Post by: rio-bttc on July 03, 2016, 03:54:54 PM
Hey Guys,

Any of you would know what's happening with Coinpayments? It seems down for a day... I really hope they are having something temporary..

You mean https://www.coinpayments.net/ ? They work. Infact I have just accessed it right now. Must be just your internet connection.

Lol. It's not waiting for you to write anywhere else. Maybe just your internet. Next time if it happens, try refreshing your browser again and it may work.

I checked before writing here if it was only my browser or not. But it showed it was off also on the other sites like downoruprightnow or downforeveryoneorjustme(dot)com

So it was not only my browser. They have CloudFlare's Always Online system that even it is off let the person who visit the site to surf on a snapshop of a site. But this doesn't let me to go my account.

It seems like it goes off and on frequently. And even when it is on I am not able to enter my account.

For me the site is very slow, it takes too long to open, already passed 5 minutes and the site does not process anything, it's all white.

I think it must be some problem they have, I hope to correct as soon as possible.

already had a lot of scam websites in just one month, I hope this is not another that turns scam.

As they wrote on Twitter from their account:

Quote
CoinPayments ‏@CoinPaymentsNET
"Our apologies if you are unable to access our site, someone has taken it upon themselves to DDoS our host."

I am unfamiliar with this terminology. Does this should sound bad?

Here (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=DDoS&defid=528414) is an okay definition of it. Basically, people who dislike a website/host will overload servers with requests to slow it down/take it down for a short period of time. No, it's not necessarily bad and data isn't leaked during it.
