It's incredible how far the leftist community has gone in America. Furthermore she is illiterate in war making. Yes you can win ground or territory with air strikes. The biggest example is the surrender of Japan during ww2. What she deeply lack is understanding that once those dwelling on a territory are dead, the occuptation of the ground is useless on military perspectives. Killing from the air is very efficient and cost effective while keeping great flexibility and geographical reach specially against people unable to stop air dominance.

But what she fails to understand is winning in war isn't a fix set of criteria.

There are objectives and when the objectives are attained there is victory.

Calling dropping a nuke an air strike is a stretch... Ya the middle east wouldn't exist if we nuked it.. I don't think a single person is debating this.  This is Islams war against the world.. ISIS really is only a small part of it..

No I just said that the impossibility of conquering the ground only by air strike is entirely false... Without resorting to nuke, 100% conventional without going full extermination. Just target every leader that rise until no one want to leave his home from fear of being night dusted and once an acceptable leader arise don't execute him. As such the ground is conquered by the local themselves! Of course it's way more easier if the surviving guy can follow a policy acceptable for the people in his country... If not divide the land in small manageable units until cultural common policy can be enforced. The return to peace in fractured society.
