There are multiple types of PNY USBs. It looks like basic first class shipping will only be about $4, but I will have to take them out of the packaging and just use a bubble mailer if that's okay. I'm fine with having the thing opened, as long as it's not damaged when I receive it. I've never used core before, let alone a pruned version. A wild guess, downloading core and then setting it to download blocks less than x days old. I'm not really sure... The wonders of cheap internet nowadays...
