What is your taughts on the price coming halving time because i remember a lot of altcoins devs used to hype their coins up with news then just before the news the price falls..

I personally think that the value might go slightly higher before the halving, but $630s are probably what we're going to be looking at for this halving. I don't think we'll be seeing anything higher, and this is where the value is going to default back once the halving is over. It seems like the miners have already adjusted to the halving and have all of their calculations set out, so take that as you will but it seems like the most likely thing to happen.

Can i ask you? Im just wondering. What is altcoin? Because i don't have any idea of that altcoin. 😉 I hope you answer me.

I look at it like this, if Bitcoin is ever going to reach a value in the high thousands of dollars, the way the price increases today around $100 a week or so when it rises will not be enough. Bitcoin will have to start increasing hundreds a dollars a week. If it's going to go a million or some such number it will need to increase by the thousands maybe by some fast and furious movements in the future. People maybe caught by surprise. It is just to early for any realistic speculation. Right now no one knows and people just pull predictions out of their assess.

As an indicator, I will say this; if the price starts to rise around $100 a day, look out, no telling how high it will go or drop after that bubble pops.

i think ti will go up to 800 or more, another rally is expected imho perhaps just before the halving, i noticed a general pattern when there is a pump then a dump then a stagnation phase, then again a pump etc.. and i think this will happen again this time

I honestly think that this is just the start and that it will go to a higher amount soon or later.
Its just a matter of time before it will go to a higher amount.

well even though the price of the bitcoin grew a lot it does not mean that it will happen once again because the price of the bitcoin depends on people and if people wont buy it will fall

i think that the price has just made only start right now and i think it has some power to increase pretty soon as people will be buying because of the incoming halving, i hope i will be correct

theres is always hype long before the news and when news comes evry1 gone with there free cash from weak hands, remember pumps take time and is well planned by the whales, it could be over but i suspect a rise before halving then 2-3 days before is will stop, linger round 6ish while making its way back to 400 in two months after havling , thats my taught

This is just the start it will rise more and more in the following months that are coming this year.
Plus another thing is that the halving is also coming soon.

As for the price party, I expect more bullishness because of the halving even though it makes no sense to me that it should be that way.  It should be priced in, but I truly expected bitcoin to stay at 430 for a while.

If you don't think the halving will have any effect, consider this: regardless of price before halving, and whether miners try to "price it in", there will be 1800 less new bitcoins per day.  When we are at a stable price (or slowly going up), as we have been for quite a while now, it means the number of buyers = number of sellers.  The halving will skew that balance.  How much we don't know, but regardless, 1800 less coins per day (657,000 per year) will be produced post-halving than are produced right now.  Still don't think there will be any affect on price?

Just starting.  By 2030 Bitcoin price will be $100,000+ and will be the primary method used to exchange value between governments, central banks, etc.  So just go for it and buy on the next convenient dip.  Feel better?

There is one statement regarding altcoin trading,
"buy on hype and sell on news" you can look and NEM and NXT pumping hard last few days causing other alts to dump hard.

Bitcoin may gain again 800$ or more before halving so i think price party is not over. This swinging price is also good for day traders.

The price party just started in August 2015. For now on, the price will rise between 50 -150% very year.

The bitcoin price rise started later last year. So far, there is no big price bubble. So the price will continue to rise.

Give it a few more months, becoming the market aware of that reward got cut in half, and I'm sure we are going to see some really nice upwards movements!With a bit of luck a 2x increase until january or february 2017 is possible imo.

I agree.  Have patience.  This entire market cycle is playing out at least 6x longer than previous cycles.  So while I definitely think we are going up in the mid to long term, as far as the short term goes, it all just has to play out.  Brexit was just the beginning.  The entire global financial system is on its knees right now

this is just the beginning of the many rises yet to come in the future. bitcoin is currently on a good path and it is going to continue down this path until reaching the moon. so far the rise over time has been very healthy and it doesn't even seem to be slowing down for the long term.

I think if there is good adoption of the bitcoin, the price of the bitcoin will keep on rise to very high prices.

i don't know what you mean by saying that about altcoin devs and the hype but i think we haven't yet seen the price rise or any party for that matter yet. it is going to start soon and everybody who has made an investment will be happy enough to celebrate with the profit they have gotten.

Price might go up or might go down short term. What I'm sure is that long term the price will go significantly up, just wait and HODL  8)

That is what some people are doing. The bitcoin price will rise between 40 to 200% in the next few years.

Bitcoin is not an unknown altcoin that can pumped and dumped easily.

You won't see wild movements caused only by the hype, so you won't see such wild moves anymore

I never thought it would take a year to get to the bottom after the ATH, and I never thought the price could go range bound between 200 to 300 for another year. I think there will be another spectacular ATH, but it will take a long time to reach it. Perhaps the post-halving reduced supply will make the price go above 1000 before the end of the year so we can have a double New Year's eve/BTC price party. Next year we might see another ATH. I doubt we will see one a few months after the halving.

thats true, bitcoin is really hard to manipulate in price i think and in my opinion we will see huge growths pretty soon, i hope that because of that bitcoin will become even more popular

The party is over. More then 1 month without any increase means it's over.
It may start again, but not before 2/3 months. Right now we can expect an correction or a minor increase.

I am positive some will thing we will see the price go to 1k within a few months. But No i don't see any big increase happening for at least a few months.
For me it's possible that the price will dive under 600 dollar though.

might be the party was over because the prices increase and reach the highest prices on 2016 before halving time and now even though the prices still not going down but no increase and i have to say that movement prices is very boring to me

Yeah, you are true, holding any currency for long term is very beneficial, as the price goes up and down in some intervals and sometimes the price goes much down but that time we do not have to afraid as at that time the expert traders try to buy more and more and within sometime the price increase much faster.

Yes, The price was about $200+ a year ago, and now it is averaging between $600 and $650. If you invested a year ago, you would have made some significant profits..  ;) The day traders will play

with the volatility in the short term, but most of us do not look at the short term. The Halving has come and gone, and the hype surrounding this has died down... and yet, we still see a much higher

price, than what we saw 1 year ago. We are the best performing currency for the last couple of years, and this should be proof enough that we doing damn fine...  ;D

Those that keep dreaming about $1000 prices to happen this year will end up being very disappointed. The price has gone up a lot already which people should be happy with. And still it's not good enough for them. At the current price there definitely still is a chance of going below $600 again, no matter how unlikely it may seem to some people.

and we must expect whatever happen the price would be at least still at 600$ mark this will show strength to this coin and dreaming to have 1k can be possible if there's a big whale to pump but as of now I'm just happy that it is still moving forward.

We are moving up slowly. Today we have been up to 690 usd so lets see how fast we go passt 700 usd.if we brake 700 thiS week then i am sure we will have a nice ride up to who knows how much before down again to 550-600usd

I hope it will not break the $700 to soon. It is better to stay below the $700 range so that some people will buy cheap.
