Title: Questions about Bitfinex
Post by: OmegaStarScream on June 22, 2016, 08:15:43 AM
I want to know some information's about them since I never used them before (or any other exchange :o )

1. Payment methods accepted to deposit?
2. When it's required to give them your ID ?
3. Is withdrawal and deposit instant or it may take up to 24-48 hours?

I'm a trader on bitfinex for a long time so I can tell you that like every other online service (regarding btc) they have their ups and downs. In general, it is a reliable exchange and trading engine, with no major problems so far. They have some times when the site is down but, in general, this is anounced in advanced. For most of times, the withdrawal are instant (I mean a few minutes), but they had a time when withdrawals took several hours. They guarantee a 12 hours widrawal (it had never happend to me that a widrawal take more that a few minutes) but this when they need to manually verify your widrawal (if it is a very large sum of money).

The link for the site is https://www.bitfinex.com/. If your friend consider I was helpfull he can use my referal address for registration, witch is: https://www.bitfinex.com/?refcode=5l4wLVc4LW. By using my referal address he gains 10% off of all comisions for one month and I gain 10% of all the comisions he pais to the site.

Disclaimer: I don't work or have any afiliation with bitfinex, beside beeing a trader. If I had broken any rulles by providing my referal link, I ask the mods to remove it.

Regarding, your second question, I really can't remember when I was asked for my ID (or any other documents), because I register way back in 2013... I think much had changed from then. Sorry I can't help you with this.
