My question is, do you think this is the reason for the most recent spike? or is this just a symptom of the greater problem that is causing the prolonged rise in price? I guess both. The last part is certainly true. Confiscation is a symptom of economic and financial crisis. The counterparty risk and fiat dilution that are accompanied by such a crisis is the reason why people look for alternatives such as bitcoin.
