What I do not understand is how Fibo shares the revenue with the artist if the users are allowed to upload any music file they have on their computers?

Just a suggestion, you might want to open source the client, the community is wary of installs that involve both encryption and money.  Also, look into StorJ, they might be a good partner for you.

Any uploaded song will go through approval process, that involves:

- Extract file metadata
- Checking authenticity
- Categorize song by artist, track name, quality
- Request approval and pricing from labels

After the label sets its pricing the song will be ready for stream through Fibo.

Just a tip, but it might be a good idea to first contact artists who release their songs under a permissive Creative Commons license.
I'm guessing they would be much more open to the idea then already established artists.

We're closing a Pay-per-stream deal with labels. Creative Commons won't happen.
The closed beta will include 5 million songs through third-party services plus the licensed songs for Fibo.

Cool will keep an eye on this new project. Only wonder how artist will react on this kind of new distribution of there work. Can be really hard to get some licenses to publish work with copyright on it.

We've been receiving really good feedback from labels.

Fibo offers 50% cut and the pricing control.

Is the "add a folder", "add songs" functions working ? When i select my tracks to upload nothing happens afterwards.

It says on the site that uploading starts on August 1st.

"Add songs" and "Spotify import" will be available in August.

The accounts balance was just a visual bug.

Where can I download the software?
Also when I log in and go to Mining, Flix or Music I just get redirected to https://www.fibo.io/#openModal
which is the frontpage and It logs me out aswell.

This error have been already fixed, please try again.
Fibo Music can be used through https://www.fibo.io/music in both Mobile and Desktop.

Thanks, that issue seems to be fixed now.
However another even bigger issue has come to light.
The deposit address to deposit bitcoins isnt a valid BTC address so its impossible to deposit any BTC to the account.
And I still havent managed to find where to download the mining software.
