Both of those documentaries were very good and I see one of them were posted on http://www.aljazeera.com/news/ a while ago. The crowd funding for these type of documentaries can help a lot for

the spread and adoption for Bitcoin. Anyone know if there are any new ones in the works? I would gladly contribute again, if it is of the same quality of those two. Someone should do a follow up on

those two movies, because most of that information is outdated already.  ::)

I haven't seen them. Where can I find the full movie- are they free? They seems more like documentary films to me.

There r also plenty of stories that could be stories for movies in the first place, like MtGox, the DAO and so on, haha

I've only seen Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It and I have to say it's an awesome documentary they should make more of them to show how good Bitcoin is . The movie also won three awards : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4654844/awards?ref_=tt_awd

There is no bitcoin movies available at thus point of time. Bitcoin is a currency , i wonder how a movie can be made on it ?
Yeah there are few documentaries available only which OP has mentioned above. these are good if you want to have some more knowledge about the bitcoin and its history.

to be honest when i saw bitcoin + movie + IMDB the first thing that came to my mind was Dope (2015) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3850214/) it is a nice movie but has a rather negative image about bitcoin.

although i prefer your list of two especially the first one Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It.

Never watched any movies about bitcoin here.  Read few books halfway but they quickly get boring because there's no facts written that I can't find using google.  Shouldn't have expected more than that, really.

I was just bored for a few days, might check them out later what is going on. I would like to see what these movies are but unfortunately most are documentaries , which i`m not interested since i already know bitcoin.

Most of the bitcoin-related shows I see are mostly, if not all, a type of documentary. I wonder if it applies here.

I was excited when I saw this thread I was like "Finally! A movie about bitcoin" and I thought it was an action movie or a drama or something but I was a little downed when I saw that they were documentaries. I don't really see documentaries as movies because, well, they are documentaries.

I didn't have opportunity to see this list before. Its awesome on first look, when I come home I will check it out better.
Movies are good promotion for btc, I hope we can see more things like this one in the future. Congratulations to people who made all this, I believe it wasn't easy and I don't think they had some profit from this.

why aren't these movies more popular at least in bitcoin community?

Thanks for sharing the The End of Money Movie link. Its a real great documentary which really  shows the path of the new Digital world with a Digital Currency.  Such movies can be used to permote the bitcoins.

I guess most people have not seen the movie yet. Maybe the producer can advertise more and allow online watch at the price (in bitcoin of course!). However, I think it will be great to have it free for everyone- many more people will get to know about bitcoin and understand it better!

Ive not seen any of these movies but im sure ive seen films giving a nod to bitcoin.  Cant think of any of the top of my head though.  I'm sure others will know what I'm talking about though.

Seen "the Throwaways" months ago. its not really about bitcoin but they just mentioned bitcoin for the payment transaction they were dealing.
One that I may wanna download is the movie "DOPE".

I have not actually seen these movies.
According to many replies, these are rather documentaries than movies but I'd still like to give it a try.
Maybe I'll learn something that I haven't learned about bitcoin. It was only published last year so maybe there are things that I have missed on about bitcoin
