I respect their willingness to fight for our current rights but unfortunately, in the long term, they can't win.
In Europe,  we need real labor and pension reform because people are getting older and the birth rate is decreasing every year.
This means that less and less money for pensions but also it is increasingly difficult to get a job.
In the long term, if nothing changes, a lot of people will lose their jobs or will have very small pensions.
Labor reform protesters don't have answers for this problems.

The French are among the laziest folks in the Western Europe (not all of them, but the vast majority). The leftist unions are very strong, and they have forced many of the industrial units to move out of the country. Also, the laziness of the natives is the reason why they imported millions of immigrants (mainly from the Maghreb) during the 1970s and the 80s, to do various manual jobs.
