Title: Mysterious extra charge on transaction to shapeshift from blockchain.info? Post by: btc3769 on July 05, 2016, 03:51:20 PM I recently sent some BTC to an altcoin via shapeshift.io from my blockchain.info wallet. Shapeshift gives you a single address to send it to, which I did, in the amount of roughly .152BTC, but of that, only .1486 arrived and .0038 went to another address I didn't see in the initial transaction. There was an additional .00027 BTC mining fee, which I expected, but why did that .0038 get sent to a different address? Is this a blockchain.info fee for sending from their wallet? Is there a way to avoid this second fee? And why does my 'Estimated BTC Transacted' number only show .1486? This is the amount I sent minus this extra destination-I'm just not clear on where that went...
