Is it possible to make Pokemon go like site to play for bitcoins? Do you think it is achievable? It is big niche now,and can grow even more bigger

Don't we already have that with DogeRain?
It could be achieved to make one that can be used to earn Bitcoin, but may take a large group of developers and may be expensive to achieve (you also may have copyright issues between the Pokemon Go creaters)!
This could be quite a good idea though if it can be done, though you'd have to initially check the trademark and licensing on the Pokemon Go app before continuing!

I think Second life was the closed this has come to fruition.
It was a digital currency that was used for that platform to purchase in game things.
The idea of this happening to bitcoin is not too far off because of the popularity that Pokemon has acquired in the last couple of weeks.

Nope. Your not going to go around carrying your computer, open into the outdoors with the computer camera pointed forward. You wouldn't even know when you found a pokemon expect for sounds, and I'm not sure how bitcoin can be integrated. A mobile site is out of the question, since I don't think they can use the camera, and even if they could, the game would be very laggy. If this were to happen, it would need a standalone app.

I bet most people, like over 99% of the players won't use bitcoin.

They won't be combined. Nintendo will never allow it. They are traditionalists to the core. I am not fully sure here but isn't Pokemon Go is their fist mobile app game?
They produced tons of games but they were released on their own consoles - GameBoy or later 3DS.
And anyone who will try to'borrow' intellectual property from Nintendo, without their consent, will have trouble in court instantly.

Developing Pokemon GO took 20 Years to finished said by the developer. Involving Bitcoin in activities like that is really hard, its a real-time earning and you need to develop an augmented/virtual reality app to do that, this will also require a lot of money and developers.

Personally, if you want to go full time on earning bitcoins, I don't recommend games that pays bitcoin because most of them pays really low.

Pokeman Go is like a hot cake these days, very big community playing this like crazy, but this game still need some improvement, I also would like to play this game for bitcoin so that we have to wait for a long, when this will be possible to play with our favorite coin.

Why not be a trainer i think i have seen here offering his service 10$ an hour just to find pokemons, and the business is good for now but maybe it can expand to other bitcoin related gambling.

This may just happen, if anyone would want to do it and make a better way of pokemon GO. Because you know that the dangers of using pokemon GO is very complex and need revamping in order not to give rise to negative things in the future. How easy do you think its easy to make that "site",oops did you mean the app ? The developer created Google Earth and then Pokemon Go,sure why not ? Ready to shell a billion dollar from your pockets and integrate bitcoin into it.Should not take more than 2 years.

Achievable? Unlikely, Pokemon GO had over 25 million dollars from Google and their developer helped build Google Maps. It would take a lot to convince a team to build a similar game and focus it only on a smaller market like bitcoin.

The digital currency found in second life is still relatively active today, but Entropa universe has more activity. There are people in that game who make hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I also just noticed popping up different memes about pokemon go on different social medias. This also made me curious but it is too early to say that it will be accessible by bitcoin. As someone already mentioned Nitendo doesn't accept innovative solutions. I am trying to get the idea fully before jump in. It will be great to see them together.

I barely thought about these implications but yes I can see this game being a problem in communist countries.

I don;t think there are any Russian people playing this game either. They have bigger problems in their lives then to spent time on a game that can cause them grief for just playing it. I can see them getting in trouble from their local authorities aka. Putin police.

Yes, Lindollars were the first digital currency I ever heard of and I think I still hold some and was going to transfer into bitcoins when I first heard that you could do that.
Entropa I have also heard about and played. You have to play almost 8+hours daily to achieve making that kind of money in the game and only if you own land to build your castles and casinos on to bring in    money like that.

They can lock your screen and some other things that can cause your smart phone massive problems.

That depends upon the license. 
Though it is unlikely, if they didn't want to or fogot to apply for a copyright license, it will be licensed under the GNU.
If it is released under the GNU then it is really easy to copy and edit the code!

I think all they can do now is use BTC as mode of payment, but maybe in the near future, when trading of pokemons are released, it can be done.

Yes, probably it is so for now, but things might change. If the players discover that buying various premium items for the game is easier with Bitcoin than they will use Bitcoin, why not.

Nintendo will never allow it to happen. They don't tolerate trading of virtual items for real cash and I don't think they will be very fond of the idea to let such a gambling site fly because Pokemon Go is first and foremost marketed towards children. Nintendo will probably issue cease and desist letters by the end of the day after they catch a whiff of any Pokemon Go illegal activity which Bitcoin trading/gambling is.

Plus they would never get permission to use Pokemon.

If niantic knew bitcoin, it may accept bitcoin for purchasing it's cash.
But AFAIK, google knew about altcoin named Etherium ( ETH ) so let's hope they will realize the power of bitcoin and start accept bitcoin so bitcoin will getting more popular than ever

If google recognizes Ethereum then they should accept it as a form of payment. And now that google has some attachment to nintendo thru pokemon go game then it is a step in the right direction for the next step is to implement bitcoin as a form of payment since you can exchange it for Ethereum anyways. ::)

It won't be so easy. You xn do it externally but I very much doubt Nintendo will endorse gambling in pokem especially since many children play. Will hurt their business.

Maybe something similar, just have to watch for people faking their locations like what happened in real pokermon go.  If you have a 3rd party checking everything is legit before withdraws then should be fine.

I think when trading of pokemons is released, bitcoin will just be a MOP for it. and maybe some will make a faucet using that.

Pokemon Go would have been so much better if the Pokemon could be traded on the blockchain.  They could have created a limited number of each Pokemon (based on their rarity) and created a token for each one.  They could have been traded back and forth, bought and sold, and all of this could have been done decentralized on the bitcoin blockchain.  They could have used CounterParty just like the blockchain card game "Spells of Genesis" is doing.  It would have made the game so much better and would have brought many average people into the tech of blockchain/bitcoin overnight.

It took little under a month and located in the US of course because it was not released in all locations.  Japan customers just got it available a few days ago and Nintendo Japan were the creators. ::)
Alittle bit over a hundred is all that is available for someone to have in a collection  ???

I heard that there are rare Pokemon specific to different continents and the only way other than hopping on a plane and traveling over the world to catch these is to get them to hatch from eggs. I think when trading is added to the game these special location-specific Pokemon will be worth a lot of in-game currency so probably people will be trading these on 3rd party trading websites and the possibility of trading these for Bitcoin is real I think.

If Nintendo plays it's cards right (no pun in'tend'ed) they can make this as popular as Magic The Gathering Series card game from the 90's. I am sure everybody and their mother remembers how addict that was and it was old school when the internet was just a fad. ;D

Yes it would be a fantastic combination, but unfortunately, like someone else has pointed out, it is extremely unlikely that Nintendo will do that, not unless Bitcoin is insanely mainstream, right now is too early.

But who would fund this amount of bitcoin to pay anyone who finds them? There would have to be some kind of leveling system for this to work.
I think bitcoin is mainstream as presidents in other countries are mentioning it in their speeches in the last few months.

You can create a similar game for Pokemon with GPS specifications but the hard part is you need to create a new world and I don't think it's achievable. Pokemon trademark has more value than anything similar, it's in our lives for 21 years. I think that's why it has so much support, it brought everybody back to their childhood. When we play Pokemon cards and tasos, watching Pokemon in TV. Good times though.

The only thing i know is i had considered pokemon a dead game, it were amazing play with gameboy, then i had growed and i dont see those game being on the childs games. With those huge revolution they reborn and bringed me back to the period i were a child and i play those game. As soon the trades are allowed the transactions can easy go with bitcoins, atleast at this forum where there are several reputable escrow.

Yes you could but I wouldn't go public like that. Nintendo would not want to be associated with gambling also you need a license to use their name and content. You need both and permission to have competitive battles. However you could keep it private here on the forums and have private battles and even a leadership ladder. You would need a few trusted members to hold the funds or an escrow which ever is easiest and fastest. You could even start bets over the outcome :)

If there is someone who thinks that this is profitable then i guess he/she would really do some moves to make this thing happens. If this idea would happen i will support this a lot

I am 100% sure people will come up with ingenious ideas for trading rare and powerful Pokemon for real cash on 3rd party sites. It's just inevitable and with a player base so big there must be a lot of wealthy players who value their time much more than their money. Plus illegal trading in games has been around forever. Just look at how people trade rare players on the FIFA games and this method could be applied to Pokemon Go as well.

There have been knock off games of Pokemon Go popping up that is very similar but of course not endorsed by Nintendo. They could face legal law suits if they do get popular with accepting a bitcoin style gambling system into their game.

Well it is possible, soon there will be other games just like pokemon go. but i'm not sure anyone will make a game that will include bitcoin, it would be cool though to have a game just like pokemon go for bitcoin hunting.  ;)

Why is it funny? If it didn't involve some sort of way to make money then less people would not be interested as this is a game intended for children and adults would see it as a waste of their time if it was just for "the fun of playing".

I actually know about the pokebits as i heard some of my friends played before. I was not attracted to it previously but now when the pokemon go come out for a lot of countries and mine is still in an endless time frame of waiting, i am really tempted to try that out to reduce the urge.

Many gamble as they get the fun to play the game more than they get to make money but thinking logically, I don't see how pokemon go would be possible for bitcoin gambling websites. The cost would be too much to handle and like we are seeing so many negative reviews about this game, it doesn't interest me to have bitcoins associated with it.

While there are negative reviews about the game, the game has received a lot of publicity and there are a lot of people who enjoy playing pokemon go; I thought the game was well received by the public, and had more positives than negatives. It would be a good idea to create a game similar to pokemon go, however there are flaws...

...with bitcoin, money involved, it is different. I don't see how a concept could be brought up involving bitcoins, and it is an insane cost for a bitcoin based company to create and not worth it, as they'd have to attract dedicated players to make money; pokemon go took off because of all the hype beforehand.

For these reasons, I don't think that we'll see a pokemon go related game with bitcoins soon in the near future.

pokemon is just a game, i think. but its a good idea to make pokemon to play for bitcoins, maybe there are a developer which want to make it happen. and yes pokemon now become famous, but unfortunately, people which play pokemon do not realize and do not think that they are in public situation which is they they can not act like that. i mean take around in your stand, there are people in around you, and you just busy to find and play pokemon? geezz, in my city, there are one player which play pokemon have got accident while he played pokemon, this is because he do not realize when he search pokemon, he is stand right in front of highway and blammm he's got injured, hit by car in that highway.

By the way, it will take years to have similar stuff on your phone,for btc I mean,cmon, hire a developer for phone and pay him for 2 years straight,he will do it. It will cost you about 70/80 btc at least but it will be worth? Ask yourself that.

Pokemon Go is just a fad. After a while people will get bored with the game and realize how stupid they look from others' perspective running around like headless chickens lugging around power banks strapped to their phones. It looks ridiculous if you ask me and to make things worse some people will do reckless things to get Pokemon and endanger the lives of others in the process. Nintendo and Niantic must be laughing their way to the bank  ;D

Yeah, it's probably just right, because most people who use the POkemon GO I think just follow the trend is happening and if they've seen the latest trend then Pokemon GO 100% will be lost from their minds, unless nintendo and niantic delivers innovation against pokemon GO

I don't think it would be possible as it's not only a virtual game but a reality game as well and the game as well is brand new and it would require a bigger bankroll that most investors wouldn't like to risk. I can't imagine how much they would need to invest in this game and it would be practically so high that if they have few players, the loss would be too much to incur.

I think this is very possible but to use pokemon go they must talk to the people who have the authority over all the stuff of pokemon go.  They need to have authorization or pay franchise for it.   This will be another boost for both Pokemong Go ang bitcoin.  Two separate group uniting it's a good merging.

There were some cool dogecoin games but Google play shut them down because they transmitted money, which is against policy.

There are everyday new articles about this game and I plan to install it soon. Since bitcoin gambling sites already have quite many games to play for bitcoins, it would be best for them and for bitcoins. Also, if the game website has bitcoin payment as an option, it would be more preferable.

That will be hard. Pokemon Go was created to enjoy, not to earn money. You can create your own game if you know how to create one. You can also hire developers to do that for you but that will be a huge cost. I think there are games recently that you can play in exchange for bitcoin. There are a lot of games but I didn't see anything like Pokemon Go. It is achievable to create your own game similar to pokemon go that gives you bitcoin.

It is not impossible to integrate bitcoin to pokemon go.  All you need to do is process all the necessary materials and have partnership with pokemon if you are to put BTC in it.  If Pokemon Go accept the deal then modification and integration of bitcoin to pokemon go app will proceed.  this may take time and additional budget but im sure the effect would be great for both party.

I think the main issue there would be copyright problems. You would probably have to do something similar but not pokemon, and if you do that it would probably lose interest so I'm not sure it will work.

Pokemon go is really a nice game, but it will be hard to earn BTC on that game directly, although one possibility is BTC being as MOP when pokemon trades are released already.

Maybe you can copy the idea, but I don't think you can associate to pokemon because of copyright.

There are so many peopel interested into the gambling sites or other things that depends all about the pokemon because allot of younger people are so addicted to the pokemon they cant even talk to each other without arguming with each other.

With or without a Pokemon license it still is hard to make the whole of Google maps intergrate with a game of augmented reality. It is not so please even to just get an app that let's you use GPS as a map with virtual things on top of the map that you see with the screen. That is very hard and Pokemon go has this and the camera mode too ! Even harder ! The team working on Pokemon have endless resource a d massive team. It cannot be competed .

I think the developers should have to think about to create something like that as pokemon go is now much famous all over the world, and if people will start to earn bitcoin(money) with that it will bost up within the communities and with that more people will know about bitcoin.

To make such game as pokemon, even not being pokemon, create your own pokemon game, it will avoid the copyrights, but this will require a huge investment and more then one developer i do believe. But would be great to play a game like pokemon, people are addicted to it.
