Title: Help,Advice, Opinion needed;Multibit;Unconfirmed transaction;Options Post by: PCDZLGR on June 15, 2016, 04:28:25 PM Hello all,
Ever since I upgraded my Multibit HD client to the latest version 0.3 something happened and the client now creates transactions that become stuck/unconfirmed. It appears to relate to a fee issue. The fee appears to be less than recommended. After the first transaction became stuck, I created another very small transaction to see if it also would get stuck, and it did. first transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/709cd9d93b59a235a743e394602d7ea88ac627f0fbd5a3952c35c61407952595 second test transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/f8a3d02c9990e034749bae3f2fd25e3f18e017f0482457bf7d6a169317cde7c8 I've done some research, but since I am not an expert could anyone help with giving advice or an opinion on the following? * Is the fee the issue? * Is this a Multibit HD client error? * Do you reckon this transaction is likely to go through? * Would it actually help if I keep rebroadcasting myself using i.e. https://www.localbitcoinschain.com/tx/send * Since I use Multibit HD, I cannot create a double spend as I have no access to the private key. Or is there another option to double spend if necessary in the future? * Also, I cannot create a child pay for parent type transaction as I cannot increase transaction fees on Multibit HD. - Is it possible to use the HD BIP 32 pass to recreate this wallet in another client? - is there another applicable HD wallet that can increase transaction fees? For now I will have to wait to see if it will get confirmed, but I want to save my 75 dollars! :) Thanks for considering! Title: Re: Help,Advice, Opinion needed;Multibit;Unconfirmed transaction;Options Post by: achow101 on June 15, 2016, 04:56:13 PM It is a fee problem, mostly with MultiBit not using dynamic fees. Go to Preferences > Fees and move the slider towards the "higher" end to increase your fees.
I would recommend using my fee booster: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1506632.0 but unfortunately MultBit doesn't support exporting your private keys nor signing raw transactions within the client so you can't use the program to increase your fees.
