Title: Qt 0.8 via Tor / Vidalia
Post by: 2weiX on March 11, 2013, 12:49:21 PM
I'm dumb.
Also, my google-fu seems to direct me to sites that do not make it clear to me what I need to do.

This leads me to the conclusion that I might have the wrong idea of how this should work.

Without making a complete ass out of myself by posting what I have tried so far - ELI5, please?

haha youve already done that but i have nothing to do so im going to make it nice and easy

step 1 start tor (might be the hardest step of all
2. leave tor running
3.open bitcoin qt (also a complex step)
4 go to setting
5. go to options
6. go to network
7. click the "connect through SOCKS proxy" setting
8. settings should still be deafault Proxy ip 127.0.0.1 port 9050 SOCKS version 5
9. click apply
10. ok
11. close and restart bitcoin client and BOOM everythings done
