You don't have to have a backup pool, but I'd definitely recommend it, in the event your main pool goes down. Use kano.is as your pool. It pays better. Instructions are on their homepage. I just started today. thank you so much No you don't. You only need your laptop to change settings, etc. Other than that the s7 will completely run itself.
