And the current price now is $702.94 as what we expect it will increase and increase until the halving.

So come on just wait and relax. It will reach its highest price this time. ;D

i believe that everybody who has at least a couple of hundred satoshis is up to date with bitcoin price and they will at least check the price once everyday. there is always preev.com for a quick check on a light and ad free site.

You need to realise that the bitcoin price isn't stable and there are drastic changes throughout the day... the difference between the high and low price, from 24hours can be 100 dollars! Its crazy, But as halving is in fact approaching.. the price will steadily increase

Well, I knew this would happen. but not all sites are saying that the price of bitcoin up at $ 700. perhaps in the near future bitcoin price is set at $ 700. but, I think so many people are waiting for bitcoin prices reach $ 800 or more to sell their bitcoin, because this year has the potential bitcoin price of $ 800.

I knew this would happen again but price is back at line of 6 again $692. Im just waiting for $720+ to sell my bitcoin and as i can see on the movement it would be hard for now.

By the comments i assume everyone Beleives the price will not hold above 700 after the halfing?  A lot of people seem to be selling at this price.  Better watch you don't get knocked out of the market for ever.

I am predicting price to be well above 800$ on halving. I am willing to sell at that point, price may go down after halving (many are holding with halving specultion) so selling pressure is obvious.

I think that selling is not a good choice, because probably price are more stable in this years or even there is a clear tendency to price increasing ;)

You will have to wait for a new high price.I'd say give it another few more months, maybe 6-10.
Regarding the $700 it seems there is not enough buying pressure to finally break it at the moment.
The volume is still not that impressive and another drop to where we were a few days ago wouldn't surprise me.
I don't expect much movement until halving or shortly after it.The next real growth will happen with a bit of delay, at the end of this year imo.

Hopefully price is rising with positive signs so that I think before the halving it cross the $800, there is pretty good chance to reach around $1000 before end of the current month but any stable floor would be great achievement for it.

After the excitement about going through the $700 level, people have now to make place to do a step back. Let's see how long it takes before we are back on +$700 levels.

It is nice to see we are back on that level. But it should raise a lot, I think it should reach $900 as the days are passing by fast, and today it's 3rd July. We should see some drastic movements from now on.

Im still half under the impression that whoever is pumping up the price, be it a single person or a group, arent going to allow the price to reach $1000 because this is like a universal exit point for so many bitoicn users. I think whoever is pumping knows this and knows that a significant amount will be dumped once we get near to that price.

I expect the price to stay in a $30 to $40 range between $670 and $710 for the next week, so it will probably go to $750 soon. I agree there will be a time delay between the halving and impressive rises above the ATH, so it will probably go impressively above the ATH before the halving.

Anything can happen at halving. Even if price reaches 1000$ and people started dumping, it will be good for the investors to buy again at a low price. We could have new bitcoins users then. ;)

Looks like those bastards are trying to push the price down and don't want to se it above 700$ but eventually we will break i again and stay above.

i went to bed with the price being just over the $700 price level, and i wake up seeing the price got dumped down again. i could definitely make some profit on that dump if i was not sleeping.

When i checked yesterday the price was at 704, now we are back to 670. For some reason 700 dollars seems to be price that is hard to breach.
If there is stable support we may see some good things.

Good to know that the price goes up to $700 again. Hopefully you are right that it won't be below $750 on halving. There are quite small changes on the price of bitcoin these past few days that's why it's hard to predict/expect sudden increase but I'm still hoping for more on or after halving day. Can't wait to see it in $800 and up, that would be really a good time for me to trade again.

I'm suspecting this, too. If I wanted to "ride this wave" of the rally, I would sell at most at $950. (I actually am not riding this wave with major sums because I still have no real confidence in this second part of the rally).

But I don't know if the 900s will be reached in the next 4-5 weeks. It is possible, if the price increase in the following 2-3 weeks is not too steep and on the other hand we have no major correction (under 550). But if we see a double top in the 770-800 region then I would guess that the next step could be even lower than 550 USD.

The fundamentals will also be a big influence: What will happen with the block size debate, will the Lightning Network be a success, and what about Segwit? That discussion could be a major source for volatility in the next months.

I expect $1000 to happen, but in 2017.

It seems to be hovering but dipped a little bit. I wish it was a steady rise all the way up to the halving but some fairly major things happened in the market this week. Brexit, withdrawals stopped from a major exchange... it all works out in the end though!

don't think the majority of the people here will ever get used to these fluctuations. it has been happening from the beginning and people still panic when they see the price goes down a few bucks. for me personally these fluctuations are a more than welcome thing as i profit from trading against the volatility. where other people panic, i see opportunties.

No, that's not a universal exit point, because when we are moving towards a new halving, we should expect a new high too. So, definitely we are going above that 1000 thing and I expect even more hazardous moves from today onwards.

I don't think $1k price is possible at halving as price has gone back to $655 now and we were expecting that it will cross $700 today but nothing is going in a right direction.

Yeah, the price is once again started to increase, today I am seeing the price reached to $650 but hope that it will reach to $700 once again sooner and after that it will continue to increase and will give us profit continuously till the end of the year.

Current price decline bitcoin. prices continue to fall and can not be arrested. I feel the price decline due to the holiday period is going next few days. many bitconer and traders who sell their bitcoin for holiday needs.

Yeah that is one possibility and price was higher today in morning so I think many users would have sold their coins to make quick profits, holding for next 6 days would be good decision.

The halving is coming, don't expect any major rises because of that. Brexit or China.. well that ship has sailed too. At best i hope the price will stablize now and stay at a certain price range for a couple of years.

My prediction was still not refuted. The price is today a bit lower than yesterday (4-5% difference), but it could be viewed as the small correction to avoid another overheating. If the prices does not go again under the 550 USD mark for a prolonged time, then a new bullish phase is totally possible and even has high probability.

In fact, the actual situation with a price climbing in a slower manner is more bullish in the mid term as people would build up confidence in a >600 USD price. If we could sit, for example, two months in this area - totally ignoring halving and other fundamentals - then I expect a stable uptrend until the end of the year (with some minor corrections, but then we should be higher on December 31 than now).

We all know bitcoin price tends to go lower more often than it goes higher. It's just that when it goes higher, it goes ballistic. We will see lower lows in the coming days until November when it goes rocketing up. Of course what goes up must come down. January 2017 will see a blood bath, again.

I agree here as last time when it reaches $1000, it quickly dropped by $300 and I don't want it to reach the threshold limit which can harm bitcoin buyers and investors. Chinese investors too are not taking too many risks during halving as they want to increase the number of trades rather than letting the price be pumped to $1k and then dumping it.

I am quite sure that not many people expected the price to go down significantly after being excited over the price breaking through $700 again. At least it offered people that sold at $700 today to buy back their coins at a $50 discount.

Yes, many are waiting for that moment. I think little by little increase is better even it will take sometime than one skyrocket moment then fall down all of a sudden. I think it's right that we all must be patient with bitcoin price although we are excited to see it at $800 and up. What's more important is that, bitcoin will still have a value. :)

I think in this time the price will not get stable till the next halving after some days, and after the halving it will increase highly and may be reach 1000$ or more as expected, may be some weeks after the halving.

Welcome back 700 will just happen in a couple of weeks and that is because the price needs to find his way up and the halving will not help allot with
that. So if we want to make sure we will get back to the 700 we need to make sure everybody is spending some of their coins.

the stable price above $600 seems to be the price that will stick. it has been tested and was proven that it is stable enough. besides we already went down below $600 barrier once and it wasn't too long before the price jumped back up above it, so i think it is safe to say that a $676 isn't so out of order.

I think the price right now are reduce and looks like many people are greedy thats why they are sell their bitcoin thats the price of bitcoin right now reduce.. so i think its hard to reach 700 value right now because whales and bulls are are fighting.

Yeah this increase needs to continue only then every user here profit high compared to the past weeks as quoted by above mate. Also volatility is the major factor which is much needed for a good increase similar to the past halving.

It is true that bitcoins won't remain stable at or above $700. It wasn't even stable at $450 earlier and the price being doubled lately will affect the market with less trades taking place. I guess today we are going to see $700 price levels again and I don't think $700 is a bad price to sell at if you have bought those coins for a lower rate.

Yes, it couldn't remain stable around $700 but I'm happy that it's moving which makes me as a trader profit. I bought over 0.5 BTC in the past week as the price was below $610 and now I plan to sell those coins and waiting till it reaches $900-$950 hopefully before halving.

I am also waiting for this to happen any time soon now because I taught that we were going to hit this a couple weeks ago but as the price was rising it dropped again.
I believe that after the halving the price is going to rise again and then we will hit $1000.

At the moment the value of the Bitcoin is around $600 but I am sure that sooner or later the price is going to rise again but I do not know when exactly it is going to happen.
We just have to wait it out and see if anything will happen this year.

This is very stupid to say. In the Bitcoin world, 100 dollars is nothing and we are less than 100 dollars away now from 700. Also, in the bitcoin world 4 months is a lot of time and anything can happen, including 1k+.

We just gained $30 and this has pleased everybody. To gain another $100 on the back of this seems unlikely.
We have no further positive triggers and the momentum looks unlikely to carry us that far.

Are we already on to the 700 dollar i doint think you know where we are standing today because if i take a look at the price of the bitcoin i see that the price is around the 600 dollar and not 700.

I think the first post on the opening page (that was posted back in July, which is two months ago) says that the price hit $700 that day. The price peaked at $780 a few days later and after that the price went tumbling down to as low as $500. In those two months, we have seen how the price seesawed and if it goes back to $700, I would be pleasantly surprised. Though I won't complan if it stays in the low to mid $600s until the end of the year.

the rate now is $611 on poloniex, and i am really hope that the rate will be up until it reach $620 and up to the moon. but its really need sometime to reach above $700. i think its hard to reach $650, its only depend on the market and there are no panic selling again like before.

Being optimistic is good, but i think $700 is quite big for now. I mean, i'm also happy if the bitcoins price can reach $700, but i don't think it will happen for now. It might be happen in the end of the year.

In hindsight, in July, when this thread was created I was waiting for that magical threshold of $1000 to sell. Sufficient to say - we never reached that point.
I am not gonna make the same mistake again and will sell some BTC when we reach $700 again, I advise you do the same. $1000 is unreachable in 2016.

You are right everyone was waiting with the halving to make some good profit but this never really happened so I also think selling on the amount of 700 dollar is a good thing.

Exciting times are upon us again. We have been seeing the price rise day by day, from $570 in late August to the current price of $625. Makes me want to believe that $700 is just a few weeks or even days away from happening. Let us what happens and how the price holds in the coming days.

Well this is not 100% correct.
In autumn/winter 2014 to 2015 the price went down.
But with all other years you are right. So let's hope 2014/2015 was an exception due to the crazy ride and Mt.Gox desaster and we will continue to rise again in this year's Q4!

manipulation and volatility are part of bitcoin since the very beginning. if you're a trader you won't complain with this fact. i take every bit of volatility very seriously when it comes to trading. if you do that all year, then you'll end up making great profits.

Too early to be so positive about this pump. Even though it would be nice if Bitcoin price goes back to 700$ range, we shouldn't celebrate right now because it's still in 620$ range. We should be grateful, though, because after a couple of weeks, we can finally see an actual movement on Bitcoin's price. Only thing we can all do is hope that our patience would finally pay off.

It's not a pump. It's just the price showing signs of recovery after all the negativity we have been through. It's a bit too early to start talking about the price reaching $700 but if it's going to happen in the coming months, then I hope it will be a gradual increase instead of a peak.

The price already did go back to 607 dollar. Question is now, will we hold 600 or will go go back to the 580 area. It's important that we keep support well over 600 dollar, so the price can find a stable point in the 630 area. Because touching 580 dollar, means that we can also touch 550 dollar or even lower.

That is what most of us expect but our expectation seems wrong again like when we expected a $1k price before the end of the year but we're wrong. Maybe its not yet time for price increase i guess.

Since September 10, price of Bitcoin started to drop 2 days in a row now. We enjoyed a 9 day rally and almost reached $630 but since 9-11 it started to drop but if you look at the bright side, today is the 8th day that Bitcoin rate is high up to $625 per USD. Still not to late to buy I think.

This unexpected. now for the first time during the week bitcoin prices decline. bitcoin price decline is reasonably high and make some traders panic sell. This is something that was not expected.

As quoted sure this makes a panic among the traders but the person having trust on bitcoin won't give up. Ongoing price movement is the true nature of bitcoin. Soon this increase will continue on the rising side.

Not really a big decline, from $622 last September 11 down to $614.06 on September 12 that's an 8 dollar difference but if you check back a few days prior to that September 3 its $576 then climb to $593 on September 4 that's an $16 difference. It's still within normal movement if you ask me. Nothing to panic yet.

I dont think we will see the 700 back because i know for sure that the price will circle around the 600 that is sad because i love to see the price at that hight but for now that is not possible.

There is no way to know for sure that the price won't touch the $700 level this year. But then again, even it does stay around $600 it's a great price. Do you remember the price last year? Compared to that year we have realized an impressive growth.

I think we are in a situation where it is a bit hard to establish a position of whether the price will increase or decrease. There seems to be a tug of war to either bring the price back up to over $600 and below it. The weekend price really helps in dictating how it behaves over the next few days. Seems that we can expect this to happen for the remainder of September.

At current price and the prices I've seen in 2016 Bitcoin is "my precious". I'm in a certain point that I'm close to sell one house and a motorbike to put everything in Bitcoin. Bro, there's a lot of news any things will be very very good in near future.

Very happy indeed about price increase to 600$ i wish it was still 700 haha. Anyways we shouldn't cheer too early cause prices are highly unstable.
We might see big drops again very soon or we might not who knows. I hope to see big price increases and I don't want to sit in a bubble being stuck.

Well its unpredictable bud, and it is normal thing on bitcoin but i am really happy for now to see of its price currently rising and i really hoping this rally will continue to soar high for more and hopefully we don't facing another serious problem just like what happen to bitfinex so the price still will go up, so for now lets just monitor for the prices and we would surely see some good upwards result.

Lol i guess it would took you a few years before you will be able to sell your holdings and the bitcoin as well it would take a few years before it could go to your desired price . But if you are willing to wait for that time you will never have a problem for that but instead you will be enjoying while waiting . As long as the bitcoin is not stopping to move its price to the higher level we will never lose our hope .

But tell me how long you will hold the bitcoins in wallet. If you need money any emergency situation that time just sell that bitcoins for your own atleast. It's good save some bitcoins but sell it when you are indeed.

yes in fact the price of bitcoin is trading in a very low low level therefor it is expected that the price of bitcoin will continue increasing, and hope that very soon it will cross the all time high price.

But dont get too excited just expect the average to stay in the $600 zone for a bit longer - unless there is some dramatic changes in the community for bitcoin or something else that reflects on it.

True, theres nothing to worry about since bitcoins price is in normal price range yet unlike on those  price drops near $540+ as i remembered but as we see that no matter bitcoin lowers its price it  actually rises or bounce up again. Maybe there are people who sold their bitcoin when the price reaches  $620 and i think those sellers was those who bought on  $540- 570 i guess since they could gained profit with that.

Yeah right bitcoin prices stabilized after a few days now bitcoin increase. It was very good for bitcoin users and investing. It would be a huge advantage. I hope the price of bitcoin will keep getting better from day to day.

It may take few more weeks or even months to get back above $700 but i am quite sure we will see $700 again or even way higher than that.
