You can read more on the Yubikey from the Yubico website:
http://www.yubico.com/ - note that the yubikey we offer is only
usable on MtGox.

You can also give this code to someone else and let them get a
free Yubikey.

This is not the best forum to put this, but I have these stupid newbie restrictions.

So if I get this right, what you're doing is that you want to sell a yubikey you're getting from MtGox to someone else ? These yubikeys, to my knowledge is tied to a certain account, no ? Why would anyone want to buy a yubikey from someone else than gox ? Never heard of a MtGox Yuibikey code though, if you're mentioning them in the same breath as you do with MtGox USD redeemable codes. Do you mean a yubikey code for logging in to MtGox with an account, or do you mean like a 'gift-code' or something to get a free Yubi-key.

Also, why do you want to sell a yubikey if you get it for free ? And how can the buyer trust that nothing nefarious is going on. I don't see a yubikey as something that's desirable to buy from a random person online.

it's a code, so mtgox still ships it to you, and it's still tied to YOUR account

Aha, and can you please enlighten me as to where in MtGox's interface you input this code to have the Yubikey sent to you ?

Also the question beckons, if you were given a Yubikey to secure your account, why don't you have it mailed to you for exactly that purpose?

I also was given a coupon code for a free Yubikey for my MtGox account.
It is being shipped for free from Tokyo and is or soon will be tied to my MtGox account.

The coupon code can be given to anyone for them to order it for free.

If you have a coupon code, log into your MtGox account, then go to security center, then under the Yubikey menu click "add new" and there is where you order it for about $30 but below that is where you submit the coupon code which changes it to free with free shipping.

I'm accepting as little as 0.1 BTC, which is less then 5$. So I don't feel shame, i feel sorry for how much this forum fails.
I'm sure I could sell it for more then 0.1 BTC if I wasnt limited by the stupid limits of this forum or had more time, but can't be arsed.

Thanks to grue and doubledave for additional explanations.

That explained it rather nicely - thanks.

You should not be sorry - there's too many scammers here, so it's important to stay vigilant. Until this was cleared up, I somehow wondered if there was some kind of nefarious scheme to run away with the funds of other people. Since you didn't explain it quite well, and a MtGox yubikey code is not exactly something you see traded every day. In the future, adding as much information as possible to a post is not a bad idea.
