Abstract
Gcoin is the next generation of open-source digital currency. It is based on a mutually verifiable distributed ledger (the “blockchain”) that enables bottom-up participation in financial markets and remittance networks. Gcoin adopts permissioned blockchains and a multi-role structure and that allows it to closely model real-world systems. ‘G’ represents ‘Governance’ and ‘Global,’ with the former referring to permissioned blockchains. With permissioned blockchains, you can use smart contracts for customization and automation. Digital currency is therefore both flexible and convenient. The latter refers to permissionless blockchains, where transactions are open to the public and thus contribute to the trust-based aspect of digital currency. Through the implementation of the Gcoin system, traditional financial instruments can be integrated without introducing centralized intermediary risk, so the multi-role structure can meet a variety of business needs and be used for major national public projects. Powered by improved blockchain technology, the Gcoin system can better support high frequency trading and contract versatility. The Gcoin system is capable of supporting sophisticated financial market and e-commerce applications within a decentralized structure.

Running
https://github.com/OpenNetworking/gcoin-community/wiki#running

Place a configure file in ~/.gcoin/gcoin.conf with the following contents (you don't need to modify anything)

addnode=140.112.29.201:12321
addnode=54.254.159.145
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
Now, run the demand!

./src/gcoind -daemon
It would automatically synchronize the Gcoin test net blockchain. You should be able to use the RPC after runs the daemon. Here's a quick way to test:

./src/gcoin-cli getinfo

Conclusion
In the long run, we believe that decentralized ledger technology will become the industry standard for a robust trading infrastructure. Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and other Altcoins are inspiring innovation, and current technology may well be displaced by more advanced technology, as happened when MySpace was overtaken by Facebook’s growing momentum. By integrating value-based currencies into the Gcoin network and improving the blockchain to better suit the real needs of business, we believe that Gcoin represents the next generation distributed smart property platform that will support a wide range of applications in financial markets and the e-commerce industry, whilst working within a decentralized structure.

Signup on web wallet failed with "password too weak" error, even though the Confirm Password field was accepted.

I used a strong 24-character password.

The coin id Diqi in Chinese, I think the devs just chose Gcoin as the English name without doing their homework or really caring.

We build a alliance blockchain, named Gcoin.

new projects, https://github.com/OpenNetworking/gcoin-community

so it can't compare with the other one.

In this projects, total coin supply this thing is not important, because you can mint your token and fee (Gcoin as transaction fee in blockchain protocol)

what's the difference between the existing coin dev? can we determine which is which and how it will work might create confusion.

Can you provide more information?
Block reward? Premine? Algo? Who, where and how mine it?

Get your own addresses.
https://github.com/OpenNetworking/gcoin-community/wiki#get-your-own-addresses

First refill the keypool.

./src/gcoin-cli keypoolrefill 100
It would refill your keypool with 100 new keys derived from your key seed.

Then get the address.

./src/gcoin-cli getnewaddress
It would return a new address until your key pool is empty.

There is a fixed key in each wallet,

./src/gcoin-cli getfixedaddress
It would return the fixed key, which is using for authentication.

Hi Dev.  We all know that another GCOIN already exist way back 2014, and the dev of the original GCoin already posted  here.  Please be considerate and change your ticker to avoid  confusion to us, user / customer / client,. If this project take off, some supporter might be misleadto the other GCOIN instead to your GCOIN, or vice versa.  Please consider this possibility thank you.
