Title: I am new in Bitcoin, how to provide services?
Post by: Nouveauenbitcoin on June 18, 2016, 02:17:00 PM
I just signed up on Bitcointalk I read some articles about Bitcoin.
But I do not yet understand some things, I create a wallet in xapo and I have a Bitcoin address, but I do not understand how transactions go, it is instantaneous?
So if I understand correctly, there are no transaction limits? I can send 1satoshi if I want?
I would like to know if there are some ways to earn Bitcoins by doing some tasks, that's why I post in this section.

A very good way to earn some btc if you are a newcomer is to build your account so you will get a higher rank and join one of the signature campaigns you will find in this section.

You cannot send a satoshi. It would be considered a dust transaction.  I believe the transaction lower limit is 5460 satoshi. (I think that is 5430 + 30 tx fee)  It might take a long time to confirm though.
Smaller transactions might be possible using St. Eligius and it's network of nodes.

First of all if you are totally new to bitcoin then join faucetbox at there start to earn some satoshi at faucets and test different transactions, and when your rank is increased at here then join some signature campaigns also, slowly and gradually you will learn all about it.

The minimum amount is currently 55 bits (or 0.000055 Bitcoins).  This amount is defined by the bitcoin protocol, not Xapo. While this is the minimum, transactions less than 0.01 bitcoin can take much longer to confirm, as there isn't as much incentive for miners to confirm these transactions.

https://support.xapo.com/what-is-the-minimum-bitcoins-i-can-send-from-xapo/view=faq
-----------------

The same applies to all wallets as the miner's fee also matters while sending transactions.

If you want to provide services at the first you must consider some promotions. For example offer some services and take the payment after doing services so I do like this.

Probably the wrong section for this.

You can...technically send 1 satoshi if you want. Some nodes will accept it, but if you want all nodes to accept it you should be sending at least 546 satoshis. Keep in mind that a fee is also usually required, if not highly recommended, and so sending small amounts is uneconomical.

If you're providing a service of real value, you should really be looking for more than 1 satoshi anyway. ;)

Yes the best way, is to just start with a service you can provide. Built up trust and a name. You will see the more business you do, the better you get at it.
So you can sell more and more diverse services.

Good luck.

It's possible but the network wouldn't recognize such transactions and give it the last priority. The fee would have to be more than the value of the transaction and I believe we can send 55-60 satoshis minimum. It depends on the value too as if 55 satoshis are valued above $0.01 in the future, this restriction would be removed.

On Xapo, you cannot send 1 satoshi. thats just useless. The minimum amount which you can send without transaction fee is 0.000055 BTC. Since you are new to bitcoins i would recommend you to also download a Desktop wallet and get familiar with that also.

This site is good. I already tried it. But I think it will be hard for a newbie to get a job here.
Because the employers will of course select the lowest bidder with a high reputation.
However, if you have such really good portfolio, you will have a good chance to be trusted even if you are a newbie.

If I remember correct, when bitcoin was ~$250, XAPO had minimum limit of 0.001BTC to send from them. But now able to transact less than 0.001BTC but not tried lesser than 0.00001BTC.

I would like to know if there are some ways to earn Bitcoins by doing some tasks, that's why I post in this section.
In this forum service section you can find more tasks, just complete those tasks and got paid in bitcoin. keep your eyes on post, do not post spam, improve your rank and join signature campaigns you will earn more bitcoins by posting.

1. Earn people's trust
2. Offer services here. Just make a new thread. You can start earning then.

You should read all(if you want to be an expert in Bitcoin :P) the articles on Bitcoin Wiki (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page), and use the search function(and Google search) as well. Practically, any of your inquiries might already have been answered a myriad times.
Additionally, if you want complete information on how Bitcoin transactions work, then you ought to read the Transaction (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction) article.

So if I understand correctly, there are no transaction limits? I can send 1satoshi if I want?
Technically, yes. There are no limits, but, AFAIK, any amount under 5460 satoshis would be recognized as a "dust" transaction.

I would like to know if there are some ways to earn Bitcoins by doing some tasks, that's why I post in this section.
There are various of ways on how one can earn Bitcoin, starting from providing services in the field that you are expert in, to anything else that you can ever imagine.

You can just check the "Services" board here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0)
Just make a post of the service you are willing to provide, and you are good to go.

I don't think there's any use to send another user less than $0.01 and no wallet/payment processor that allows less than 1 cent but still Xapo has a limit of 55 satoshis and I don't think if you send such a small transaction, it would be confirmed soon. Miners don't even earn profit from such transactions.

Faucets are OK at the beginning but after some time, you'll reliaze that they're actually waste of time.
I guess the best option is getting experienced in the forum and applying for a signature campign.

this information maybe answer you questions https://bitcoin.org/en/how-it-works (https://bitcoin.org/en/how-it-works) , yeah bitcoin transactions is instant

So if I understand correctly, there are no transaction limits? I can send 1satoshi if I want?
Yeah you can send bitcoin without limits. For send 1 sats i never try this, but in my opinion wallet services have a limit to send bitcoin, which will usually be more than 1 sats.

You can go to this section maybe https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=212.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=212.0)

Faucets are low paying and faucetbox sends bits when you accumulate over 0.0001-0.00015 BTC (if I am not wrong) and with faucets you can earn 100-200 satoshis at a time which is a torture for newbies too.

@OP: You can try bitfortip or get-paid.com to start earning bitcoins. You can get paid anywhere from 0.0002-0.0005 on bitfortip and $0.05-0.5 on get-paid.

You can not send 1 satoshi or below minimum fee. it will turn into dust.. better to send bitcoin in high amount i think 50k sat is enough to transfer in other wallet..
If you want to earn many task that you can find in services section and also altcoin section..
