I work for minimum wage in America and am tired as fuk most of the time.

I know what you are thinking, "join the club." Its hard being broke as a joke.

When I first got into bitcoin, I was working on creating a website. I got a 1.5 bitcoin loan or so from bitcoin jam.
My plan was to invest in cloud mining and use the daily profits to advertise.
Facebook charges you $10 for 10 visitors, yet you can get 10 higher quality bitcoin enthusianados for 7¢ worth of bitcoin.
I didn't need to invest all the bitcoin into advertising all at once, so I thought why not do it incrementally?

I was hoping to invest my cloud mining profits at a few bitmil a day and drive traffic to my site to build a following slowly.

I knew cloud mining was risky so I diversified and even did research to make sure each company had a valid POOL.

YET EVERY DAMN CLOUD MINING SITE TURNED OUT TO BE A PONZI! And I lost ALL my coins.

Cointellect - hashie - hashprofit - scrypt.cc - cloudhasher - probably 1 or 2 others.... ALL SCAMS.

I was a newbie and I made a bad decision, yes. But why is there so much anger at me, when ultimately...
those cloud mining sites are at fault and should not exist? Why is there not greater effort to jail thieves like this?
Why is there not a hacker community taking down ponzis before they are allowed to hurt honest people?
Why the hell or HOW the hell are those people happy with themselves doing "business" the way they do???

lessons everyone should learn.

check their WHOIS website domain details.
if it is under privacy guard RED FLAG
if it links to an address shared by several businesses or a pobox RED FLAG
if it links to a residential address RED FLAG
if they dont even register themselves as a business RED FLAG

if they are offering guaranteed returns RED FLAG
if they are offering referral commission RED FLAG

in short if you cannot find enough real information to be able to visit the owner and slap him across the face with a wet fish. dont expect to be able to report them to the cops or sue them.

know who you are trading with if you are handing funds to strangers in amounts that will make you cry if they lost it
know who you are trading with the second part(their half) of a contract/deal is not instantly settled back to you or not escrowed

A very bad experience ideed but at least you've learned your lesson and in the future you will avoid doing the same mistakes again and make scammers rich.I hope that many newbies will read this post and see what happens to you when you mess with these kind of sites.
Everyone should keep in mind a simple rule when something sounds to good to be true then it's probably a scam.

maybe getting scammed on 1 fake cloud mining and you'd not yet realize what's going on so you need to be scammed on so many fake cloud mining to realize that they're just bunch of rebranded HYIP so you could learning,sometimes experience takes so many thing from you before you can learn from it

Don't blame yourself, OP. I don't even understand how a prudent, well-thought-out business plan like this could possibly go wrong.
Maybe you should double down, borrow some more coin and this time, diversify into a few honest securities available right here on this forum?

its really happen when your new in this kind of bussiness. but keep it as experience not just only you who failed in joining this kind of bussiness many other people same as what happen to you or much worse than happen into you. as long as there is consumers who believe and this kind of bussiness its still continue to grow and many more people well get victim of it. just stop promoting those ponzi's  stop joining if they got more and more victim these kind of bussiness well still continue.

I feel for you OP but I lost coins also at what would be called "legitimate" cloud mining sites like cex. I bought hash and
watched it steadily go down for weeks until the light bulb clicked on and I realized ROI is impossible and soon my hash
would be worthless. I took a huge hit though. Cloud mining is all bad unless you get in early get roi and can sell and get
out imo.

firstly i feel so sorry for your lost, it's too bad when you used loan money for invest on cloudmining, now they're turned to scam, it's better not to invest on cloudming,alternatively i think mining altcoin might be a good choice like magi coin or others and then convert the mined coin to the bitcoin, it's pretty safe than invest on cloudmining or any hyip programs, just because mostly cloudmining turned to scam, it doesn't mean that all of cloudming is bad, hashnet in my opinion is good, the point is do research before invest.

I first learned to earn bitcoin from the users here in the forum and that i learned well about which businesses is shady enough to avoid. they've been around for years and never lost for investors though thats because at first they pay.

i am sorry to hear about your story. that is the story of many who come into bitcoin and think they can get rich quick overnight. and scammers are waiting for this chance to find people desperate for money and take their money out of their hands with a nicely designed website who promises big profit!

All cloud mining that exist and still running are also ponzi and just work in similar way how HYIP operates. They will exist till new investor putting their money into the system. Sorry for your loss, but i was quite amazed who have suggested you to invest in these cloud mining ponzis.

i am wondering what kind of research you did that you couldn't find out that cloudmining is a risky business. and i am not familiar with all the cloudminings you listed here but i know a couple of them and they have been evading providing any proof of reality of their business which means they had no hash power to mine with.

Even i also had invested few BTC on cloud mining sites and lost all bitcoin , it is an lesson that ponzi, hyip and cloud mining are risky sites where one should not invest , best is like getting small online job or joining signature campaign will be helpful and can have peaceful earning.

Thats why this is lesson for us must be learned and the one reliable source of info if we need something is all in here and so by that we must avoid cloudmining because all of them are ponzi-scheme theirs no such mining investment for today is legal running since difficulty of blocks are even more higher thats why anytime they could run and turn scam.

Quite a lot of people get a bad introduction to bitcoin walking straight into scams like that.  Nowadays i just take it for granted that all cloud mining sites are scams.  I did a little when i first started as well but now i don't do near them with a barge pole.

ill already know what well happen in to you in  fact its happen to me multiple times. but life still go on no need to be sad, and we should find other ways of earnings money  in bitcoin world and learn more in this forum. well im totally glad that i found this forum its very helpful in me.

They running a Ponzi system. but to believe with cloud mining for now it's a dangerous activity. with various offers their trying to lure all of the investors of bitcoins is want to invest the part of their amount into cloudmining. but I'm sorry for you to lose maybe for next time you will learn some experience from this cases.

I think why people still invest in cloud-mining sites is because they just want a passive income and don't work hard for it even if they already know here are other real ways to earn bitcoin. And i think all of us want that but it is not just the right thing to do. There is no such an easy way to earn bitcoin or real money.

I feel your pain, and also hate these site with a passion to kill. I have also been a victim of these guys and I would gladly contribute to a pool of money to track these people down <Paying hackers> and to get them convicted in their country of origin.

The thing is, in some of these countries these type of schemes are legal or the authorities see it as a low priority crime or they simply do not have the skills and the resources to track them down.

well i read a lot about the people being scammed on their bitcoins over time because they invest into ponzi websites, i wouldnt recommend doing that because it makes you only lose and never win

sadly cloudmining sites have taken many people's money over the years and it is not going to stop here. the next day there will be a new cloudmining site that is going to be advertised as the best thing until they run away just like the others before them.

Pretty much well said.  The OP have great plan but don't want to work it the hardway.  Don't misunderstand me, i  feel sorry for your lost but no one should be blame except you and the trap this ponzi sites offered you.  OP is in a hurry to get things done, so instead of working for his capital, he loan it, worst is he let other hand to manage it for him. And we see the result.  I hope any newbies who read this stuff will learn alot from his experience.  I do invested money to cloudmining but these are things that i can afford to lose without affecting anyone but myself.  And the people who operates this kind of stuff should be jailed too.

We have repeatedly warned people of cloud mining sites being all scams and poses high threat to your coins but some just do not even care and went on with it.
Well, we can also say that this is a lesson learned the hard way.

I hate to be honest but the thing is it simply does not surprise me that you almost lost all of your money. Cloud mining is very, very rarely a legitimate way to generate Bitcoin and more often than not there is a very minimal amount of value that can be gleaned from any contract owned by a cloud mining company if they are legit, and you'll be lucky to get money from your investment.

Maybe you'll be able to recover from everything, but that's a hefty loan you'll have to pay back. Best of luck.

I know how to mine bitcoins from my laptop and even set up a physical miner.
I figured if they had a public pool and appeared on the blockchain, that was proof enough. My mistake.

Also, I am under the impression that it is better to make $100,000 a year providing honest business, than a 1 time $1,000,000 and be running from the authorities. I am educated to understand that there is more money long term in repeat business and happy customers than in being a criminal.

I am shocked to see that the majority of businesses online do not understand this logic.
I am sure most of these criminals blow the excess money on drugs and prostitutes and are already broke by now, once again looking to scam their next victim.

I am 28 years young and not afraid to admit my naivety.
We live in a world filled with evil criminals, hooligans and thieves. I thought initially that the majority of people were GOOD by nature, but I was sadly mistaken. The vast majority of people must be evil.

I think we all had some bitcoin losses due to scams or stupid investment's,but we all need to go through it and hope that the next day,we will not make our mistake again.
You have to accept it buddy,i have lost a lot of btc due to scams too,you just have to be more careful.

You have a very bad luck, it also happened to me this scams really can turn your life upside down. My savings turn into debts in banks. I had to pay my debts and I spent 3 years just to pay those debts. Its really hard to earn bitcoins but when we become a veteran with it we can slowly earn what we lose. So in time you will earn more than what you lose in bitcoin just dont give up. In time you will rise like the others who are successful.

What can I say? Hm.. You go all the way through searching for every single cludmining legitimacy but you never came accross a thread where all cloud minings are all the same? They are all ponzi an I 've seen posts about it that's why I don't invest in such.

Everyone makes a mistake. You jut hae to learn from it.
Provably because they are wondering why you fell in those cloudmining bait.
That is somewhat false. It is not the cloudminings fault you lost your money. I is yours because you put your money in it.
No one will steal if No one will let them steal.
I agree they should not exist but what can we do? We don't control what other people  does on the internet.
I think somehow there are people who tried but never succeeded.
Because that is not their responsibility. Each persons money is their own responsibility. Your koney, you need to take care of it.
Their theives. All they care about is money. No concience. They only care about makin theirselves rich.

No worries OP it's happening to many of us, atleast every failed we made its give us a lesson to remember and give experience to us and do not do it again if you dont want  to failed again.

What happened to you is pretty shitty man but at least you learned something valuable from it.
Bitcoin is still very much like the wild west, it's a lawless world where scammers get to steal in broad daylight. Unfortunately, that's part of the price you pay for anonymity. If people had to verify their identities/addresses in order to be able to use Bitcoin, they would be a lot less tempted to steal/scam. Then there is the fact that not all of these companies are scammers, some are just poor strategists and get in over their heads without any fallback plans.

the only ponzi i got scamed it was PBmining, but then again i was got in early and what i lost it was from some portion of my profit i got from them! well shit happens..thats lame since i was getting from them a nice amount from them weekly but meehhh

I never made money on this cloud mining but I'm glad I found out early by some reddit posters how this cloud mining site are scamming people specially when a guy posted that cloud mining are for people who are bad in math it's not profitable at all ..

OP, why are you working for minimum wage?   Do you have any skills, like computer stuff that you could use to your advantage?   You sound like you're ambitious and are probably a hard worker,  so get above the poverty line and don't do cloud mining, and so much of what you find here as investment opportunities are just scams.  Be very careful from now on.
