I do not see what differentiates other currencies with Bitcoin me, even that one can lose money due to price changes.
Since most businesses that accept Bitcoin give a higher price, saying that most people do not see the exchange rate before buying.
I know that the advantage of Bitcoin is that everyone can use it, it has quite fast transactions, and often very low cost.
So, I want to know why Bitcoin is better than other currencies?

Like you have said, it's much faster, cheaper and available for everyone(not for some countries). I also like it because if you are i a poor country you can use Bitcoin instead of PayPal and similar stuff. And it is easy to earn, you can earn money just here, in this forum.
Probably the only downside is that not much shops accept Bitcoin. But that will maybe change in the future.

Yes, and paypal accounts can be blocked, and require a credit card to verify them.

I think Russia doesn't approve Bitcoin as a legal currency. South Korea doesn't approve internet at all so there are 2 countries (maybe more that I don't know of). And I don't think that VPN is going to cut it.
Yes, but there are more internet shops that accept PayPal and other.

It is not south korea that blocks internet, it is north korea, and they also block the television channels of other countries in their territory apparently, they only allow those of the government.
Yes, nowadays almost all online stores accept PayPal as payment method.

there are many reasons to use bitcoin and some of them are important to me:
1) it is easy to use
2) it has very low amount of fees
3) most important: i can do it myself, i don't have to open up an account with a payment processor like paypal and give them all my personal information.

Not often but most of the time the transaction fees are low comparing with banks, unless you make a big mistake by putting lots of bitcoin in transaction fees as we have seen in the past, using bitcoin is better because it is easy to use and people who accept bitcoin not always accept also another currency.

Bitcoin is the first digital currency which can be used to get the advantage of incredible, you know that the price increase and decrease of bitcoin are uncertain, and it is also a system that offered much better than other currency (low-cost, fast, transparent transactions, secure, etc.). I think there are many sites that offers good discount if you purchase with bitcoins which can benefit us and also save our money, its not possible with other currencies.

Good point, too. I like that I can buy digital goods like Steam games on discount with Bitcoin.

It's not really the best, it's just the gold standard in Crypto Currency so everybody uses it.
BitCoin is slow (Compared to those currencies with like 10 second blocks).

But because everybody develops for it, and it's the most widely used, it's so far the best.

Bitcoin is better because anybody can  start accepting Bitcoin from anybody around the world, no regulations needed. No other currency allows this, if you want accept dollars you need eigher paypal or dollar bank account, and in many places around the globe your out of your luck.

About price volitality - you see one if you doing currency exchanges, be it EUR to USD or USD to Bitcoin. Because most merchants convert Bitcoin to USD immediatelly, you really see huge price volitality. But the point is just use one currency worldwide to dont have such conversion rates, and Bitcoin is the most likely candinate for future, especially because it is not tied to one government which  EUR, USD and other currencies are - thus EUR, USD or other currencies can hardly to be used worldwide in trustless manner by everybody.

as you mentionde above,fast transaction and secure transaction become a major benefit for using bitcoin than other currency,its will more appear if we use bitcoin as online payment,more fast and reliable,please dont mention about confirmation transaction,its different,and i think not yet resolved.

because if you buy a bitcoin, it would be very easy to make a profit from it. even if you're just storing your bitcoin in a long time, you can sell when prices rise and benefit

I still don't prefer to buy anything with bitcoin as I am saving my coins for the future and will spend when its worth is more, and at a moment credit card is the best to buy anything either online or offline.

my personal experience is that in present time bitcoin is the most stable currency than any othe crypto currency. its rate is high than any other currency and in present time most of the people are investing their investment here in bitcoin . so we can say that in present time it is better to buy things in bitcions rathertan any other currency. i think the second reason is that it is a universal currency mean that you can do trading easily in all over the world without changing your currency in a local currency.

Bitcoin has lots of more advantage than being fast. It is decentralized so getting ban for holding huge amount of money is not a problem, as well as no charge backs problem, no any trace back from transactions, proper security and easy to use api with bitpay if you don't like price volatility.

Unfortunately ive given up on the whole bitcoin as a currency thing ever since this blocksize debate, i know we have segwith on the way or implemented in the next update but ive accepted that bitcoin isnt going to be a currency to buy things with. What it is good at is being a store of value much like gold but better. And as a store of value i would expect the price to rise with demand as a good investment.

It is indeed a very very bad idea to buy things using bitcoin instead of other currency.

It is never a good idea to spend bitcoin to buy your daily groceries or mobile recharge. Bitcoin should be considered as an alternate investment option.

If you are using bitcoin to buy daily groceries, then you are loosing a big opportunity to become rich.

It depends on your technical definition of what is better because of what reasons, but Bitcoin is better for producers because of the seller security due to the lack of charge-back capabilities, however, it does take a somewhat long time to confirm the blocks and get the transactions to start being confirmed so that they won't be tampered with.

It all comes down to pros and cons that have been listed multiple times before.

my bitcoins cant get frozen, my bank account can be get frozen or limited by goverments and/or banks.

I can agree with this, it is probably a better idea to wait with your Bitcoin for a relatively long period of time and then make your fiat money off of it first, and then once it gets accepted and a lot of people start using it and the value eventually starts to stabilize, then it might be acceptable to spend your Bitcoin on more normal things. I, for one, would certainly be avoiding most of the expenses I can with my Bitcoin.

not all businesses that accept bitcoin provides higher prices there are even some online stores that deliver cheaper prices. I think bitcoin better than any other currency because its value is fluctuating.

i dont think you can compare bitcoin with other currencies, bitcoin has its own system, yes bitcoin is cheap when you buy
things with it but it is not available for everyone and it still not that popular yet to be use and accepted in most store. as
for now those that you mention are one of the advantages of btc but if you compare it to other currencies you will see a lot
of disadvantages of bitcoin.

Agreed, and no doubt bitcoin is the best digital currency at a moment but its not that popular, as very few sites accepts it as a mode of payment, but I don't prefer to use bitcoin for online shopping as shipping costs are too high for me.

It is because majority of the online advertisement they know that Bitcoins is a well known digital currency.
And most of the time they accept it as mode of payment to there business. :D

I think you are giving up too soon on the promise of bitcoin as a currency. It might have its flaws here and there but we must still make it a point to contribute in bitcoin's function as currency. I agree with you that it can be a store of value, and indeed a nice form of investment but we must also consider other functions of bitcoin.

There are no any issues in Transactions; it is very easy and fast that is why I like Bitcoin. But I have not seen shoppes that can accept Bitcoin as their payment. I heard that in only UK people have a chance to shopping with this Bitcoin. In my country, Bitcoin is illegal currency, so I don't have an opportunity to buy anything from Bitcoin.

well not a lot of online companies accept bitcoins at the moment and i think we will need to wait for a while until more of them will be accepting bitcoins payments, i think it is better to buy with bitcoin as it is easier

It is not wise to buy things using bitcoin instead of other currency. Always use fiat currency if you want to buy your daily groceries or mobile recharge kind of stuff.

Because bitcoin has a huge upside potential that any other currency. Since it is decentralized, bitcoin price can grow to any extent within a short period of time and even can fall to any extent. Seeing its popularity, it can be assumed that bitcoin prices will grow in the long run. So why waste it??

it is about many of bitcoin's features that makes it better than any other currency.
for me most of it is about the fast speed and the cheap transactions. but also i care about the fact taht bitcoin is decentralized and i can handle everything from holding it to spending it.

to be honest your bank would not be frozen if you done anything right and don't break your local rules,maybe you use bitcoin to do thing which is possible to be done through your locals,that's the advantage of bitcoin to be honest,but seems avoiding it would be better

As a personal opinion, buying with bitcoins is more beneficial for me because when the price of bitcoins hit at a high value at a time and went to buy at that time, I'd be somewhat saving money when the value drops even for a little bit.

I guess Bitcoin enables you to make borderless micro payments and that might be the edge you are looking for. Just imagine sending a fraction of a cent to someone living in another country... it is not

because by using bitcoin you do not need to convert bitcoin to any other currency. because bitcoin is a universal currency having equal value in all over the world. therefore no need to convert it to any other currency.

Do you not prefer just holding onto bitcoin and letting the value go up?  Id like to spend bitcoin but when ever i do which isn't too often but i do from time to time,  i have to buy more to replace what ive just spent.  Theres a certain level i don't like to drop below.

I think bitcoin has the advantage, compared to other currencies. That is, as you mentioned above faster, low transaction fee, instant and painless. But I think there are still many more people who use fiat money instead of using bitcoin, because they taste fiat more simple and reliable. Thank you

If your trader bitcoin ia good even for short trade the price of bitcoin is very volatility thats why it's good than currency. You will earn profit with the price of bitcoin you just need go with the flow.

Bitcoin more simple than another currencies, it is more fair than fiat money. Every people can see amount of bitcoin year by year but we can not see amount of fiat (government only). It is just my opinion thank you very much.

I'll give you more than one reason why bitcoin is better than fiat.
Ease of transactions.
Security and safety.
Anonymity yet accountability.
Payment across the globe.

and those are just off the top of my head, there's a lot of other economical advantages that need a certain aspect of bitcoin knowledge to be understood

I would think twice before spending bitcoin to buy things in this moment. But even for more time to come. It is not problem of easy of not easy but bitcoin is a investment (at least is for me) and as such cannot be spent in this way. I wait that the value of bitcoin be increased in time (and much). As such is not worth to spent it now.

I think we need to use bitcoin to buy things because of it's being secured,fast and also low fees. That's characteristic is enough for me to trust and continue using bitcoin and soon i will use it to buy things if some of the online stores will adopt bitcoin :).

in other words that bitcoin is part of the currency of the future and you must be part of that future by using bitcoin. using bitcoin you can use them to buy without having to leave the house and you can benefit from the currency? it is very different to other currencies right ?

Bitcoin as a digital currency is not necessarily better than PayPal or credit cards per se, but due to the lower costs associated with operating a Bitcoin payment method some online retailers could offer substantial discounts when offering goods purchasable with Bitcoins. When I am shopping online for stuff I always check if I could find the same items cheaper for Bitcoins somewhere and if not resort to using my debit card. It all boils down to where it's cheaper to shop that's all.

Most sellers I see usually have discounts, not price hikes, when purchasing with Bitcoin. I'm not sure where you got them.

I don't see any benefit in purchasing something using Bitcoin. It has a significant delay (no one wants to stand in line for 10 minutes to buy a lollipop). The discounts may be a benefit.

The good thing I'm seeing in bitcoin is that it's borderless. I can transfer $0.10 or $100M from North Korea to Syria with a ridiculously low fee. Also, it won't get stopped by government/private entity.
Money transfer companies usually place an unholy (IMO) fee for any transactions, big or small.

but other currencies are still being used for buy things than bitcoin. because they are more acceptable.

Some reasons were already mentioned by you. But I have a personal reason why I chose bitcoin over other cryptocurrency is because of its availability. I can search the whole region in our place and I cannot see where could I buy other cryptocurrency. Aside from that if I have other cryptocurrency I cannot convert them to cash instantly. To convert them to cash I need to trade them with bitcoins and then I can exchange my bitcoin for cash. Other cryptocurrency has no outlet in our country that can be converted it to cash immediately except for bitcoins.

I've been using bitcoin a lot to buy stuff on Amazon.  It is great because you can get a good discount on any Amazon product.

well, price changes especially when they are big changes are one of the biggest problems with bitcoin and it is in the way of bitcoin getting adopted as a currency.

but i still believe that bitcoin is so much better than using fiat for purchases because it is also like an investment and if you can invest in bitcoin when it is low then you are left with a valuable currency at your hand and these small changes doesn't affect you because they are higher than your buying price.

I prefer bitcoin for a lot of reasons as it feels more like real money to me. Fiat currency is technically worthless and only built on trust and they keep printing more and more of it, but bitcoin has a limited amount.

I too use to shop online we can save 15% Off Amazon with Bitcoin . Earners with gift cards will purchase your order in exchange for bitcoin.

This is one of the reason why Bitcoin is better to buy things rather than other currency.  As promotional price as to introduce bitcoin, several online shop give discounts to those who pay them with Bitcoin.  Another thing is that using Bitcoin doesn't require you to send all your personal info including visa card or credit card.

That is another huge plus with using bitcoin.  You don't have to worry that Amazon/Ebay/Etc.  are going to keep your credit card information safe.  You don't even have to give any personal information, just send the right amount of bitcoin to the merchant and everyone is happy.  You get your stuff, and they get their money.

Actually you when you are using Bitcoin to buy something online, something physical at least. You usually have to share your personal information as well.
Your credit card number will be safe in this case; but your address or name will be already in database of a shop, or service you are using, with annotation - bitcoin user.

can link you later with your btc address or something else right? so you lose some of  yours anonymousness.

BTC has a hard limit of 21mn. Scarcity is a key variable for a strong store of value attribute to kick in for any asset. That simple design principle is a key reason for BTC to flourish.

actually it is more convenient to use btiocin instead of any other currency. you need not to convert bitcoin to any other local currency where you are going yous it. for example if a person has gone to UAE there he want to do shopping for their family and want to buy so food stuff for himself. if the shope keeper is accepting the bitcoin there there is no need to convert the your money in any other currency you can buy thing using bitocin directly.

Why bitcoin better rather than another currency is because we dont need verivy our identity. It is anonymouse wo dont know about seller and seller dont know about us.
so because that I always use it for buying or selling online

Agreed!  We dont need to provide our data when  made transactions with bitcoin. Hence its easier to use than the other currency. The only lack from bitcoin is sometimes to get one confirmation can take a very long time. But, most of the time we will get a confirmation under 10 minutes.

You'll already say it ,its fast transaction and the fees is low and other online wallet offer no fee for sending or receiving money through bitcoin. It's so easy to receive and sending money where ever you are even your in other country you just need wait only for confirmation done .and no need to use your real identity to use bitcoin.

Bitcoin is more famous, so more people accept bitcoin, alt coin is also not a bad transaction coin but sometimes the price can change suddenly, so in my opinion bitcoin has more stable price than alt coin
And there are so many alt coin that exist it makes people inconvenience to use many wallet to hold different coin

The advantage of buying with bitcoins compared to other cryptocurrency is very clear. Bitcoin users are more in numbers than those who are using other cryptocurrency. It means that there are more who accept bitcoins as payment compared to other virtual currencies. Second bitcoin has keep increasing all over the years and it will still go up, its increase in price compared to other currency is very high and so it is why many people loved bitcoins over the other.

Bitcoin usage has risen pretty much steadily over years. more physical stores and merchants are accepting bitcoin as a form of payment than any other digital currencies, eventhough i think the real usage is catching up to the hype.

If you already receive in BTC then better spend BTC directly.

If you pay taxes for international transactions then BTC might be cheaper, at least in some circumstances

There are a bunch of advantages with buying stuff with bitcoins.

First, our identity. With bitcoins, we don't actually have to reveal our identity to the sellers, only when we need our goods to be shipped somewhere but that can be worked out.

Second is that you can buy without limits. Unlike buying with cash using atm cards, we're often limited to a certain amount and carrying cash is really troublesome and risky.

Nobody can reproach you from buying something with btc because nobody can know it's you :)

It's very simple why bitcoins is better to use than the other altcoins. One of my example is you don't need to apply in the bank for you to have an open account. It is because for me my bank is those legit exchange platform in cryptocurrencies,and it has low charge transactions. :)

I Found only two Reasons Why people use Bitcoin For Buying Things online Instead of any other Currency:-
1) Bitcoin Transactions are very fast as Compare to Other Currency and Transactions Complete within Few minutes...
2) Bitcoin is Not Owned by Any bank or Organization thus transactions are hassle free....
