I put in lots of work, share original ideas, art and music. But because I dont have boobs and flatter the Steemit devs, my 20 upvotes are only worth 2 Steam Pennies because those votes came from lowly peasants such as myself. Chicks get a dollar per upvote because a lot of rich crypto guys (steemit royalty) still cant get laid. Yes. Im jealous!

This very well could be the big ideological flaw which fails Steem.  A very small group of people / developers control all the Steem Power and will only upvote stuff they like.

So the frontpage of Steem is always going to be Bitshares shill posts and, because the developers can't get laid, the occasional bumpage of a woman showing cleavage.   :D

Stereotyping the worst of the cryptocurrency and you seriously think people will leave Reddit for Bitshares Pravda?  ???

Correct, but they have the first mover advantage now, so your "STEEM clone" will always just be that....

A STEEM clone. Copy cat clone with zero originality.

Zero originality? Is that like what happened to Pepsi or Android?

Not to mention that when people clone things, they generally fix something or try something new. Tremendous value in that.

If anyone is interested in cloning Steem or repurposing the core, please email me at brianedco@gmail.com

Cheers

There are things which can be fixed, like either more fairly distributing upvoting power or at least ensuring the new group of whales aren't upvoting boobs.  :D

Oh, you are going to improve upon the BitShares/Graphene 3 second block times?

Or maybe you are going to improve the scalability (Transaction Per Second capability) of Graphene.

Yes.

Sweet, good luck, maybe a post on steemit.com will net you some funding

If he got boobs maybe?  ;D Well, I think this is proof that developers of that website are all men. I hope there is one woman who can stop them from doing all this shit! Well, thanks to this issue also they are getting more advertisement and becoming popular.

Maybe it is some kind of marketing strategy?  ;D

Thank you. I will continue to support Steemit as well.

Competition is good. If I can copy from them, they can also copy from me. There is nothing wrong with trying to innovate while still supporting the other platform.

exactly this.
as long as there is an awesome community like reddit nobody will leave it to go to a clone with similar features to do the same stuff and the only people that will ever go there, they do it to get paid and the payment was good in the beginning to bring more but as it goes down so the visitors.

besides don't you remember voat?
there was some drama with reddit a while back that helped this new project called voat get a lot of popularity but now you don't hear about it anymore. and everything is back to high on reddit.

Steemit is a blogging site, not citation discussion site. Different features than Reddit

Does Reddit even support markdown and embedded images?

Steemit is more about posting content and less about discussion. Reddit is more about discussion of existing content or current events.
