Title: Multibit and Unconfirmed Transaction Hours Later Post by: paulb787 on June 15, 2016, 06:45:34 PM I sent money from my trezor using multibit 6 hours ago and I still don't have a confirmation. 4.879 bitcoins with a .0001 fee. It says it has been seen by 7 peers. Has it propagated?

See BitcoinQueue.com (http://www.bitcoinqueue.com/) or this topic (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1511347) for more discussion on the subject. You may use higher fees for higher priority transactions in the meantime... :-\ Title: Re: Multibit and Unconfirmed Transaction Hours Later Post by: rizzlarolla on June 15, 2016, 06:53:25 PM I sent money from my trezor using multibit 6 hours ago and I still don't have a confirmation. 4.879 bitcoins with a .0001 fee. Not nearly enough in the new dynamic Core fee market world. Expect a very long delay. (already waited 7 hours?) Title: Re: Multibit and Unconfirmed Transaction Hours Later Post by: matt4054 on June 15, 2016, 07:00:27 PM Yes, very bad timing with the "low" fee here (it used to be not that low, a while ago...)
Title: Re: Multibit and Unconfirmed Transaction Hours Later Post by: paulb787 on June 15, 2016, 07:03:33 PM what fee should I set my multibit to? What should I have used?
Title: Re: Multibit and Unconfirmed Transaction Hours Later Post by: matt4054 on June 15, 2016, 07:06:39 PM Currently I would say ~80 satoshi / byte (0.0008BTC / KB) is required for reasonable delay (i.e. next block or the one after)

How do u know before u send. I am learning lol Are you using Multibit Classic or Multibit HD? These 2 are completely different programs actually... Basically you need to know about the inputs (and outputs, but obviously, that, you do) of your tx Title: Re: Multibit and Unconfirmed Transaction Hours Later Post by: rizzlarolla on June 15, 2016, 07:20:08 PM Looks like we've had an hour without blocks... Bad luck. No it doesn't. Paul has been waiting 7 hours already. There have been 4 blocks in the last hour. Title: Re: Multibit and Unconfirmed Transaction Hours Later Post by: gtglener on June 15, 2016, 07:22:20 PM I also have a transaction of about 0.1+ BTC and I am not seeing any confirmation till now, the bitcoin blockchain is much more overloaded, I think in the coming Friday we are seeing another big boost.
Title: Re: Multibit and Unconfirmed Transaction Hours Later Post by: rizzlarolla on June 15, 2016, 07:27:06 PM what fee should I set my multibit to? What should I have used? Recommended fee keeps changing. (though the trend is spiking upward) So what you should have used, and what you should use next time are likely different. https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ may give you a better understanding. (and matts chart now/soon!)
