Title: Decred failures
Post by: raskill on July 07, 2016, 03:36:19 PM
How long has Decred been around now and they still haven't figured out how to make a windows wallet without all the command prompt crap. I heard these were experienced devs. Appears to me they got their following with a lot of untruths. But no matter how or why they came into existence it appears that if someone with good coding experience took over it could be a decent coin. Right now it's still a crap coin...

development reaches far beyond a GUI.

Have you developed on such a project type to make such critiques of their developer's work?

I see Decred as being one of the best "dark horse" cryptocurrencies that currently exists.

Regardless of the current lack of a GUI (of which there are two that are currently in development), the developers are top notch and there is a block subsidy earmarked for development purposes.

Good developers + funds to pay them + built in governance for shareholders to vote which developments are most important = it will eventually be a top notch cryptocurrency.

lol..

"no GUI so it sucks and dont worth nothing".
people really dont know what/how to invest... go buy some sh*t coin with a GUI if that's what measure a good project to you.

+1 Decred is one of  a kind and sustainable cryptocurrency to date.

Browser GUI wallet has been available since start : "https://wallet.decred.org/#/disclaimer" and hardware GUI is coming soon. Also imo Decred's cmdline-wallet is very simple to use and the seed-backup is brilliant, been watching project for months and developers have done very much work in short time.

So I should delete this post just like they do on their forums at the first sign of negativity. They also ban anyone that says anything not to their liking. Trying to cover up the truth is a great trait for the next great coin? So I am an idiot for using windows, lol. Is that all you got? The vast majority of would be miners are in the main stream using what OS? That's right! WINDOWS. Rig builders would choose a cheaper OS but true growth for the long term is not coming from that group, its coming from the masses. If this coin is to rise to the moon as they say, its past time to accommodate the masses. Which is my point. Nimrod.

No, you should delete because your reason doesnt make any sense. if found a failure in any coin, it will be welcome.

no FUD... that's not true.

See @Penttikuisma post. you have no point.

Anyone know where I can log into a BBS and play Tradewars? How about using gopher, Archie or Veronica so that I can find some kewl files? This Decred CLI is making me long for the good old days in 1993. Better go dust off my copies of Unix for Dummies and DOS for Dummies. :D

It seems that all you do is go around trash talking on multiple threads..... no one is going to take a Jr member scrub like you who clearly has no idea seriously. most including myself just laugh at your vein attempts to slur a project that's still in development.... Try to grow a few brain cells and not be such a trash talking scrub and see the bigger picture ^_^

the main question is: why? why would he do that?...
is he just an idiot? or another coin dev? or just a troll?

Does Monero have a GUI wallet? And for how long have they been around?

I encountered decred several months ago. I was really impressed by their aims, but after seeing their wallet I was immediately put off. It is clunky and very hard for most people to use. They should at least have some kind of web wallet.
Strange that many devs don't seem to realise how much more support they would get with a simple, easy to use wallet.
