However, a lot of people seem to lose track of the bigger picture. What is happening to The DAO affects everybody in the cryptocurrency community. There is a lot of disappointment, anger, and frustration during these difficult times. But at the same time, there are valuable lessons to be learned from this setback.

People can't seem to see the wider effect of this on the entire industry.
So now crypto is known for Drugs (silk road), and scamhacking (MtGox/DAO hack). Don't bother telling me that the hacker got those funds legitimately and it's not a hack/scam, tell it to the man down the street who you want to start using those coins you're holding. As happened after MtGox and the loss of millions of Bitcoins. ETH will have its ups and downs just like BTC has but the negative effect on the crypto scene will be felt by all, even Speotniktard.
