bitcoin,Then i search the net and end up in faucet, There i got my First Bitcoin.

Heard about it since it was starting out. I didn't get involved for a long time, but kept watching how it is going in tech news sites etc..

Tried to get involved in helping, so I did my part in translations for the main bitcoin.org site. I didn't even have a wallet back then, I kept making new one (trying out the wallets back then) and then losing/forgetting my access to them :P

Until Electrum came by, that was when I made a wallet that I could stick to.

You bought bitcoins when it was priced at $300? That's not too long ago? I don't believe so. That's like over a year ago. That I believe is already long ago, since the price of bitcoin has more than doubled since you bought your first bitcoin. That must have been quite a profit, eh?

I get into bitcoin its in last week in december 2015 I really need money that time and I read about bitcoin in a facebook page about bitcoins,  I read about bitcoin and when I saw its a kind if money then I start earning with faucets, everyone help me in fb page and told me all they know about bitcoin until I searched in the internet about bitcointalk,  until right now I'm still here and make some profit.Btw my very first btc was in that facebook page the admin have some giveaways and I received 40k satoshi from her.

Yeah and I bought when the price was $250 in April 2015 and the current price is $775, so I am in the stage of huge profits and I can afford to sell even at this price.

For me it was also 2015 when I heard about bitcoin. The next step was going to this forum and absorb as much information as possible. When I knew enough I started with altcoins but after a long time i revert back to bitcoin. Bitcoin is the deal...

I got into bitcoin just last 8 months ago because i'm too curious of what is bitcoin because i just encountered that word on a group that discussing about deep web. So, i start watching videos on youtube (because im too lazy to read many articles) and i start earning small amount on faucets (because a lot of people telling me that faucets is a best way to earn bitcoins) but after 1 month i see the result that faucet is not worth it so i just invest my money to buy bitcoin and put it on a cloud mining site so now i have a passive income :).

it was 2k12 when i heard bitcoin for the first time, but i wasn't get in to bitcoin, i started using bitcoin in 2k14, typed chaptha , earned some satoshi from faucet, join with ponzi and other hyip programs but now trading is my steady way, little bit regret i didn't bought bitcoin when the price was cheap,

For me, it was sometime in Fall 2012. I was looking for a new place to play poker because of Poker Black Friday (April 15, 2011). I found seals with clubs poker which accepted US players and had instant deposits/withdrawals, but used something called "bitcoin." At that stage I didn't really care anything about all the great and awesome things about bitcoin, only that it would allow me to play online poker with instant deposits and withdrawals.

I bought my first bitcoins through BitInstant. It was kind of shady, but awesome at the same time. You would go to their website, give them your bitcoin receiving address and tell them how much bitcoin you wanted to buy. At the time btc was around $10 - $14 US. Then you would go to a store with Moneygram, get on the red phone and tell them that you were sending XXX amount of cash to a company called ZipZap, then they would put the info in and then you went to the store's cashier and paid cash and get a confirmation receipt. And by the time you got back in your car you would get a text message from BitInstant saying that your bitcoins were sent to you wallet.

I heard of bitcoin back in 2013 and probably first bought my coins around 2 years later. Wasn't that much, just $10 worth but the deal went through smoothly via localbitcoins. Awesome experience.
