No to both of those questions.
Do not say bitcoin is dead. Bitcoin is _Real_. When you hold a bitcoin in your hand you hold a peace of history.

Errr, I'm pretty sure no one's going to get to hold a bitcoin in their hand :P

My smart 8 yr old daughter picked up my laptop when I told her she can't physically hold a Bitcoin.

Even though it takes a whole network to verify their authenticity, they are ultimately in your wallet.dat file which is physically stored on your hard-drive.
So she is correct.

If someone were to steal your bitcoins they'd need to steal your laptop or at least the HDD (not counting social engineering or trojans to acquire the file remotely)
