I realized that a day from now will already be the halving :) I'm pretty excited I don't know about you, are you?
Please share your thoughts and feelings about the halving.. What are your plan of actions and expectations?

I am no longer excited at the coming halving. Im only excited at the price increase that will occur before and after the halvening. But the increase has laready happened so there is no more need to be excited. But Im still hoping that a sudden increase will come for the second time around to make this halvening more memorable to all of us bitcoin users.

I guess theres no big price will exist in the halving day, because the price right now decreased and its only two days before the halving day. But who knows because eventually in just an small amount of time there is big increase or big decrease. So in just 2 days expect the unexpected ;D

I think this is a great milestone for us and I would not expect anything drastic to happen on tomorrow itself. However, we can expect a gradual price increase due to the supply drop over the next year or so.

I'm excited about the fact that inflation will become lower for bitcoin. Sell pressure may be reduced a bit as a result, which is nice together with the increase in attention from non crypto people.

As far as price moves, I think we had most of those by now. If the price moves as a result of halving, it will more likely be down as a result of over buying in anticipation of the halving.

Looks like it will happen this Saturday, I'll be awake to see it happen!

I'm not even sure what to expect at this point, predicting the price is like predicting position and speed of an electron at the same time.
(Physics majors would know that's not possible, Heisenberg anyone?)

yeah price seems very hard to predict, even in heisenberg's principle either position alone or velocity alone can be measured, but with bitcoin we can't able to predict anything like will price go high, low or extreme low.

Ofcourse I am curious about what will happen. But like many others I don't know what to expect the price to do, double? Stay the same? I just don't have a clue. So I guess waiting and watching is the only thing we can do for now. I hope the price will double  ::)

Majority everyone made their opinions and always believe with this. believed if will getting a higher price when halving is coming. but they forget if no one can predict that. It's a price and relies upon the situation. can change at any time.

People have definitely over-hyped this event on the forums. There were too many threads about this, too soon. However, the event is certainly worth celebrating and nobody will be disappointed if they don't have (greedy) expectations (e.g. some are just interested in a potential price increase). I'll definitely (try to) celebrate somewhere. It is almost time to look forward to 2020. :D

It doesn't really matter that much IMO. Those people are just somewhat annoying and wasting the time of the readers. Random speculation is pointless.

I agree that people have expectations of something happening that is going to raise price to ridiculous levels.  I think after the halving if we manage to maintain a steady  600 to 700 dollars then we will be doing alright.  Expecting to go above 1000 is unrealistic to me, if we do it will be an artificial pump.

If bitcoin doesn't spike during the halving, that's good. Because there's no reason for it to. The price buildup to $700 was the effect of the halving. It will not hit $1000 anytime soon.

If bitcoin does spike, it's another big bubble. I'm gonna be out for a while.

I'm excited for the halving for two reasons - that awesome physical collectables raffle minerjomes is running, and that the price is expected to go up. Always nice when your stuff becomes more valuable (and I will have to send less bitcoin when buying from steam). The price staying stable would be good to.  I don't think it will affect me negatively out can, so it isn't a huge deal compared to other stuff.

Get ready for a disappointment.

In the past months i was excited but when i read some topic here about the incoming bitcoin halving it changed my mind because i realized that they right that most of the user's think that it's the perfect time to sell all their coins which is on the halving and if that happens it will result for a huge drop for the price :(. But i'm still hoping for that scenario that it would not happen.

Well I'm not in btc since so long so I got no idea of the real effect of havling!

The time to make huge profit has already passed, now bitcoin should reajust its value over the next moments, halving will take effect soon, this will make pressure into the big miners, but the new value of bitcoin its already amazing, atleast im very happy to see bitcoin worthing 600 dollars again.

So much pre-halvening hype. So many dreams of instant riches.

Probability of shattered hopes and post-halvening dumping: 100%.

My gut feeling is that the price will crash down to say $590USD after the havening, then up to maybe $620. Of course my "feeling" and a cup of coffee is worth exactly a cup of coffee.

My excitement about this coming halving is done and i wont expect much about the price either, the only thing
i can do for now is wait and see what will happen. expecting too much about the price will just lead to disappointment
if the price did not increase as they expected.

everybody in the bitcoin community is excited about bitcoin block halving without an exception, mostly because it is a new thing and also it changes a lot of things about bitcoin economy.

but i think right after halving with 1-2 days people are going to be dissapointed in the price because whales are controling it these days.

WE are all excited about the coming halving,and everyone predicts something else here hehe.
Lets just patiently wait,lets dont get over-excited by ourselves,what will happen we cannot know yet :)

Well I never was excited about bitcoin halving but i found it entertaining how speculators behave.  The current drop in Bitcoin price is somehow anti-climatic for these people LOL (killing thier hope of 2x - 3x value, blame those ICO that just finished)  Anyway it is still interesting to see how the price will react during this halving countdown.  Hope we see a spike of price soon!

i guess it might fall like 50-60$ freshly just after halving,because the people which were mining btc will probably dump
some coins to book profits,just to take their reward.But after that we can see a pretty nice spike i guess.

Exactly this. People are building up their expectations on unreasonable hopes for crazy price increase; while in reality we will most likely see only dump and not pump after the halving.
I mean we already have more than 15 millions of bitcoins mined. Supply is already here -  so there won't be increased demand created instantaneously after the block reward drop.
It will be longer process. We need time.

less than 24 hours again we will facing block halving but i'm not getting excited any longer because no increase for the prices and seems stuck may be because i was expect more before halving and if the prices not rise up i'm will be very disappointed

yes absolutely wright. i am agree with  you. if the price will increase gradually i am sure that it will be a permanent increase and will be very low chances of falling down. but if the price increase with a jump then it will be a temporary and the chances of the downfall of the bitcoin will also increase.

I remember anxiously waiting for the first halving... I could not have imagined such a progress in 4 years... wondering what next 4 will bring... cheers!

Yahoo! only 21.58 hours has been remained, I waiting for it impatiently and with the hope the the price increase of bitcoin will immediately start and we will get the profit which we are expecting from a few months.

I'm more excited about this than the EU referendum because I didn't think anything would happen with that, but now I know something big is coming our way with the halving with Bitcoin, plus I'll make money of this.

As I said many times, I don't care at all about fiat price. If that's high, nice, if that's low, too bad. Now I started to count in bitcoins. I'm excited because tomorrow will be lived a piece of history :) !

The halving block has happened, and price of bitcoin will going down slowly, and my plan  just sell bitcoin for fiat and trade alt coins, then price of bitcoin will big chrash on nov 2016 i guess if it happen i will buy bitcoin with all of my idle money.  ;D

Sure thing. Sell all your coin if that is your prediction no one will stop you. We have our own decisions here but I just hope you fid the right one. Because still many people are buying and holding

I like the post with spaceship countdown and the moon. It depends what price you consider moon, but most likely it going to be very long trip to the moon. But what are months or years to the patient ones ? I believe nothing if you see Bitcoin as the best crypto currency.

So the Bitcoin spaceship started already and only 25% of all Bitcoins left to be distributed to the miners, and in the next 4 years only 12.5% of all Bitcoins going to be distributed to the miners, I cant wait the next Bitcoin halving in four years.

I am not excited about this halving event because some Ponzi or HYIP sites nowadays are now scamming their members. After how many days, months and years, they still want to scam .. Thats why halving is the best time to stop all this ponzi websites and start to keep your BTC in your wallet. Just a tip for you.

With the Bitcoin price swinging between US$650 and US$680, i think price may increase and it is not the best time to sell all your coins.

Yes it will increase, the amount of increase though doesn't necessarily mean that it will double the current price and have some $1300 after the halving. I guess we can have some $900 at that time.

I was told not to sell my bitcoins before the halvening day, because the price will moon on the halvening day.

I don't care about the halving, For what important to me is to monitor the increasing value of bitcoins and when the price is slowly down its a good sign for me to buy little by little a few of bitcoins. though predicting sometimes its hard to do it, :)

That is right. Halving seems no affect at all to the price of bitcoin. In fact, the price of bitcoin is now going down compared to the time I posted this thread. What I am thinking now is that bitcoin can really stand amidst any circumstances. Hence, bitcoin price will surely rise sooner or later, just my own opinion..
