Title: Account banned for no reason
Post by: ConnAlt_doubles on June 24, 2016, 11:18:46 PM
Hi,

I've started to find time to post again on bitcointalk and then noticed my account got banned for no reason at all:
Username: ConnAlt
Direct Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=653607

No, there no signature campaign, nor an avatar (SPAMMING). There is no market or trading activity (SCAMMING).

This happened with my previous account too. And I am fed up. What gives mods the right just to ban accounts.
Their job is to eliminate the treat of spammers, scammer and idiots.

But to me it seems some of the mods here are idiots them self, feeling proud to be a moderator and thus ban at will.

- I would like to know which mod is this arrogant fool who banned me.
- Elaborate in the fact as to why I was banned.

I've come here a few times a week and I see so many scammers getting away, because they.
Then there are obviously moderators whom found them self a side job posting in a signature campaign because when I reported these spammers it was just ignored. Here is just a few of then,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=680861;sa=showPosts
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=89091;sa=showPosts
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=56796;sa=showPosts
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=154783;sa=showPosts
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=546076;sa=showPosts

Has it come to this that moderators on bitcointalk.org, the largest bitcoin portal and thus the main entry for people who want to learn about bitcoin, are untouchable (Wow that's perfect marketing).
They can run their own signature account ponzi or get paid to ignore it by them who run it, because the mods next to the payment they are already getting, can ban users when they have a bad day.

Just be clear to me. If a user can't check this forum without doing anything wrong, I find another hobby and I will advice anyone to just skip bitcoin or bitcointalk. The community is not a community with so many scam artist, the people with a rank on forum, abuse their power. Nobody should be encouraged to join such evil.

Update:
This happened with my previous account too. And I am fed up. What gives mods the right just to ban accounts.
Their job is to eliminate the treat of spammers, scammer and idiots.
So you're saying you already got banned with one account and can't even think why this account got banned aswell?
Maybe there's a little bit of ban evasion involved, don't you think?
If one of your accounts gets a ban, it's not the account, but rather the person operating the account that is banned from posting on the forum.
All other accounts that person owns (hence also your account being banned right now) are in result banned from posting aswell.

P.S.: No, it's not the Mods job to eliminate scammers, as scams aren't moderated by the forum right now.
We've got the (more or less working) trust system to do that job.

I got banned a few years ago. Then left bitcoin and bitcointalk, the reason of the ban was exactly the same one as this one so unfair.

Don't you think a ban evasion is implemented on the ground rules the given ban should meet certain standards. For starters being based on something?
Secondly a temporary ban is not a permanent ban. Which means I can still post here right. If I forget my credentials or choose to use another username is a choice i made.

Now back to to topic at hand. The topic itself is directed to a moderator or the moderator team.

Now, your poor soul, you will find your time better spent looking for work: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1363152.0
Or chose another topic to kiss the ass of the mods, here you go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0

Especially with your signature, it seems like you are not contributing at all, I can this, since I've opened this topic.
Now please go, there is no need for you to reply here-
- Signature spamming is not appreciated
- Ass kissing to the mods (dude did you even read my topic???) is not appreciated

What gives mods the right just to ban accounts.

Not what, but who - Theymos gives the mods the right to ban accounts.

Theymos has the right due to the fact this is a private forum.

I've been banned pleny of times, for plenty of good reasons. It builds character.

The mods will not ban you if you don't make something wrong on this forum, i think you have made over posting in one day and they become spamming. But Let's wait answers from mods.

Is there any sort of reason in your ban message? Would you mind posting it here?

No, there no signature campaign, nor an avatar (SPAMMING).
Someone without a signature can still be a spammer, just like someone with one can not. Not to accuse you.

This happened with my previous account too. And I am fed up. What gives mods the right just to ban accounts.
That right is given to them when they are chosen to be a moderator. If you're found to do something ban worthy, then they have a full right to ban you.

Their job is to eliminate the treat of spammers, scammer and idiots.
The staff doesn't moderate scams, and AFAIK they don't moderate "idiots" as it's subjective.
Actually, maybe they do. You may have solved your own mystery there.

I got banned a few years ago. Then left bitcoin and bitcointalk, the reason of the ban was exactly the same one as this one so unfair.
That reason being? You must be doing something wrong; you wouldn't be banned for nothing once, let alone several times.

Now back to to topic at hand. The topic itself is directed to a moderator or the moderator team.
And the moderator team is busy, so normal users try to answer your questions to speed up the process for everyone.

Now, your poor soul, you will find your time better spent looking for work: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1363152.0
Trying to penalize a user for adding to the bitcoin economy because they didn't say what you want them to, how mature.

- Ass kissing to the mods (dude did you even read my topic???) is not appreciated
You complained about being banned for no reason, Lutpin provides a possible reason, you complain that he didn't read the thread. Are you slow, or just ignorant?

If you do feel you are not heard or not understood. I am sorry, I am not in the mood to help you find yourself. Try this: http://lifehacker.com/5781093/top-10-solutions-to-real-lifes-most-annoying-problems.
For now it's best If I ignore you.
I honestly hope that you don't get unbanned. People like yourself who do nothing but act like angsty kids are a cancer to any online community.
Perhaps you should try to take some of your own advice. Help yourself, learn to become less of a stuck up cunt, then come back and people might want to keep you in their communities.

The topic itself is directed to a moderator or the moderator team.
It's a public topic on a discussion forum. If you want to contact the admins/moderators in private, use PMs.
If you opt to post an open topic, expect users to comment.

Now, your(ftfy) poor soul, you will find your time better spent looking for work: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1363152.0
If that's the best attack you could find on me, you failed big time :D
Anyhow, I'm petty good set up with the two campaigns I currently manage, and the two offers I currently am discussing.
If you however want to hire me, just shoot me a quick PM, I appreciate all interest ;)
BTW due to my long time working as campaign manager, I know a thing or two about spammy accounts, so you might even have given my qualification to comment on the topic.

Or chose another topic to kiss the ass of the mods, here you go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0
Beginners&Help, now I like helping people (as you most obviously should know by now), but most topics over there aren't really that good.
I choose to visit other boards, might take another suggestion?!

Especially with your signature, it seems like you are not contributing at all, I can this, since I've opened this topic.
So all users that have a signature, regardless of being paid or not, are "not contributing at all"? Sure thing.

Now please go, there is no need for you to reply here-
- Signature spamming is not appreciated
- Ass kissing to the mods (dude did you even read my topic???) is not appreciated
I don't care whether or not you "appreciate" what I am writing, it's my opinion and you don't get to forbid me to speak.

If you do feel you are not heard or not understood. I am sorry, I am not in the mood to help you find yourself. For now it's best If I ignore you.
Dem burnz, awful!

First, again not of these replies were ONtopic, but...

Again,

Only a moderator can explain the real the real reason.
For the sake of sake I give a few freebies:

What gives mods the right just to ban accounts.

Not what, but who - Theymos gives the mods the right to ban accounts.

Theymos has the right due to the fact this is a private forum.

If it's a private forum it should show a very very minor notice on the registration form.
Did you see it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=register

Another bum kisser.

This alone is worth a ban alone. Just a few replies in the topic with a mind and clear OP. Yet this guy...

You are the exact reason why people should be banned:

Sharma explained the rules with a reference. Then you shit post again?
Yes a legendary killing it.

I'll take it if you don't mind.

Expect to get paid for this: http://imgur.com/jOdKgrv

Go fuc* off you use a campaign to get paid in this thread and get paid more for BS post. You didnt even bother to read the topic.
Accounts like this (with BS posts) are sold, because people got wiser and know they posted BS back in the da

No need to reply mr. legendary, if you can read the whole post is not meant for you. Yet you replied to get payment...

Uhuh ;)

Thanks for the sake of the sake.

Tell you what, I'll even reply from another account without a signature. Aren't I good to you?

Sharma explained the rules with a reference. Then you shit post again?
You see, if you had read the thread, you would see that the OP asked why referral links were banned. All Sharma did was say that they were and link to the rules. The OP already knew this, so that post was completely useless to the topic. What I did was tell him why referral links were banned, like he asked.

Let's see, not reading threads or replies properly before posting. Sounds like you're the pot calling the kettle black here. ;)

Yes a legendary killing it.
I'll take it if you don't mind.
Expect to get paid for this: http://imgur.com/jOdKgrv
Let's go into these posts a bit more. The first posts that you showed (the quoted post, and the first two in the image) were both me claiming something someone was offering, and auction bids. There is no possible way to make these posts constructive, and I'm not going to change my posting habits simply because I have a signature campaign.
The last post in the Auction section of the forum. If you had been around this forum long enough (shit-posting about the price and USD in the Economics section doesn't count, which seems to be all you did) you would know that I could not edit my original post to include that, as no posts in the Auctions section can be deleted or edited by anyone other than staff members. It was impossible for me to send that message in any other way than by posting again, else I would have done so.

Secondly, I like that you're pointing out all of the short posts I do to try and paint me in a bad light, whilst completely ignoring posts like this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1211353.msg15335975#msg15335975) or this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=934536.0) or the majority of my other posts which are on-topic and constructive (at least more-so than your own).

And finally, on this topic, I have a campaign manager who looks over all of my posts at the end of the month. Any posts like the ones that you have quoted, are not paid. So basically, every single one of your arguments are invalid, try again.

Go fuc* off you use a campaign to get paid in this thread and get paid more for BS post. You didnt even bother to read the topic.
Apart from, the first half of my post was giving possible solutions to your problem. Of course, you don't read posts properly however, so you would have missed that.

Accounts like this (with BS posts) are sold, because people got wiser and know they posted BS back in the da
I hope you're not suggesting my account has ever changed hands, as it hasn't. My name has been attached to me for almost 6 years at this point, I would not sell that for any amount of money (especially not $60-$100).
