Title: [WTB] Mint 25 BTC block
Post by: theonepigeon on July 02, 2016, 12:24:19 PM
Probably this goes for strong solo BTC miners and BTC pool operators.

I want to buy one mint BTC block (> 25BTC) to an address of my choosing.
Note: so the coinbase transaction should have the 25 BTC reward output sent to the address I will provide.
So it's not that I want to buy just 25BTC, I need the mint block with no other transaction between.

PM me your price/markups, easy good money, I pay upfront (in BTC) to a respectable escrow mediator of your choosing, or directly to you if I feel ok.

0.2 BTC referral reward to anyone that gets me the one.

Let me know if you have questions (on the sales part). Prefer private PMs

:D I'm serious though.

You would have to go hard drive digging to get a mint block that hasn't been spent. Or contact satoshi  :D :D  :D

IIRC those new BTCC 25BTC Blocks are funded with coinbase transactions.
They come at a premium of roughly 5BTC and you probably can't choose an address, but gotta pick from the ones they provide.
You however get the private keys to an address that was funded with a coinbase transaction.
Anyhow, that's the closest I can think getting to what you are searching for (or the only sane thing).

Yeap, I'm aware of those, just checking to see if something better comes up.

Part of that 5BTC premium is the cost of creating/minting and shipping the coin to you. If you contact BTCC directly, they might be willing to have the coinbase transaction of one of their found blocks be sent directly to your address, possibly for a lesser premium.

There are very few solo miners out there today, so I would find it somewhat unlikely that anyone would come across this thread that would have an unspent 25BTC coinbase transaction input in their (cold) wallet. If you are interested/willing to buy either a portion of or all of a 50BTC "block" then I think the chances of you finding someone willing to do this would be greater.

The CKPool https://kano.is/ has a feature whereby you can mine (or set up that someone else such as http://www.miningrigrentals.com/ mines for you ) to a Wallet Address of your own choosing.

Details of the solo mining feature can be found here: http://solo.ckpool.org/ you will not be part of any pools, so any blocks you find will be newly minted. (You'll have to wring your hands at the 1% fee, ( BTC 0.25 until halving occurs) but from what I can tell this is as close as you will get - and cheaper than BTC 5 fee being suggested by others.

Hope this helps.
