Title: Bitcoin emergency alert system? Post by: redbeans2012 on March 12, 2013, 06:09:38 AM This emergency looks like its about to pass in about 2 or 3 blocks. Has anyone thought of making an app that will give a push notification only when an emergency such as this arises again? Might come in handy when the bitcoin network grows really big and things can be tackled even faster. Text messaging could work too but that costs money and alot of prepaid phones don't support short codes to Opt in.

It just sends the message that you see on your clients, atleast with the original client it does, dosnt show up on electrum maybe these other clients should think about implementing it.
