I think that's more a hypothetical question most have accounts on all exchanges so really the exact number is not known.
Some use all exchanges cuz they figure out now to make extra profit transferring from one exchange to another
But i don't have on all this exchanges account

Poloniex shows the number of accounts logged in at the bottom.

As at the time of writing they are showing 6176 users currently online and 24 hour volume of 50,000 BTC.

They used to show total number of users registered with them, but no longer do so, but from memory it was something like 30,000.

So it is a small amount of speculators who are doing the bulk of the trading.

Not really aware of such things as even if for example 1000 have registered on an exchange but probably only 600 would be an actives. So ideally if  more the active better it is rather than the number of users registered on any exchange.

I think we cant count because there are many accounts there that has a multiple account too so it is not accurate if you count them all.
And i think many will not waste their time in calculating the people in trading in many site because theres nothing happen,

Not a lot of professional traders trade on altcoins. Its because these coins don't have a very high volume to follow trends and they are very susceptible to manipulation and pump&dump. So its not the best place to trade on for any trader.

It's hard to tell. And even if you would ask them for it, they would probably say they can't disclose it. But that's not really a big deal, you can see the volume on various coins here:

At least now you know where the big boys are.

well. this is not easy to tell how many traders using these sites. but I am sure there aren't so much traders on these services, because so low users interfere in altcoin trading.
there are some SEO and site Stat checkers tools available on the web. you may get help from them to know how many users registered on these sites.

very difficult to find who is active traders on every exchange even though total login in a day can reach thousands of users but doesn't mean they all will do trading activity also i guess those exchange will never give you valid data regarding it but only market volume statistics

Even if you ask for those exchnagers and they agree to give info they can only give total number of accounts not only the active traders so finding total number of active traders is just not possible and i think this info is not quite needed. ;)

thank you for the input, but i was asking how many active traders do you think that usually are live on the big exchanges.

ofcourse its just pure speculation . you dont have to be right . just brainstorming here.

Ok then. my answer is 1 million.. I don't understand what is your point to ask such question even you know that this is something no one can answer correctly?
what you exactly want to know. for example if there are 1 million traders, then what would you do?

there's no exact answer the amount is uncertain because people can make alt and every trader have account on different exchanger but to see whether an exchanger crowded or not by simply see the volume were traded, sometimes i just trading on only crowded exchanger cuz its run fast

Even if you have the total number of users registered on the exchanges, you would still not know how many of them are active traders, or simply people who signed on to do single trades or just to sell bitcoins acquired from somewhere else. These exchanges have to give us a general idea on how many active users they have on their system, to get a clearer picture. ^smile^

It is definitely not that high. I would say no more than 10,000. It is the same people trading on multiple exchanges, they spread the money out to reduce exchange risk (the exchange going the way of mt gox) and also to do arbitrage.

Bitcoin and altcoin trading is very much a niche thing.

ye its usual to bitcoin users to trade as they see prices vary from different exchanges. it maybe risky to do arbitrage but braves ones do it.

On all exchanges at any one time? If you add bots, which makes up a massive amount of volume and has gotta be the most, I'd say worldwide no more than 2-3000, maybe less unless there's some dramatic action.
