Title: Anti-Planned Obsolescence Hoodies Post by: Mike Christ on March 15, 2013, 09:42:24 PM Not sure if anyone here has seen this (or wears hoodies religiously like me :P), but these guys have a kickstarter going on right now, where they're selling premium, durable hoodies that are meant to last a lifetime (and come with a 10-year warranty, at that.)
The 10-Year Hoodie (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jakehimself/the-10-year-hoodie-built-for-life-backed-for-a-dec) I'm excited about this. They've already hit over 1000% backing; people are really showing that they want quality goods, and are willing to spend the cash for them. I've already backed them for one myself ;D With any luck, this kind of thing will catch on. Planned obsolescence is about as greedy as it gets. Either way, I won't have to deal with half-pair socks. |
