Better change this topic. The email is not from blockchain.info . Keep the topic open so others will know that someone is copying blockhain but make it clear.

it's just someone (possibly ponzi owner) using mailer and faking blockchain.info's email,if you use gmail, this kind of email will be considered as a spam just ignore this, this is very common trick used by scammer

In the begining I doubt about your post , but when I saw your editing I became relieved , no one will believe that blockchain is promoting ponzi site . I hope you make the editing of your post in black color and bigger size , because some members didn't watch it as I see in the comments .

yes it's true and blockchain would not promote ponzi because they are pure online wallet but we must be careful from those email and ponzi owners will do everything they could to promote their sites and also to get new investors as their victims

...

Scams are all over the place!

Be careful.  I fell for a scam myself, and had a BTC address stripped clean of all my money there (a real amount, but not a "deal breaker").

A wariness bordering on paranoia is almost required in Bitcoinistan.  Double-check everything.

Wait, how did he use blockchain.Lnfo if, AFAIK, .Lnfo domains don't even exist? I thought that it was impossible to send emails without it even being real, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Damn, scammers becoming a lot more smarter nowadays, yeah?

it's possible to faking email sender just like that, there's so many tutorials in the internet floating around and you can do this for cheap price or even for free just need a server or mailer, but in most case, this kind of email considered as a spam if you're using good quality email provider just like gmail,so be sure to use quality email provider to avoid this

I remember i have got one fake email with the above email address 3 days ago like below;
Quote
Blockchain@blockchain.lnfo to me

Your wallet will be locked

Your Blockchain account needs to be verified.

We will reset the chains from your wallet. If you have funds please verify you account and your wallet don't will be erased. We don't are responsible if you lose your funds for not make the verification. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Best Regards.
And they have attached one start the verification process with this link: http://hashocean-refunds.com/Blockchain.info/

I laugh for some minutes when i read this, read that link " we will reset the chains from your wallet" i don't know what the hell it means to reset chains from specific address in bitcoin, scammer seem really noob on how bitcoin blockchain works. And another " we don't are responsible" oh man what a broken grammer they have.

I am posting this to show other don't to get scammed following this types of fake email. If you also have got this type of email don't click on any link in the email.

More and more people are getting aware for security to their PC thank god nowadays. But also more and more scammers are turning back to the oldest trick of hacking which we all learned since when we were in 5th grade in first lessons with computers regarding phishing attempts. Its one of the oldest tricks and many people think of them as they will never fell for it, but the reality is many have fallen for this and a lot of hacking in the bitcoin wallets (online ones of course) has as an origin a phishing email or a phishing website. Its best to triple check a suspicious link before clicking it. This will save many users many trouble.

Or they can do a simple step to just step in and move toward Electrum wallet and never receive emails from official blockchain , or copycats who want just to steal your data. All you need is a Clean PC and to keep it that way when using Electrum.

1.Thanks for sharing it,you might as well consider the full details.

2.I wish you could mail him back and ask for the bitcoin address,in case he hasn't provided that before.

3.Pretty obvious its fake as blockchain.info doesn't even use the mail mentioned in there, check their official support.

4.Have you reported the mail to them ? Please do it :-Best way to make them aware is messaging on facebook, they reply instantly!

scammers always think they are smart enough to be trusted. I have never received an email from the real blockchain.info with an advertisement so I would ignore a mail like this totally and put it in the spam folder without notice the changed email

I doubt that anyone would catch that, unless they follow blockchain.info very closely. Even if someone did, I believe it's possible that services mass-mail their clients through a different email (but still in their company domain name) in special scenarios.

changing a letter in the domain trying to scam people is not new. I saw a site that pretend to be the real blockchain wallet and their domain as blockchaLn . that is why one should always make sure he is on the correct site before writing any passwords or believing any emails
