Has anyone here used Electrum? Thoughts?

I use it, and haven't had any issues with it.  It doesn't download the blockchain all the time, which is nice ;D  Especially if you have a data transfer limit.

I started out with the original client and wasn't too crazy about it downloading the entire blockchain so I gave Electrum a shot and love it.  I am using version 1.6.2 on Windows and not the latest 1.7 version until a few of the bugs are worked out.

But overall I recommend it.

Electrum is awesome. It's a perfect "light" version of Bitcoin, ideal for mobile devices. I use electrum on my laptop because I'm typically tethered to my phone which is a metered connection.

Electrum is a must for me. Easy to use, you don't have to download the blockchain, haven't had any issues with it yet. How much better can it get?

Cool. I've been thinking of trying it out. Do you guys know if it's as secure as the alternatives?

AFAIK it is, as long as you're taking proper precautions described in the stickied threads here.  Armory is a good choice if you want absolute control, but, Electrum is safe enough as well.  If you're really crazy about security, Electrum should be able to help you out with a paper wallet...
