Post by: 0xAli on July 04, 2016, 05:13:26 PM
What happened::
Send me a PM for the bitcoins i wanted to sell for western union, then linked me to a fake bitcointalk website with a trusted escrow address changed.

Scammers Profile Link:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=57332

Payment Method:
Western union

Proof of Payment:
None

PM/Chat Logs:

Here are the images of chat:

The link leads to bitcointlak [DOT] org which is obviously fake.

well, it is good that you was aware of the malicious link .the account of accused  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=57332)is of Hero Rank , i feel bad that being a old member he tried to scam for 100$ , anyways i would like any member from DT to get the PMs verified so that other members can start tagging out this scammer.

regards,
mike

Pretty obvious it is a bought account. Last post was from June, so the buyer probably wanted to scam and make some quick profit. Luckily, the scammer just ended up wasting BTC. Also, 0.7 BTC is no where close to 100$. It is 470$, which is 5 times more. I suggest you give a trusted member access to your account to verify the PM, or report it to a moderator.

I've left negative trust to live627.
OP, would you be willing to grant me temporal access to your account to verify the PM? Or you can report it and ask a mod to confirm it's legit.

I reported the PM to administrator, i can give you access if all you will do is look for his PM's only.

Confirmed, thanks for the report and glad nobody was scammerd. Left a negative feedback and banned live627. Probably a hacked account.

Thanks. I've confirmed the PM is legit. Please change your password.

The PM is:

Hi 0xAli and live627,

No problem acting as Escrow again for your exchange.

@ 0xAli Please send the BTC (0.721) to my Escrow address in the first post of my thread and ONLY to this address (168WXhzu3yfRqMHohAF9KH9LfDarazndUY - verify HERE (http://tinyurl.com/zwlppbv)), please PM the transaction ID to benawesome100 when done.

@ live627 when you have verified the transaction to my address as seen on the first post of my thread (168WXhzu3yfRqMHohAF9KH9LfDarazndUY) you are safe to send the WU (seller will receive $471 EXACTLY) to user 0xAli.

@ 0xAli Please PM live627 when you have received the WU so i can release the BTC

Link below to my main Escrow thread in the forum:

Cheers,
OgNasty

When you have transfered the BTC please PM me the following:

Name:
Firstname:
Country:
City:
Security question and answer (optional):

I will do the WU directly after i have got confirmation you have transfered the funds.

(I've just added spaces to his "ESCROW THREAD" so it's not click-able)
