Haven't really checked the code, but it was supposed to be a clone in the beginning. It was ahead of it's time tech wise and had a horrible horrible distribution. This upcoming snapshot drop allows it give more people at a fair amount. With 21 major holders and the ICO cut short, I wasn't a fan of that part of it.
