I have been holding this coin for sometime now and hoping the price will shoot up but instead it is been dumped day by day now at the lowest sats of 15 sats.

price stay low because the new Dev (OSMIUMCOIN) dump everyday his millions of xct (22.888 mil now) , just check c-cex balance distribution.

I dont think 3 Mil dump will drop the price, 3 million are only 0,57BTC and this is nothing incompare to the daily volume, XCT need more interest, and a second exchange.
Dev why dont ou add xct in yobit, the interest will be bigger and XCT will attend the next price level 100sat.
This will cost you only 0.1btc

That as it may sounds the new dev should also try to add another exchange and i think yobit is easier in order not to kill the coin permanently while dumping on cex alone.

This seems to be an interesting project. Getting into an exchanges is not a problem. However, people must show interest to hold these coins. The real price hides there. Look at Sia for example.

What do you need done to get c-bit added to poloniex?

He is just trying to keep the price under 50 sats so he can pick up as much as he can in the 20s and below as people dump there. So he isn't trying to dump his stash, he is trying to grow it which makes me wonder what else is planned

Well, don't expect the price to rise anytime soon....it's still early for the coin and it's very cheap to mine, and lots of supply left in next few years.  we need to wait at least the next halving.

I was on the outside of the forum looking in when this coin originally launched. Though it didn't provide any real innovation, it seemed to have a focused and funded team behind it. When they vanished it was pretty disappointing. Still have about 150k left in the wallet.

Well, this coin doesn't need a developer or team anyways...it just needs time for blockchain to get established and difficulty increased and supply to be released just like bitcoin's path.

I just added over 20 nodes with the addnode command in the C-Bit Core RPC console, but still nothing happens.

Not sure, there are 7 active connections in my wallet at the moment....

fire up your wallet...click "help", then click "debug window"

then you should see a command prompt.  just type in addnode and press enter

you will see all the options available.

the format is:

addnode "ip address:port" add

press enter.

and you can get the ip address:port list from page 1 of this ANN, there is a ton of them.

Old Dev team never burned the coins they promised they would after the 51% attack so basically they have kept over 6 million coins in case the price increase and then just dump them. Proof below, you can see the pending blocks 12416 that were never paid.

Its wrong information, i can tell this because i have the same problem in my pool. Nomp is a little bit buggy with orphan blocks, sometimes orphant block counts as pending... and then pool tries to payout missing money)))
C-bit on low diff spam blocks as hell and it makes pool go crazy, thats why there is so much pending blocks.

And with so much pending invalid transactions doemon kill wallet rpc and its cant clear pending blocks without help from, admin.

when launching on windows 7. loads fine than right before it launches the wallet a popup appears "No valid genesis block, incorrect or missing datadir?" there's no C-Bit dir in appdata, the wallet isn't creating it.

So the wallet works for me still, I was a bit surprised but that should mean that the blockchain is still working and working well. I see no reason why anyone should give up on this coin as it is.

I see no reason why this coin cannot get to YoBit at least, where there will be more volume than on C-Cex or even Cryptopia. For this, we should crowdfund addition to YoBit (as a start). I am more than willing to help with this, and I don't think it would be right for just 1 person to pay the fee in order to dump their coins later. This should be a community led effort to get XCT on a better exchange.

For those with trust issues (can't blame you), I am @pyramuscrypto (https://twitter.com/pyramuscrypto) on Twitter. I am very accessible, not anonymous and while not all that popular on Twitter, I am not all that unpopular either. So I do have some reputation to uphold and wouldn't ruin that by scamming people out of 0.1 btc.

C-BIT mission supposed to be as solution for bitcoin scalability issue , 2MB block size and PoW allow C-BIT to handle more transactions than bitcoin.

Osmiumcoin promised firefly coin revival, but never happened, he just wanted to sell his coins... There is NO working coin on bitcoin core 12 or later that works with POS.

There are a few coins trying to make it work, and Osmiumcoin is not apart of any of them.
