During the July 14-15 event, students and guests will receive education on Bitcoin innovation and blockchain technology solutions. This will be the first summer course at a public Spanish university covering these subjects. University of Cantabria The course is sponsored by SofCloudIT, K2partnering, and San Diego-based Airbitz. Day one of the event will feature theoretical modules, such as “history of electronic money,” “fundamentals of Bitcoin,” and “using Bitcoin.” Day two will cover the Bitcoin ecosystem, explore the cryptocurrency industry, and introduce the blockchain. Speakers at the event include Claudiu Tanasescu, a software developer and Bitcoin enthusiast; Óscar González Fernández, a quantitative researcher in algorithmic trading; and Steven Van Vaerenbergh, a researcher in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
