only a little off topic, i would like to see a group of experienced coders/promoters there to help some of the new coins.

bear in mind that i only mean coins that the team really believes in and that the team behind the coin has the right intentions with

there are plenty of people/teams that start a coin and it fails not because they has the wrong intent, but because they are roadblocks in the way

they may start off unaware of many things, like not knowing that the exchanges don't just embrace new coins or that if the mining stops, the coins stops

i can picture a charity group wanting to embrace a coin for their charity and putting hours and hours into it only for it to die because they did not know exactly what to do

we are talking here about coins that spoetnik likes, which are usually already going to some extent, what about the group watches the coins, watches the efforts of the team and not the results and grabs a new coin a month to take under their wings, they could vote on these, help mine the coins, help promote the coins, i would be willing to put maybe 0.25 BTC per month into rented mining a new coin and renting a VPS for a node and whatever else is needed

the coins that the team mines could be dispersed as bounties or bonuses, another benefit to the whole community is that a team that has the power to mine a good bit of coins would make it hard for the dev team to mine up all the initial first sets of coins and then pump and dump, that is assuming the team is fairly new

over time this could develop big and the team could even put together a small exchange, although that might be much, but they could surely put together a pool for mining the new coins

i think we expect the wrong groups to have the experience necessary to succeed and then turn around and blame them, you get these small community charities and even bigger ones to make their own coin and the exposure will increase, help them get through the rough beginning and the world will see successes and not failures.  i know that shitcoin list grows, but if we get together and help one coin per month, that is 12 new coins per year that take on value versus 12 new coins that waste time and space and discourage the teams that develop them, if we give to the community the community will give back, if not directly then in the simple exposure of bitcoin

just talking here, so a more appropriate title for this thread may be coins that you would like to see burned?  what about that?  let's say that new coins ceased NOW.  the only coins are the thousands out there currently and we propose to take that number down to 100 coins over a ten year period. on the keep side, we know BTC, DOGE, and LTC.  what coins would you immediately throw in the fire and are there any that stand out that you would keep?  and what about a truly disappearing coin?  an algo system and coding system that ensures a finite life for a single coin.  Say you start a coin to raise money for victims of a disaster, for that a self-burning coin, three month life. on day 90 the supply goes from 100,000 to zero or the chain ceases to process new data, an exponential halving system that makes it impossible to mine after day 90?

i know you are bitter, i am too half the time, but we are just starting to get somewhere and the flood will be enormous.  i remember when there were ten android apps and all made by Google, now ANYONE can make an app for android, windows and ios at the same time in less than ten minutes and there are millions of shit-apps.  so, if you can't pick 100 core coins, how about a big five, the big ten, what coins make and break the crypto world in your opinion?
