Last November 2015 we have witness a big surge on bitcoins monetary value. This 2016 many have awaited for the increase during the halving but the increase had happened months before halving and that is last june, 2016. Technical experts have said that there will be more breakout to happen. So let us roll out our ideas as to when will the next breakout be.

So what are your guess?

My guess is that it will take a few months for the effect of reward halving to be felt. Current stable price is healthy and should continue for the coming weeks. Any sudden increase in price will most likely cause by pump and dump...

I don't think this year we won't experience steep increase similar to that happened few weeks back. Gradual increase might continue to keep the price high and profitable.

first of all move your topic to speculation board because it belongs there. secondly, we don't see the future to tell you when it is going to happen.

a breakout may very well never happen and this stable price will slow rises over time (like $50/per month) can keep on happening for the following months.

This is also what I believe that the increase of bitcoin price should be slowlỵ. I hope that we will be surprise by year end that the significant increased we will witness. You maybe correct that the suđden increased is caused by speculation,panic buying because of the halving,chinese buyers etc. In the end,we are still hopefull that the price will continue to increase.

My guess is next January. My computation is every seven months. Last november I counted seven months then on the seventh month June 2016 the increase happened. The next breakout that I am seeing is after another seven months and that is on January of the year 2017. I am predicting another 50% price increase on bitcoins or more. I am already preparing my satoshis for the next event.

My guess is before end of this year the price will rise again I think month of November or December it will happen  well just wait and see  what it's going to happen on the price of bitcoin.

I am not one who's rooting for the price to increase right away. Let it stay in its present range for a while. If it can go lower than $600, better for those waiting for another buying opportunity. People put too much hype on the immediate effect of halving, that is why there must be some disappointment when they didn't see the price shoot to the moon.

my guess is that the next rise will happen in at least a month after now meaning maybe at the end of July after this period of slow and boring market then there will be exciting rises afterwards.

Since im not a whale or a bitch whale or somethin like that cant predict it!
But if europe falls apart and more members leave.. then i think we got a better chance to bitcoin to go crazy, because maybe the politicians break their bounds between other europian countrys, but the people dont care about that and also dont like the price difference between their countrys. So bitcoin would used even more, and ppl will need it further more..time will show..

I'm going to go for sometime in October for the next biggest pump.  Price should start steady with small dips up until then,  and then a pump upto about 750 800. Pure speculation obviously but you never know.

Yeah the last rise was crazy because the price was rising so fast, but I do think that it is going to happen.
I want to see the price after the halving because that is going to decide what I am going to do next.

I'm not really sure because the price seem to stay at 600 USD even after the halving. However I feel that the price will move again sometime later this year. Not my feeling. I mean ... there is more coverage of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in my local news nowadays.

next break out will be once chart has drown a figure chart pattern than will be validated once it breaks upwards or downwards. this happened already twice with big triangle size and a lot more on lower time frame ...

I think it will happen on the last quarter of this year or early next year. I believe that bitcoin price movement after halving takes some time to increase that much. The effect isn't instant imo. On the other side, it's still a good thing that the price stays at $600 and up. Small amount of increase every day, week or month is not bad :)

May be before November or after November this year also bitcoin price may get pumped. November seems really a lucky month for bitcoin  ;D

end of the year maybe but i can't see much on the horizon that's gonna fuel it. we might be in for a surprise with etf news sooner than we expect. even then who knows what effect it would have? it might be a slow burn like all the other good news.

we still have a few months to reach the end of the year. and halving not give meaningful effect on the price. thus increasing the potential is still high. but it will not rise high and no more than $900

I've always expected the price to start showing the effect of the halving by October~November and get to around $800. Many thought the same too before they got distracted by the pump. After the price increased before the halving some have begin to speculate that it will break $800 much faster.

I guess that the next breakout in bitcoin price can be the last month of this year, if in November of 2012 was the halving then there were some months to see the halving effect so we need to wait until the end of this year or beginning of the 2017.

Depends also on some new developments finally coming to fruition.  The COIN ETF should be decided on by around mid-August, thus launching after that on the BATS exchange - that's a big deal.  This other ETF filing to be on NYSE is a big deal also, insured, etc.  These will drive in some major institutional funds as levels we haven't seen before.

Along with those, agree that the halving won't show any effect here for a while so sideways consolidation is good for now until the above items occur...

yeah the end of this month looks really promising for me, i think we might hit a new all time high pretty soon because people will be buying a lot of bitcoins really fast

even though we still not see big pumped after halving but i think there is a chance for bitcoin prices to rise up and in my thought next breakout will be happened at december 2016 but may be the prices will not increase with pretty fast and next peak after those breakout is $800

Chart looks (to me!) like big pattern til Nov-Jan time-frame before big breakout.
Stay in range 650-750 until then. Possible dips below this channel.
The longer it stays in a tight range..(so, stays in the triangle) the bigger the eventual breakout will be.

The triangle from Nov '15 - Apr '16 could be repeated at this level ~650 range. This would give us til Nov-Jan like i said above.

Or it could happen any minute, who knows?!

If Nov-Jan target is right... just keep buying what you can afford every week..10,20,50, 150..whatever. If I'm right about the range.. you won't see too much slippage just market buying on a weekly basis. 15-20 weeks IMO.

it can be anytime in a few months or a few days. bitcoin is always unpredictable. majority was hoping that halving will bring a big breakout but nothing happened. but a few days before the halving the price was 780$ max. which was not expected. i suggest you to keep holding and wait for the right day. thats all i can say.

I think for this month or even in next moth bitcoins price well remain stable and he way i see for the price now possibly their will be a surge happen in future since we can see slow rise eventhough  the halving has been done, and really we can see a surprise price pump in next month since bitcoins have many adoption for this month.

That is true. I think the price will trade between $600 to $750 for 3 to 5 months before it move up again.

Really hard to predict the price, I think next breakout will occur only after price reach $1000 still then the price will remain stable and rise slowly.
Even if a drop occurs before it won't affect the price much.

Before the last big jump in May and June, the price stay around the $400 range for 5 months, so next one will also be in 5 months.

If there is a good jump after 3 to 5 months of consolidation, the price could be in the $900 to 1200 range.

If we're talking about a real potential breakout, then I am more concentrating on the months October and November. Doesn't mean it will really happen, but these months are mostly good for traders looking for volatility.

The bitcoin price is consolidating after the recent big rise. November is 4 months away from now, that will be a good period.

I think things are going to be quiet since the halving is over. We may see a gradual increase but not a big jump until maybe next year.

Towards Christmas would be my guess, that's a good few months after the halving and hopefully something big will happen to take bitcoin further into being adopted by more people, as long as it is steady it will look like a legit investment and should bring more serious investors along.

But let me make a wild guess.
I'd say anytime at the end of this year.Probably december or so.
And I hope it's going to be a run close to the old ATH.Would be a great finish for 2016.

Till the next halving there is no upcoming special events, possibly for this reason bitcoin experiences gradual increase and not steep increase similar to that happened during the weeks before halving.

Couple months after halving, that means from October to December. Until then I would like bitcoin to hold this price, and then we can expect price to go up.
At least that was like that 4 years ago, so maybe history will repeat and we will see same thing. Price went up and we saw bitcoin highest price until now, I wish to see tow record, and in my opinion that would be perfect timing.
We all agree bitcoin is still cheap, and price will go up in future, so little by little bitcoin is being adopted on many places so I will not be surprised when price go up.

I think the next break out will be in September or October or when the bitcoin block size capacity is increased.

Although there is a breakout building pressure in the chart, there is not yet any sign for that. May be the breakout direction could follow a past trend, I think the next breakout is not before reaching $1000.

I think it will take a few more months for the bitcoin to consolidate the price before the price rise again.

good analysis and people has talking about this before halving dates that the prices will rise up or going to the moon after halving but in the fact the prices looks boring for me and honestly with the current prices i can not take benefit from my trading activities because no big dump or big pump

I don't have an idea about what kind of "breakout" will happen in one of these days or should I say "in the future". What Im doing is taking closely the price monitoring in daily basis since there are unexpected scenarios.

Im making sure that I can ride every possible trend that will happen in bitcoin price. No rooms for regrets in me, that's my policy since then.

every breakout needs a long period of stability before it so that everybody who is in on it fill their wallets with enough bitcoin before the rise happens.

this has always been happening in bitcoin and in every other market, the time may sometimes be shorter and sometimes be longer but the charts will always look the same.

In bitcoin, when someone mentions "stability", it means stagnation and sliding down. The best thing to do in times of "stability" is to short it until a clear bull run starts, probably not until Nov/Dec this year.

I would describe the current price action to be stable. it is very good for the mass adoption of the bitcoin.
