Title: Pool mining delivering low amounts of eth
Post by: helloeverybody on June 27, 2016, 03:52:47 PM
So ive changed over from solo mining to pool mining but im having a problem that im getting a much lower payout than expected, If i go by an online mining calculator i should be making about 0.1 a day but im only getting 0.05 a day, this is mining on supernova.

Im using a gtx 970 and cuda miner . i get a consistent 17 mhs on the cmd side of the miner and in supernova it tells me im hashing at around 16-21 mhs.

is there any reason why im making such a low turnover or is this normal?

thanks

It comes from Suprnova. For a reason that I ignore, I've always had lower payout using this pool. I now use Dwarfpool, and I greatly recommend it !

I did wonder if it was a  problem with ssupernova itsel.  I  just wasnt  sure since i  don't know any body   else who mines their. Id  imagine everyone is getting a  lower  payout from them.  I will try Dwarfpool when i  get home tonight and see what difference i  get.

Suprnova is going to shut down its eth pool. (or already has..)

Quote
Suprnova closes eth.suprnova.cc

Because of the recent developments concerning the soft/hard fork discussion because of the DAO Hack and the decisions by the Dev's, I've decided to close the Ethereum Pool as I think ETH does not comply with the idea of irreversible, uncensored blockchain technology.

ETH is still a brilliant coin (or rather a technology) with most likely a bright future because of all the funding invested the clever dev's attached and all the possibilites with Smart Contracts etc. Of course mine it if its profitable for you, or not if you don't like the whole (changed) idea behind it.

The Pool will remain running until the fork occurs, as there are plenty of pools already it should be pretty easy to move over. It was a pleasure being one of the first pools available for ETH and I enjoyed working with the technology.

Please move your miners to the other pools, it was great to have you on suprnova, check the main page, lots of other coins are listed there too or just PM me if you find a coin that is not listed.

www.suprnova.cc

Thanks !

I would suggest to get on a smaller pool.. the bigger pools already have enough hash..

I'm quite happy with this one: eth.ezpool.cc

Greetings

i suggest to use dwarf it's the bets for me, the payout are very stable and accurate, very similar to that you get from a calculator, but you need to use their proxy to have that payout, it work best with the last genoil build, to avoid crash

I didnt realise superniva was shutting down, im just in the process of trying to setup dwarfpool but its not as straightforward as supernova was due to me already having an account with supernova. looks like i have to mine to my own wallet is that correct? Do you even get a decent wallet for eth other than the geth one which is really basic and command line.

I've put my Bittrex address, and all is fine. It's really fast once you get use to it, hopefully for me, who had to reinstall everything not less than eleven times past month.

Thanks,   I've managed to get mining on dwarfpool  now but the only thing im wondering is how do i tell that its actually mining in the pool? My miner shows my hashrate and looks like it's working fine but I'm not sure wherei  go on Dwarfpool to see the hashrate?  Or do i  just wait until my wallet gets a  payment?

That's quite simple. Go to http://dwarfpool.com/eth/address?wallet=yourwalletaddresshere. You can also go on http://dwarfpool.com/eth and enter your payout address without the 0x1. You'll find very detailled statistics and have an hourly-updated result of what you mined the last 24 hours. This pool is the best !

I also agree that dwarfpull is the best. I mine directly to btc-e address and have no problems.

I've already started on Dwarfpool now so I'm just going to give it a  try for a  few days and see what I'm averaging a  day.  I'm still not sure how you check your mining on Dwarf  but I've got address notification on and received my first payment so it's obviously working.
