Title: Hosting providers for running bitcoind ? Post by: OmegaStarScream on June 24, 2016, 04:25:24 PM so I'm planning to make an application the bitcoin community and I guess that running bitcoind is better then using Blockchain API or something so I want to know where I could host this ? thanks ! (state the price if possible).

Post by: mobnepal on June 25, 2016, 05:57:33 PM I am currently using one linux vps for other proposes so don't know how to run bitcoind in it or haven't tried running it. But i think it is enough for running as it has 100gb storage, 1tb bandwith and 100mbps speed. I have got that for 5$ per month comparatively cheaper vps.

I jumped straight to the advanced one since as I said I need to host bitcoind and to do that I will need to download the blockchain which means +65GB Storage is needed . I am currently using one linux vps for other proposes so don't know how to run bitcoind in it or haven't tried running it. But i think it is enough for running as it has 100gb storage, 1tb bandwith and 100mbps speed. I have got that for 5$ per month comparatively cheaper vps. Do you mind linking me to the host ? thanks !
