What's the longest you have gone without checking the price of Bitcoin online?

For me, it was about 3 months- I had too much work assignments plus kids were unwell.

Usually I check once every two days but the recent events (halving, Brexit etc) have increase the frequency of checking to at least once a day.

If I'm correct, I've gone for about a week when I went to an island with my school friends last may. There was no internet connections at that time, so I was forced to forget the things about bitcoin, especially the current bitcoin price. That vacation was really relaxing :D

Not really sure how long, because I installed a bitcoin price checker on my phone which gives me notification every 10minutes (adjustable) since I knew about bitcoin around 1.5year ago.
Maybe the longest time is when I was asleep (7-8hours) hehehe

I think it was about 3 days when i had some personal issues and the last thing i cared about was the bitcoin price or any other activity beside my work.But i have to admit that checking bitcoin price is some kind of addiction and i do it many times every day,at least it is a harmless addiction  ;D

Just back from holiday! My last check was on 28-June so it has been more than two weeks. Price doesn't seem to have changed much since then.

I'd have to say that the longest time I've gone without checking the price of bitcoin is probably about a week.  It's when I went on  vacation.

For 3 weeks i was out of bitcoin and other things. so i didnot check the price for 3 weeks. because i was on a holiday. but what is the point of asking such question ? i dont understand for what you are collecting this generic thing from people.

I seldom checking bitcoin price, because i dont have a lot of bitcoin, i only check bitcoin when around halving event, and when i heard rumor when the price is going to up quickly

More than a year. This is because I ran out of bitcoin.

But then, when I started to see it in the news again, I got interested in it again.

Haha I remember there was a time when this was an addiction, I would check the price maybe 5-10 times an hour  :D I don't day trade anymore, it's too stressful for me and I've never been very successful at it. Although I don't day trade, I still occasionally have open positions to buy or sell but I'm a lot more calm about it now. These days I'll check the price maybe 2 or 3 times a day  :)

I don`t check the bitcoin price very often.Maybe every 48 hours.

I have small amount of btc so the price changes doesn`t affect my savings that much.

I would get nervous if a have lots of bitcoins  ;D

when i took my break from crypto was two weeks , my crypto break was 3 months!

Yey, I have been there before ole friend and I did the same, but I have walked away from that too. I now only check the price once per day and if I see high volatility situations, I climb back in until it calm down. I like to profit from the low and the highs and this leads to compulsive price checking behavior.

The Halving event pulled me back again, after a long rest. I was hoping for more volatility. ^smile^

i also was super busy a while ago that i couldn't even open bitcointalk or even post but i kept checking bitcoin price even then.
i think the longest time i didn't check the price was a couple of days at most.

It was something like addiction for me and i was checking price like every hour or so but past few months i had to make break so i was checking maybe once at week.

Almost a year for me, when price broke 350 and I stopped checking. I still read news, so I know how much Bitcoin cost most of time.
Started checking price when it moved up 450.

I check it daily, its very easy and hassle free if you have an android phone you can install apps like Preev or BTC Price. Personally I like BTC price a lot as it has all of the major exchanges listed there, like blockchain, coinbase etc. This just takes a few seconds, just a click on the app and it will automatically load your favorite exchange which you choose in the settings. Anyone can check the bitcoin price, daily, and also hourly with these kind of apps. I think any bitcoiner should have these apps or at least one of these apps installed in their smartphone. They are also very lightweight which means don't take too much space and don't slow down your phone.

The longest I've gone without checking the price of Bitcoin was for 5 days when I went on a fishing/camping trip two years ago. I usually check the price when I get up in the morning, two or three more times during the day and once more before going to bed.

I'm not sure. There was time when I didn't care much, because I haven't got btc. Now I check the price every day, I guess

Normally, during weekends I try not to think about bitcoin. No posting here, no looking at bitcoin prices, no searching for bitcoin news. So its about 2 days for me out of every 7-day period.

At the beginning when i just learned about bitcoin maybe few weeks up to a month, but now for the recent past few years the longest that i didnt checked the bitcoin price was few days maximum.

It's about 4 years. I started clicking faucet last 2010 but I did not continue since I did not appreciate bitcoin at that time. I have a 2 btc in my downloaded wallet but I lost it when I reformat my computer. On 2014 I met a post on my wall pertaining bitcoins and I was filled with regret that I lost my 2 btc and did not mind it before. I tried to open my wallet but I remembered that I deleted it during the reformat of my pc.

I'm checking the price 24/7. I even have an external display that only shows the prices of different currencies and prices, including BTC. And now I'm tempted to start trading some, haha :D

I've ever leave the bitcoin without checking bitcoin prices or any other cryptocurency touched for one month, due to the internet at home I was in trouble and its repair process requires one month.

Usuallyw I check it on.everyday basis but sometimes it happens that I skip it. So.I.think the longest period was one week or so..

I think it's around 2 months, because i'm really busy in my real life and have something important that must to do and can't check anything about bitcoin.

I go through phases where I check it everyday, multiple times sometimes, but other times I do it weekly.

I try to check no more than once a week, other things equal. But I have lower and upper price limit notifications set, so in times of extreme price  moves I get sucked into checking frequently

after getting to know about bitcoins, I check the price regularly on daily basis one to 3 times a day.

Its like one week which is few weeks before halving because i was busy with my studies and thesis. And in that same week i miss to catch profit when bitcoin jumps from 400$ range to 800$. I was willing to sell at 800$ but missed it and have to sold few of my bitcoin holding at below 700$. Its better to check price every day.

I make it a point to check bitcoin prices everyday but just last week I couldn't check for three consecutive days due to my occupation with festive season.And this is the longest I have gone without checking bitcoin price to date since I am introduced to bitcoin

The longest time I have not checked the price of Bitcoin was i think 8 months.  After sometime in 2015, I stopped following Bitcoin and even stopped visiting Bitcointalk.org to attend to real life stuff.  It was around 200+ usd, then after sometime, i got  curious to know how bitcoin is doing then was amazed that it already climbed 450+ usd.

For me, the longest time I have not checked the price of bitcoin was I thank 2 months due to lack of Internet service in my phone

It's been 6 months I didn't check the price of the bitcoin. due to my busy life to me and after I saw the price of the bitcoin now, it would be I am very happy because the price is now a larger and lucrative to me

i have gone 8 days when i had vacations with my family several months ago and i think this is the longest days i didn't check bitcoin prices

In my case it’s about 3 to 4 months. I am aware of bitcoins since 2.5 years and I started trading since 2 years but in between previous year I was away from it (although I had investment in it). I was busy with my exams and totally forgot about it, and even after that I checked bitcoin prices once in a month or so. Personally I don’t think that I should check it more often as it’s long journey and checking station every 5 minute is not required (in my opinion), If value of bitcoin starts fluctuating by 30% or 40% in short term then I would take updates more often.

Usually, I check the price of bitcoin at least twice a day ever since I started earning bitcoins for myself. But there was a time when I lost internet connection for a good one long week and that was the time that I wasn't able to check the price of bitcoin at all. But to my surprise, I was really happy when I got my internet connection since when I checked the price of bitcoin, it got up dramatically by ~$50.

I think 2 weeks,the longest time I didn't check the BTC price because I am on vacation and theres no internet connection :) But, when I'm home every time I'm in front of PC, i check the btc price i usually open my pc 24/7 because I am stalking and trading other coins ;)

I think it's ~24 hours. I had a day without an Internet connection so I wasn't able to check the price of Bitcoin online. I really have to check the price of Bitcoin from time to time because I have to sell them when the price has increased. I am always in front of my PC on weekends so I think I'm checking it every hour. On weekdays, I do bring my laptop at school so I'm still able to check the price of bitcoin every now and then. I don't want to lose a chance to sell my bitcoins in a higher price.

I guess its about 2 weeks when our family go out of town and there is no internet connection in that place where we stayed for 2 weeks. the phone signal is also weak its like an isolated place, only few people living in there and it takes 2 hours to go to the city.

2 hours, when I played one cool videogame, otherwise I'm checking the price every 20 minutes. Bitcoin charts are so addictive  :(

over the past year about 2 days max. I usually have preev.com as my browser loading page :P

A year at most; i just kept stocking my bitcoins not bothering about the price; i was astounded when i saw it was $400, now i normally see the price everyday because its just at the top corner in the blockchain wallet interface but im not really worried about the price because i was actually satisfied with it at $400, now its just more amazing than ever.

Hahahaha same with me, I'm so addictive with bitcoin price charts because I won't be able to lose the moment about bitcoin, maybe can giving some profit for me. I can check the charts every 15 minutes and see the situation in the market.

Few weeks ago I lost my INTERNET for some days. that time I wasn't able to check bitcoin price for one whole week. and that was my longest time.
usually I also don't check bitcoin price manually. every day when I online to my xapo wallet, I'll see bitcoin price there. so I don't need to separately search about bitcoin price and see what's going on.

Every time I use my bitcoin I also check the price of it, I use mobile data to be always updated to the price of bitcoin i saw the price Everytime I open my account and I don't see chart just only the real price at that moment.

a few days probably. most of the time the price ain't doing anything interesting anyway. i got better things to do with my brain power than watch a figure move by $5-10 every few minutes. if something dramatic does happen then i'll find out eventually anyway.

Sometimes I don't chack the price for a few weeks and then I'll be surprised if the price has risen with a few $100.
Bit these days, I'll check more often because of the high volatility.

Sometimes, I just can not take my eyes off of the price since I'm a trader. I need to be very alert all the time because there are times of the day that the price actually fluctuates so low and it gets back up in just a few minutes, sometimes only seconds. And those are the times that I need to watch out for, because those are the most profitable times.

Longest? Not sure, probably 12 hours or so. I have the price everywhere, so I'm unconsciously checking it all the time, be it on my phone, watch or computer. Most of the times I check just out of curiosity and not because I'm in the middle of trades.

All my life before I knew about BTC. Some good amount of years, I must say.

I usually check price when I'm online, so at most 8h without see prices when I'm awake

I didnt check facebook price for a month because i didnt h1ve any at that time but when it started growing and got passed 550$ i got back in checking and following their prices

Back in 2014 I managed to not check the price for a period of nearly 48 hours. I just wanted to see how long I could keep doing my daily things without checking what the latest exchange price was. After 48 hours I couldn't resist it anymore, and I opened the live charts. Bitcoin went up like $20 in these 2 days. :P

I think 2 years  , from 2014 - 2016 (i'm active again on 2016) . I was tired and confused on 2014 , because i didn't know how to spent it, or how to used it. But on this year , maybe i've know something useful on bitcoin , and got income on bitcoin.

For me its 1 week. The reason why i didnt even check the price of bitcoin. Cause i stopped using it for a Week. I focused on studying on my board exam. I didnt even touch my computer or even my smartphone that i can access my bitcoin. I dont let my self lose focus on studying that week . And it happened that bitcoin price strikes so high. I didnt even earn any bitcoins

I usually check ever few days form PREEV DOT COM but I think once I went for a whole 2 months without checking the Bitcoin price because I was so busy at the time and not so much involved with Bitcoin because I was busy with other survival stuff.

About near 2 weeks now but I already checked today. I'm not in the mood to look on the internet for some time but now I am ready to follow the price again.

It depend on you, if you want to get profit day to day than you should check it daily, otherwise it is not necessary to check it daily, also you can check it whenever you free. It doesn't mean that you should set front on the computer 24 hours. But if you hole depend on bitcoin and you have only bitcoin job and nothing else , than of course you should have the awareness about the bitcoins for 24 hours.

I think it was 3 days, when I went out from hometown. I don't really pay attention at the price, because it won't goes down or goes up really fast usually. ;D

If I'm not mistaken, it was a month.. it was the longest. I had many stuffs to do and also some problems, so I didn't remember about bitcoin.

I usually check bitcoin price 2-5 times a week. I mostly check it before I have bitcoin sended on my wallet.

every couple months or so for a long while. that was when I stopped mining btc and just read the forums here. wasnt mining, selling or buying so no need to check. hodl ftw!

but now its every week or so unless Im in the buying/selling mode for something. then once or twice a day till ive done whatever i wanted to do with them.

used to have a gadget on my phone that displayed btc price but never really looked at it.

Sometimes it is boring checking the price every day, the longest that I didn't checked the bitcoin price was a month probably, because I was enrolled in an cloud mining contract and didn't care too much about the bitcoin price.

sorry i am checking the price of bitcoin regularly. the price is here in from of my computer screen. it remain connected 24 hours. i think examin the price about 100 time a day.

I think about 4 weeks. When I'm on vacation I sometimes take a break from information technology altogether. Besides that it's difficult to escape pricing information when surfing through the Bitcoin sphere. So effectively I check the price almost daily.

But even if I'm constantly aware of Bitcoin's price in fiat, I don't think it is important at all. Bitcoin is superior money that is not subject to inflationary devaluation like fiat. Since fiat money is guaranteed to devalue, it is not a good method to express value at all.

Bitcoin is worth much more than its fiat price might suggest. Bitcoin enables freedom. For me, that's priceless.

I think I run into the price even when I am not specifically looking for it. it just tends to just show up on my screen somehow. And no I do not have a widget or tracker installed on my pc.  :D

But the most amount of time that I haven't seen it might have been 5 days when I had a computer failure a while ago.

I longes time i have been online without checking bitcoin price were something like almost 2 months, i were not interested into the value, i just went at poloniex checking my coins how they were with the news.

Way more than I really should, but it's a long-standing habit of mine to check prices of pretty much anything I'm invested in.  So for this question specifically, I check it multiple times a day and ever since I bought some it's been probably a few hours most in between checks.  But hey, we all have to have hobbies.  And obsessions.  And addictions.  Some are worse than others, and I don't think the bitcoin checking is all that bad.

For me I checked always the price of Bitcoin since I invested lots of Bitcoin. I checked it once in a while let's say hourly but there are times I haven't check the price for 1 month because I'm too busy on my work and didn't able to hold a pc or connecting thru net.

A few days, but typically I check at least a few times a day. It's a good idea to not pay attention and just hodl forever. Bitcoins are all long term investment.

So far I have been looking at the price every day as the price can change considerably in a matter of minutes.

That's the main reason for me to keep staring at the price and charts as I don't want to miss out if the price goes down quite a bit.

i think its about 5 hours because i am sleep and if my internet connection was get down. but i am gladly because i have alarm on my android so i can check it even if i just got woke up in the morning.

Two weeks was the longest time for me didnt check the bitcoin price. It when I was on vacation to a place that is not affordable Internet network.It felt so painful at that time cause I still hold some bitcoin on my wallet but fortunately, the price didnt change to far when I am back to my home.

this rules especially for traders, it's becomes any obligation. because this little thing can bring a lot of usefulness for traders. getting a profit for daily. but that's is will waste your time just for back and forth checking the price of bitcoin.

I'm checkng the price of Bitcoin and some alts daily.
I can not stand a day withhout doing so.Furthermore it depends if you are involved in trading or not.As a trader you have to check the prices as you're making profits or losses by that.However if you just buy and hold and plan to stay in for long it wouldn't matter.But most of us check prices at least once a day.

i guess its around 5 months.There are sometimes that whenever i am Really into something. I suddenly just stopped doing what  hyped me for a long time. and that whats happened during the 5 months.Its awesome feeling tho when you get back in business and you see some money you saved  being there . P.S but now i am checking the price once week.

I'm only interesting in Bitcoin price when I'm above to buy or sell bitcoin at the market.
Before or after that I'm no so much interesting in Bitcoin price.
Why?
I know very well, from experience, that it's almost impossible to predict Bitcoin price based on some average price, or some events, or anything else.
So, there is no point to check out BTC price every a few minutes or hours.
Bitcoin market is different from average, stock market.
So, I'm only interesting in BTC price when I need to buy or sell it.

I've never gone without checking the price for a long time. Everyday at least once I used to check for the bitcoin price.

I check the price of bitcoin every day, I mean within 24 hours i check the price of bitcoin, but now due to the stability in the price it remains in my mind that the price will be around $650 so sometime I take two days to not to go there.

Same with me, I check everytime I get on a computer or before I get off a computer. I also check on my phone here and there especially
if I have a buy offer in (then im constantly checking to see if the order filled)

Longest must have been a couple of weeks.

Was during the times that bitcoin was dropping from 600 to 200 and staying stable around that region. It became boring to me and I even lost interest till I figured it was the perfect time to start being active again.

Normally I check it in the morning and evening, even though I know I won't be acting no matter what I see.

the same for me i usaully dont check the prices for a really long time because i think that i will not do anything about it and just keep on holding all the bitcoins i have right now

For me, the longest is 3 days because i dont have internet so i dont have choice to wait the internet. And that time im busy doing my task in my home. And that time i dont have balance need to convert because i apready convert it to fiat so i dont need to see the price of it. But in that days that i dont have internet i want to know the price of altcoin that im holding.

If I have the access to the internet then I usually check price couple times a day.
When I don't have internet they I am usually on vacations or not working at that moment, so I don't care.
When I am trying to trade then I monitor price usually in real time trying to catch an opening or sudden drop.

how can you do that? i think if i have some bitcoins i will always check the price of it from time to time in order to not miss a pump and a good opportunity to sell it

For the record, I haven't checked the price of bitcoin right now and that makes two days. And just seeing this topic gave me the sudden urge to do so. I believe only for traders, it would be necessary to check the price of bitcoin so often. But I am a long term bitcoin holder, I am less interested to bitcoin prices literally. Only price levels like 2k or 10k or million are my concern.

I usually check bitcoin price every day because of my trading need. But last January, when I got married, I couldn't check bitcoin price for about two weeks. After marriage I went to Maldives for honeymoon and came back to my workplace almost after two weeks.

But the price was almost the same when I check after that time. So no big surprise.

It was almost for 2 months or more(less than 2, more than 3) because I was busy and never visited the forum, or never got involved in the crypto world for some months because of busy schedule. But now that I'm free, I can get involved, earn bitcoins and hopefully be updated with the price frequently :) I checked it three times today :D
