15% is too high inflation rate. I havent sold my ico coins even when everyone is dumping. If the reward is going to be this high, count me out of Rise.

No clone coin has survived such high inflation rate.

I've not really seen many talk about it, but a reward of 7.5 would be fine. Halve the inflation. Won't matter in a year anyways with the innovation of Rise the value with be much, much more than it is now.

Since we are DPOS coin, one of POS's core concept is low inflation rate, I don't think the current inflation rate is reasonable, this high rate could kill the ICO investors, it is not fair for us. 0-1 coin per block is the reasonable.

Btw, newbie account can't vote here.   :-\ :(  Maybe next week I can vote here when level up

Lisk inflation is 5 Lisks/Block.

copy pasted from Lisk ANN Page:

Supply: 100 million LISK + Forging Rewards (currently 5 LISK per block)

ETH inflation will reduce to 1-2% after few months.

WHY DEV WANTS RISE TO HAVE 15% INFLATION RATE?? WHO BENEFITS FROM SUCH HIGH RATE?

No, if first year we have so high rate, without roadmap implementation, we ICO buyers will be BADGOLDERS FOREVER   :(

I joint ICO cause I though its inflation rate is as low as other POS coins.

To Change or Not to Change the Rise Block Reward?

After concerns that the block reward is too high there is a chance to lower it if a large majority think it's worth doing.

To start with we'll run a yes or no poll for 2 weeks, if the Yes vote wins, we'll look at what the block reward should be changed to in round 2 of voting. If the majority is a No vote then block reward will remain the same.

Rise team would like to know what the community thinks about the current block reward which is set at 15 Rise per block.

At the moment it works out in the following way.

15 Rise per 30 seconds are forged.
30 Rise per minute
1800 Rise per hour
43200 Rise per day
15768000 Rise per year

Over the next 10 years Rise has the following rate of inflation.

Year 1: 115,768,000 Total coins with 15.76% annual inflation rate

Year 2: 131,536,000 Total coins with 13.62% annual inflation rate

Year 3: 147,304,000 Total coins with 11.98% annual inflation rate

Year 4: 163,072,000 Total coins with 10.74% annual inflation rate

Year 5: 178,884,000 Total coins with 9.67% annual inflation rate

Year 6: 194,608,000 Total coins with 8.81% annual inflation rate

Year 7: 210,376,000 Total coins with 8.10% annual inflation rate

Year 8: 226,144,000 Total coins with 7.49% annual inflation rate

Year 9: 241,912,000 Total coins with 6.97% annual inflation rate

Year 10: 257,680,000 Total coins with 6.51% annual inflation rate

Please vote Yes or No if you would like to see the Rise inflation rate changed!

Why are we voting on a message board? Most people here dont actually own RISE coins, why are they supposed to vote? WTF is wrong with you guys??? Just implement a friggin poll within the Rise wallet. Votes depend on the amount of RISE you actually own...

I mean; fuck off!

You gotta love these "well thought out" coins that need to change their specs mid-race. lol
If the dev can't even get the rewards right from the start what do you have to expect from such a project?

Trash it, there is better stuff.

Year 3:   9 RISE per block, 137,843,200 Total coins with 7.37% annual inflation rate

Year 4:   6 RISE per block, 144,150,400 Total coins with 4.58% annual inflation rate

Year 5:   3 RISE per block, 147,304,000 Total coins with 2.19% annual inflation rate

I suggest deflation.

This way coins would circulate much faster since everyone would want to get rid of them.

IT would be great advantage against all competing coins.
