Is he making so much money that it's worth running for? Kind of doubt it... ;D

Second hand knowledge from the chat room was issues with either the server or DNS Register (technical difficulties). Admin's not "doing a runner" IMO.

FWIW: I have no affiliation with the site (save as another end user of course), was lucky enough to get that much info (I still managed to access the site briefly via entering the IP address directly when DNS issues started to occur before they took the site offline).

If that's so...why the SOPA image??

No idea about the story with the SOPA pic (last I heard that wasn't law in the US and died faster than PIPA/ACTA  ??? ), I doubt the admins could do a runner as there really isn't that much to gain as opposed to keeping the site in operation  :-\

because to the hackers it was funny

if it was a REAL sopa type shut down it would be redirected to a .gov site with the image.

(not saying wasnt a runner, but my gut tells me it is a hack)

also i found the IP to get into coinvisitor instead of using coinvisitor.com address.  site still looks functional. definately looks like a hack (redirect sick joke).

IP 184.22.240.76

So, you're visiting a site that may have been hacked and posting the IP so others can go there?
Not sure if visiting that IP is a smart idea :P

to get the Prizes page to pay out correctly it will show(on the lower portion of the screen where the advertisers part of the page usually is:

"This website is temporarily unavailable, please try again later. "
and just be a blank white screen

current url will show:
http://loop.coinvisitor.com/raffle.php?click=123456

just open a new tab

paste in the ip address followed with the  /raffle.php?click123456

you will get just the lower portion of the page with the prize solve that 1-click capitcha, then go back to page with the:

This website is temporarily unavailable , please try again later. message and solve that 1-click capitcha

you will see your bitcoins credit to your total and continual visiting pages like normal.

Remember This is a work around - I am not an expert, so use at your own risk. but from my limited knowledge it seems to be working this way for me and a few friends of mine.

For what I know the guy who posted the IP address could have been the one who hacked it and has some exploit there to try and steal wallets from computers.

No, I don't believe it was him who hacked it, but you can never be too careful with this stuff

Just incase no one sees it heres what the page says

and link http://loop.coinvisitor.com/showsplash.php?id=95

so we now know he either supports anonymous or is part of the group XD

SOPA DEFEATED!!!!

Well after a long hard battle we have alone defeated sopa, gave 2,001 shoes to homeless people (one was missing right leg and could not find one missing left so have one shoe left over), prevented a war with Canada and can again provide the services we once did.

But seriously, we shut down to have a few changes in place for when we broke the half million page views. I did the redirect to sopa because the "sorry down for maint." just isn't coinvisitor style. It got some people talking, let us know how people choose to contact us about issues such as twitter, facebook and email. Even gave insight into people opinions on the site as a whole.

I consider the shutdown an overall success and now we can move on with the new chapter of coinvisitor with some good insight gained.

So to anyone who may have gotten a little freaked out, sorry. But it served it's purpose and now we can move on.

email info at coinvisitor the words we were trolled for bonus with wallet addy, feel free to curse us out for the troll as well if you want in the email.

We did a email campaign to advertisers to get more content, we held off on many of them because afterall we are only about 3 months old and had to prove we can get the traffic. Feeling confident now crossing the half million mark we can kick it up a notch.

You will notice there is more paying pages, we hope to continue this trend. We have added more NSFW content as well and will target them more for those who choose the option to view.

We have added more to the prizes pot to help pick up the faucet earnings some.

We have been working on partnering with some of the more political type sites and you will notice a change in much of the content. This will balance out as other types come on board as well and we had to choose one area besides nsfw that would likely be bitcoin minded and this is our answer.

It also gives us something to talk about in chat along with bitcoin and site stuff so hope you like the changes so far.

More messages and hidden earnings to follow. Also as a final reach to the users if you have ideas and abilities for sites and services we may very well be able to help
you reach your goals as long as you are willing to put the effort into it. We have a great staff of users willing to help with technical side, can offer use of our
services to help get yours off the ground and so much more. We can solve a lot of things as a collective unit with bitcoin and as a community.
