At this point of time there are many cryptocurrencies that have appeared after the success that bitoin has shown to the whole world. Many copy cats are making their own coins which seem to look like bitcoin but with different feature.

Last july 11, 2016 an article was released saying that Belgium has warned investors against the use of Onecoin. According to Authorities Onecoin maybe a Ponzi Scheme since the funds and sources are questionable. Onecoin and its organizers have been receiving negative feedbacks due to this issue.

At this case, I will presume that the only trusted coin is bitcoin. What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree with me?

I think bitcoin is currently the most useful cryptocurrency due to the network effect. Other alt-coins are lagging behind due to lack of users and insufficient developer backing.

At the moment, bitcoin has been shown to overcome challenges and issues, and has been the most advanced and well tested. Alt-coin are only followers.

I think bitcoin is a pioneer of digital currency. when asked about confidence then I think bitcoin have it.
the level of trust people to bitcoin is already very high.

More and more users trust and continues adopting bitcoin because of its increased growing potential. Also no other digital currency had grown to such a big price or survived long as bitcoin.

I am sorry, but I can not agree with this.  There are a number of coins that showed up for one specific purpose and these coins are very useful for those purposes.  There are also some bad coins, but there are a number of stable coins, just not as many trusted as much as Bitcoin.

I still have another cryptocurrency that i trust it, its called dogecoins. I trust it and still use it cause it has fast transaction also only take 1 doge as fee it less than 50 sat

all of the altcoins fall under the pump and dump scheme and it is not only limited to onecoin. and this is not for recently as you say in your first post, this has always been this way right from the start. bitcoin have also been affected by this but because bitcoin is also used as a currency and it is more than just a coin and also has a bigger community that part is faded away over time.

Yes, bitcoins history record and positive feedbacks since 2009 is highly being considered by many. As long as survival rate bitcoin offer the highest survival rate compared to other cryptocurrency. I will definitely chose bitcoin over other virtual currency. I believe that other cryptocurrencies will go down and bitcoin will be the one left standing.

Shall we say, the Bitcoin or BTC is the mother of all cryptocurrencỵ Some are copied from bitcoin source, though there are others who are different from btc but  still iys the btc that gives them ideas.As long as there are many people supporting bitcoin,we can trust it.

Not only bitcoin is the trusted cryptocurrency there are many coin which is trusted too but bitcoin is the number 1 coin and you can do many things in bitcoin that altcoin can not do. That is why more people using bitcoin than other cryptocurrency.

Not just bitcoin or doge, at this time there is some trusted cryptocurrency. in your point. doge, it's has a fast transaction and what means of this. all of the cryptocurrency is same. you said if doge just taking a little fee, the fee is adjusted to the value of the coin.

Wow this is shocking news. I am planning to buy some onecoins but seeing and reading the article changed my mind. I would rather spent it on bitcoins rather than on onecoin. I will also warn my colleagues who invited me to join onecoin before its too late. I will encouraged them to exchange their onecoin to bitcoin so their fund will be more safe.

The reason which is extremely difficult for any altcoin to gain a larger share of the market than Bitcoin is the reality that Bitcoin’s much larger market cap what allows it to hold onto that top spot. it is important to remember the power of Bitcoin’s position as the first cryptocurrency gives people more trust than any other cryptocurrencies.

i am agree that bitcoin the only trusted cryptocurrency beside of bitcoin giving us profit. bitcoin will be the new evolution of fiat money.

The only crypto I would feel comfortable in is bitcoin and maybe a small amount of litecoin.  I just dont have a need for the other coins or to take the risk but I know there is some
good alt coins that actually have a purpose but still gotta agree with the basic sentiment that I only trust btc to have any decent amount of money invested in.

bitcoin not trusted much it also have big risk when u do trade otherwise bitcoin is the best wallet.. use desktop wallet u never be face scamming or hack..... !

ye i am also agree with this statement. you can see that the a large number of people are entering in bitcoin and they are investing their money in bitcoin. and that is the reason that bitcoin is still in number one as compare to other crypto currencies.

Bitcoin is one of the most trusted cryptocurrency, I am pretty sure there is none would be trusted like this, there is so many reason which make it most trusted because it has more bigger community and winder adoption than other cryptocurrencies.

I totally agree with you. Bitcoin is the most trusted crypto since it has the highest price exchange in usd compared to other coins then it's also famous because these coin is spreading throughout the globe and becoming popular for which some merchants is already accepting Bitcoin as payment exchange to their stuffs.

Every now and then when bitcoin starts slipping back in price or some competitor coin start rising up through the ranks i start to worry a bit and almost lose interest in bitcoin but then afterwords it always comes back strong as ever. I used to split my bitcoin across various altcoins but now ive learned that bitcoin was and still is the safest option.

bitcoin has always been the best cryptocurrency there is from the start and all these altcoins that are claiming to be the replacement of bitcoin are just wasting their breath. i mean there are many good altcoin projects out there but they are not gonna replace bitcoin.
bitcoin has been around for a longer time and if there was a bug it would have came out a long time ago and gotten fixed.

I think Bitcoin is the most trusted cryptoccurency as of today.  Aside from Bitcoin, there are other cryptocurrency that is  popular and trusted by its community.  We can't state that Bitcoin is the only trusted one :D.  As per argument and reasons, bitcoin is not trusted by some country, even warning people on joining or using it.  Same goes with the less popular Cryptocurrency.  Our only basis is it's users and adopters, which other cryptocurrency also have.

BTC is the crypto reserve currency of choice, so you should punt other cryptos for upside but aim to hold your winnings in BTC

It's possible to make your desktop wallet got hacked , some people send e-mail about phising and malware link.
And you click that site maybe contains malware or keylogger . And your wallet will got hacked and your fund got drained.

Yes i guess bitcoin is the most trusted cryptocurrency because of the growing number of users and the popularity of it. since bitcoin was the first, the most well known and hence has the most network effect. and i believe that soon it will be widely accepted.

Trusted by whom? Altcoins are trusted by (at least part of) their supporters as well. The main difference compared to Bitcoin is the much smaller number of people that trust in these altcoins.

It is correct that altcoins are generally viewed with more skepticism, because there have been a large number of premine and other scams related to them. However there are also serious contenders among them. The reason that even these coins fail to gain prominence is not related to trust issues. The primary reason is that Bitcoin is simply too dominant to allow for the existence of equally important altcoins. The network effect of Bitcoin as a first mover draws in all resources in terms of developer talent, liquidity, and market acceptance. Even for perfectly sincere new altcoins it is extremely difficult to withstand this effect and grow longer term.

Your statement is partially true but not completely. Bitcoin is definitely a trusted crypto currency, but it is not the only one. People believe in bitcoin because it is the pioneer in crypto currency world.

But there are some more crypto currencies, you can put your trust in. Like litecoin, dash, monero etc. Yes, they have copied the concept of bitcoin of  being an internet money. But they also have a strong follower base and their market cap is also high.

bitcoin itself is very trusted . example when we buy bitcoin then just hold, it is really very safe. but if you make an investment or trade, it could be said to be not so safe. some examples such mt.gox. just third party from bitcoin always make it unsafe.

Bitcoin is unique and will always be the one and only king of all cryptocurrencies. Not because it is totally the most technically sophisticated coin - because most likely it is not.
But because no other coin could ever achieve something, bitcoin has - absolutely perfect initial distribution of coins.
Initially bitcoin was unknown, worth nothing invention, and no one expected it to be that huge. With new altcoins people are hoping that bitcoin scenario will repeated - but they are wrong.

Bitcoin is trusted by the most people and that's what really counts. Exponential trust is just as important as growth. I think the window for the 'Bitcoin killer' is closing within the next few years, not that it was ever really open in the first place.

That's true investing fiat in bitcoin is very safe, as it can give you good profits in future only by simply holding it for a long term, bitcoin needs support and trust from the people to grow better in future.

There are people who haven't even heard of Bitcoin who wouldn't trust it because it's an unknown to them. Other people have heard of Bitcoin but know nothing about it, and don't know that altcoins exist.

In this community Bitcoin generally has the most trust, and the altcoins have progressively less trust as their market caps get progressively smaller.

Onecoin is scam coin and ponzi scheme,80% of alts are hype coins,but there are few what are already long time on market and thay are doing well,so there is not only bitcoin

Yes, but bitcoin isn't only trusted cryptocurrency, it's most trusted cryptocurrency. The main reason of it's popularity is that it's first. Almost every first released innovation idea is most trusted and popular. For example why is fb popular? Becouse it's almost first, I can say the same about amazon and google and etc.

What are you talking about? Facebook wasn't the first social network at all. About social networks - do you remember Friendster or most notable - MySpace?
Same thing with Google it wasn't the first or even 5th search engine! - how old are you? Before google we had: Infoseek, Altavista, Yahoo, HotBot, LookSmart etc. and many more.

And word of clarification here - companies are not the same entities as monetary systems - such as BTC at all. You can't compare them directly.

But my goverment still not trusted on bitcoin because bitcoin as they said can be use for terorism activity. And the fact is my country, my people mental are easily being instigated by ISIS so my goverment take a wise action to make bitcoin still not legal at my place

bitcoin is definitely the first, the largest and the most using crypto currency. but it is not only trusted cryptocurrency. there are lots of crypto currency available and they are working for quit long time..
like dogecoin, litecoin, dash, peercoin. lisk. etc.

desktop wallets are also not save. if you loose your software or hardware. then you can also loose your bitcoins. but loosing some coins doesn't prove bitcoin is not trusted.

I think there is no need of any copy cat of bitcoin if they are not providing any additional feature that bitcoin don't have. Specific country based coins can bloom within one country however those coins are not really a decentralized one and government may find it just another ponzi scheme. But if every country start legalizing bitcoin to fiat and fiat to bitcoin exchange than these types of coin will not have any space there.

Yes, this is the only trusted currency in cryptocurrency world. There are some other cryptocurrencies there, but no one will give competition to this Bitcoin. This is very user-friendly currency. But why our government is not allowing this currency as legal I don't know the exact reason. People say because of no tax they are not accepting. But I agree 100% that Bitcoin is the most trustable cryptocurrency.

No one other than shareholders and employees had any stake in the success of all the dead sites that have gone before. All they had to do was click elsewhere to the latest sensation.

It's the polar opposite for crypto so something tumultuous would have to happen for Bitcoin to be usurped. It's still early enough in the game to be possible but grows ever more unlikely for each day that it's above ground.

There's a lot of user of Bitcoins compared to other cryptocurrency. Other cryptocurrency lasts for only a few months and after that they are forgotten like a trend, here today gone tomorrow. Much better if developers will only concentrate on developing Bitcoin and help make this mainstream rather than create alt coins.

There a more trusted cryptocurrency that can compare to bitcoin but bitcoin still number one in digital currency because bitcoin can use in every thing which some cryptocurrency can not offer that. Bitcoin is trusted but not means you need to put all your money in bitcoin to earn a lot of money there are possibility to disappear but we need to believe it will go last.

Bitcoin is byfar the most superior among all the crypto coins since bitcoin is far ahead in advancements.
It also already has been adopted and integrated by major companies such as Microsoft, Samsung, Steam, and many others.
This only proves the fact that bitcoin is yet the best and only trusted crypto.
