Title: How you you want someone to prove they are Satoshi? Post by: Amitabh S on March 17, 2013, 11:11:54 AM If someone claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, what would constitute as proof?
-- post a message from Satoshi's account in this forum? -- sign a message from the genesis block public key? -- move around funds from several initial unspent outputs? Title: Re: How you you want someone to prove they are Satoshi? Post by: maxmint on March 17, 2013, 11:19:13 AM I guess spending some coins from the first block (http://blockchain.info/block-index/1/)should be enough proof.

There is a nice signing function in the client, no need to spend :)Title: Re: How you you want someone to prove they are Satoshi? (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Genesis_block)Quote from: Bitcoin Wiki The first 50BTC block reward went to address 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa, though this reward can't be spent due to a quirk in the way that the genesis block is expressed in the code (this may have been intentional). Wasn't Satoshi's account disabled after the CosbyCoin incident? |
