now halving is done, but the price not touch $1000
what do you think ? Bitcoin will reach $1000 again or not ?

Yeah of course Bitcoin is going to reach $1000 some day again and I think that it is still possible for it to reach $1000 at the end of this year.
If that does not happen then I am sure that it is going to happen in 2017.

Yes, definitely, $1000 will be done within 6 months. Everything is looking good for bitcoin and its market cap is likely to appreciate.

I guess the price of bitcoin, will be $ 1,000 immediately. Well, I think we need halvig once again so that the price goes up with such a high. although it will be many people who will sell bitcoin, but I guess time will come bitcoin prices stabilized at $ 1000 price

Too many people expect $1000, which means it won't get to the level. Don't you know the whales and early hoarders are chomping at their bits to unload their bags if it goes to $1000 again?

Not. Bitcoin is in a down trend. And all the bugs and problems are now well known and not solvable. It will take some time, but eventually value will approach zero. See clear evidence of this by doing an analysis.

There was so big confusion in the mind of people about the halving, when it will be price will be skyrocket and it will cross the $1000 very quickly, this is very good sign and moving with positive approach to the new milestone, I think before end of this quarter will be above $1000 for sure.

Yeah slow n steady wins the race, its good to see bitcoin moving higher slowly, and it may go beyond $1k in this year, the only thing we need to have some patience till then.

if asked about going to reach $1000 or not. I'm sure it would have reached $1,000. but it will take a long time. but the right time I believe will reach $1,000 was in 2020 when halving will happen again. but I always hope it comes sooner, as in 2017, due to the effect of halving this year has not been felt, and perhaps 2017 will feel the effect of halving.

I think we don't have to wait for next year to see the price of $1k, it will be achieved in this year as it is predicted that price will touch $1k in next few months.

It will take some time for market to get real movement due to limited supply per block as all bitcoins currently in supply also affects the market. But i am quite sure price can move up again maybe even we will see new ATH after this year or within this year.

No one can predict bitcoin price.Everyone has different prediction but maybe bitcoin will hit $2k next year.I think bitcoin price will stay same for at least 1 more year or so.Who knows? my prediction can be wrong or right.I always like to hold bitcoin though.I think there 3 things that can be happen with bitcoin.

1.Bitcoin will rise up to $1200 again.
2.Stay same price till end of this year.
3.Price went down to $300-$400 range.

As i said no one can predict what will happen in future.But we always hope better with bitcoin.

If the next price rise is also with in 2016 then you can safely say that the price will be $1000 in 2016.

It seems to me that we can reach a $1000 this year but when it is going to happen I do not know because it can happen at anytime.
It can happen after the halving but it can also be that we have to wait until the end of 2016.

isn't  $200 a support and then the $400 was also the next support level and this time its the $600. I think $800 will be the next support.
This is just how i see it though.

Half a year ago it was struggling to stay above $400 and today it's $660. Half a year ago people were saying it would crash to $300 but it went up. In another half a year it will probably go above $800 but it won't happen overnight. Eventually it will go above $1000 in the long term.

Bitcoin definitely has an potential to achieve that price in future, its increasing slowly at a moment, so I think $1k price can be achieved in this year.

Bitcoin will reach 1000 $ before new year. Halving is behind us and if we see same situation like 4 years ago, we can expect price to start rising somewhere in october. I saw that some people here hold coins for that, and their advice is to not sell yet.
I think history will be repeated, that is feeling I have and I will go with it. I think bitcoin have possibility to cost most more then now, and eventually it will.

Its not going to skip $800, it might not be possible unless there is something significant that devs had been doing and its being released. But no.

I agree completely! Bitcoin went up a lot after the first halving. I don't expect that much after the second halving, because there are more Bitcoins now, and the percentage added with each new block was lower already, but $1000+ this year is very possible.

I can of course be wrong, it can also go down to $50. But I think $2000 is more likely than $50, so that's where I put my money :)

I think we will see that price of bitcoin this following months im not sure but if bitcoin will be in demand again just like before halving in chinese trading exchange bitcoin is in demand.. so now if bitcoin will be in demand expect for fast movement of the price and we will see the 1k value.

looking in your perspective might be possible that bitcoin will rise over and over even after halving but reaching 1k $ i think it wont happen this year maybe we needed more time and i'm positive that bitcoin will reach that price as many people know already aware about it, let see and hold our coin.

The chances of $1000 this year are increasing exponentially every day that Bitcoin wakes up above 500 dollars, and it seems we are still going. Look at at the all time graph, we have only gone up since january 2015.. it seems people forget about this.

And yes, we will reach $1000 and way more, it's impossible that we don't. Bitcoin is tiny, it's only the beginning.

Exactly, still a very long way to go, and $1k is not difficult to achieve now and we will see this price very soon and that is the reason I am holing my coins tightly.

I think people are still waiting for price dump thats why investors are still not buying bitcoin right now because they thinking that bitcoin price will still crash and they are timing that they can buy cheap price of bitcoin.. if we are also tightly holsing bitcoin bitcoin will never change instead the price will gradually increase according to supply and demand.

Yeah I am holding my coins too since a long time, but I do sell sometimes when I see higher price and if I am in need of money, as only holding will not help the price of bitcoin to go higher in future.

it will go over 1000 for sure by end of year i dont think it will be for the halving but you can predict exact date for price
also dont think that price will go below 600 after halving there is no need for it

I think this year is the perfect time to see the price of bitcoin into $ 1000 and perhaps more. I also was prepared on it. some even say that the price of bitcoin will return rose to $ 1,000 before the end of the year. Well, the truth is not yet proven, but I also felt the same way, that the price of bitcoin will actually reach the price of $ 1,000 this year

We are optimistic that bitcoin will reach again $1,000 because since it happened in the past (history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_bitcoin) as we see it wasn't too long and the price crashed, now bitcoin price is not far from $1k so probably at end of the year the price will go up again.

Yes the price will reach to $1000 once again and will continue to increase more higher, more people are of the opinion that now is the stability and it is hard for the price to rise but the reality is that the price will increase in the coming months.

I am also convinced that the bitcoin price will achieve that level sooner or later, but I don't think we will see that price during this 2016. But well, we all know that this altcoin market is really unpredictable and everything can happen.

it surely will reach $1000, but it can take two different routs.

1) is the slow rise to the $1000+ which can take up to the end of the year and the start of next year.

2) is a big rise that can cause a bubble so fast and then take some steps back and slow the overall rise down.

Fundamental has changed, there is main stream people accept Bitcoin as a alternative investment, something like Gold, not correlated to stock market.
With two or three ETF investing in Bitcoin seeking SEC approval, I think price will rocky down the road.

you can never predict these things 100% there is always a big room for error when speculating about bitcoin. but i think it is possible and the possibility is actually high to reach $1000 again and as we speak the big whales have been accumulating bitcoin for a couple of weeks and that is always a good sign for the rise.

Of course Bitcoin is going to reach $1000 again some day and I even believe it is going to happen sooner then later because we are not even that far away from it.
It can happen this year as well maybe after the halving, we just have ti wait it out.

I am pretty sure bitcoin has pretty good chance to surpass $1000 mark before end of this year, as market is moving very positive from last few months, another plus point is that price is very stable above $600 and it will start rising to the next level with some great news.

of course there is a chance that the price will reach $1000 again, maybe months from now, or before the 2017 enters. Actually, I think that the effect of bitcoin won't be felt immediately. Not to mention that last december the price also increase, so most probably this december, price might still increase.

Yeah majority of users will be satisfied with current price as its not too low to have this price and price will surely go higher coming months and will show us ATH.

obviously, bitcoin will back to touch $1,000, although I think it will take a long time, probably further halving could reach $1,000. I am optimistic!

Next halving is in approximately four years.
If people are still using BTC as one of the main forms of cryptocurrency I'm sure it would be at $1000 by then.
Hopefully if other coins come into use Bitcoin doesn't fall out of favor.

Congratulations to you too. If you have bought from after you have made this post im sure you got some good sum of profit now especially if you invested big way back you posted this. For me though I have not invested that big sum of a money so I only earn little when price got up to 1000$ I just hope that it will be stable at 1000$ until July again this year.

I have not lost a good year in 2016, but I did not have a winner. I have entered this year by missing opportunities, and I will not lose a lot of amount.

Indeed, so the speculation comment that were replied here is not pure speculation at all.  Since almost all replies said that Bitcoin will reach $1000 and inded Bitcoin is stable at $1000 today has some basis and reason which is proven true.  The adoption, the new funds, the rarity of BTC and I guess it will still continue, I guess the next stop would be $1500 or $2000 at the end of this year :)

There is no telling what will be the result of PBoC's investigation. Chinese government might declare bitcoin to be illegal.
I know this is speculation and the worst outcome, but seeing how there seems to be never ending 'investigation' going on in China I am not that sure they will let bitcoin off the hook this time.

It is beautiful to look at old threads like this that considered not reaching $1000 ever again a possibility. It shows how bitcoin keep proving all the pessimists wrong. We will keep breaking records. Bitcoin will never be stopped. No matter how many bans and big attacks happen, the community is too strong. We will reach at 1 million reddit subscribers and we will reach $10000, we cant be stopped.

You are right. Bitcoin has faced multiple challenges since its beginnings and despite all pessimistic forecasts it is alive and stronger than ever. And this current vitality should be enough to increase our trust in this bitcoin ecosystem and rely in a promissory future.

What is it that you are happy about? you all should know bitcoin's price going up and up every month and every year in inevitable and I'm predicting the price above $1800 before 2017 is over.

I think it will hard to achieve that price by the end of the year but there is full possibility that we will see the price of $1500 by the end of the year as demand of bitcoin is increasing so we can expect that price in coming months.

we never know what will happen in the future, because bitcoin always gives a tremendous surprise, and of course the price could reach over 1800 at the end of the year, perhaps even would be $ 2,000. bitcoin trust, and you will have fun.

When you are believing in bitcoin's tremendous surprise capability, it would be highly possible bitcoin will reach $10k price levels before the end of this year. Because we cannot expect all the time a linear type growth for bitcoin prices. It usually will grow in percentage hence it will not take same time how it had reached $1000 levels.

What is so magical about holding 20 bitcoins? Even those holding larger number of bitcoins are trying to accumulate at the dips.
Even if you have made paper profits, you try to buy some more bitcoins and maximize your gain.

If bitcoin price supposedly rises only due to the demand from people then it would create a bubble because holders refuse to sell at the current market price and start to put up higher and higher sell walls, remember whenever price goes up more mining farms pops up here and there and that is a good thing because difficulty increases and it sustains and thickens the layers of the bubble and makes it the floor.
In the market when bubbles appear if there is no structure(growing interest and support+real demand)it will collapse after people seeing there is no real use for what they've bought at those prices, but with bitcoin they will see that mining them has a really high cost so it becomes a new floor like a building and more costly mining operations means a stronger foundation.

Yes, we are now stabilizing at $1000 for these several weeks passed by and it will not just reach $1000 again but it will maybe reaching more than that or luckily it reach at $2000 if the price will continue to uprise. Others are speculating that its impossible that this price will be reached, but as we can see right now its happening already.

The price will be stable at 1000$ for a while, it will keep climbing really slowly, then a random day it will peak in a huge green candle, and we will then see a lot of people jumping in the rocket in fear of missing out further driving the price up.

No man, the price looks strong at $1000. I believe if this condition continuously as soon as possible we will see the price reached back $1300 and like many people said in this year bitcoin price can reach $2000.

$2000 is doubtful. because the chances of etf approval is low, if the etf will be approved we'll see $2000 within this year, if not next year maybe.

I hope that this price will get to its good state for so many months and if that happens. The next level of bitcoins price will be on higher price and hopefully that can come up for the next months to come. We can expect bitcoin to reach above 2000$ I agree with that but in this year it is not possible. Last year we crossed almost 500$ and more due to halving bump, Christmas and holiday bump. This again we won't get halving so expection should lower than the last year. I guess most possible amount might be 1400$.

You have to consider the following:

1. like with any other asset trading, the majority of traders are losing, some few are winning

2. most participants in generally and in this forum specifically just follow the trend. They are never ahead of the trend.

3. You buy when all the naysayers appear here. You sell when everyone is in total euphoria and expect double price every day.

5. We are far from that now. If 80% of users here estimate it wont go up further it will go up further. If those 80% estimate
    we see 1000 $ again we wont see it again.

Follow the crowd and you will lose. If you do not dare to trade against the majority, you are far better of with buy and hold. Its better for your nerves too.

The price of bitcoin right now is now greater than the price that he was asking before and probably he is wondering right now whether the price will reach $2000 or not . It is surprising me a bit whenever I am seeing a thread like this that I didn't expect was made about a month or a year ago ;D
